NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron,	1 Yahveh habló a Moisés y a Aarón, diciendo:
2 'If a swel ing or scab or spot appears on someone's skin, which could develop into a contagious skin-disease, that person must then be taken to the priest, either Aaron or one of his sons.	2 Cuando uno tenga en la piel de su carne tumor, erupción o mancha blancuzca brillante, y se forme en la piel de su carne como una llaga de lepra, será llevado al sacerdote Aarón o a uno de sus hijos, los sacerdotes.
3 The priest wil examine the disease on the skin. If the hair on the diseased part has turned white, or ifthe disease bites into the skin, the skin-disease is contagious, and after examination the priest wil declare theperson unclean.	3 El sacerdote examinará la llaga en la piel de la carne; si el pelo en la llaga se ha vuelto blanco, y la llaga parece más hundida que la piel de su carne, es llaga de lepra; cuando el sacerdote lo haya comprobado, le declarará impuro.
4 But if there is a white spot on the skin without any visible depression of the skin or whitening of thehair, the priest wil isolate the sick person for seven days.	4 Mas si hay en la piel de su carne una mancha blancuzca brillante sin que parezca más hundida que la piel, y sin que el pelo se haya vuelto blanco, el sacerdote recluirá durante siete días al afectado.
5 On the seventh day he wil examine the person, and if he observes that the disease persists thoughwithout spreading over the skin, he will isolate the person for a further seven days	5 Al séptimo día el sacerdote lo examinará, y si comprueba que la llaga se ha detenido, no se ha extendido por la piel, el sacerdote entonces lo recluirá otros siete días.
6 and examine him again on the seventh. If he finds that the disease has faded and has not spread overthe skin, the priest wil declare the person clean. This was merely a scab. Once he has washed his clothing hewil be clean.	6 Pasados estos siete días, el sacerdote lo examinará nuevamente: si ve que la llaga ha perdido su color y no se ha extendido en la piel, el sacerdote lo declarará puro; no se trata más que de una erupción. Lavará sus vestidos y quedará puro.
7 'But if the scab spreads over the skin after the sick person has been examined by the priest anddeclared clean, then he wil let himself be examined again by the priest.	7 Pero si después que el sacerdote le ha examinado y declarado puro, sigue la erupción extendiéndose por la piel, se presentará de nuevo al sacerdote.
8 After examining him and certifying the spread of the scab over the skin, the priest wil declare himunclean: it is a contagious skin-disease.	8 El sacerdote, al comprobar que la erupción se extiende por la piel, lo declarará impuro: es un caso de lepra.
9 'Someone who has a contagious skin-disease must be taken to the priest.	9 Cuando en un hombre se manifieste una llaga como de lepra, será llevado al sacerdote.
10 The priest wil examine the sick person, and if he finds a whitish swel ing with whitening of the hairand an ulcer forming on the skin,	10 El sacerdote lo examinará, y si observa un tumor blancuzco en la piel, el color del pelo mudado en blanco y una úlcera en la hinchazón,
11 this is a dormant skin-disease, and the priest wil declare the person unclean. He wil not isolate him;he is obviously unclean.	11 se trata de lepra arraigada en su piel; el sacerdote lo declarará impuro y no le recluirá, porque es impuro.
12 'But if the disease spreads all through the skin, if it covers the person entirely from head to foot so faras the priest can see,	12 Pero si la lepra se ha extendido por la piel hasta cubrir toda la piel del enfermo desde la cabeza hasta los pies, en cuanto alcanza a verlo el sacerdote,
13 the priest wil then examine the sick person and, if he finds that the skin-disease covers his wholebody, declare the sick person clean. Since it has al become white, he is clean.	13 éste lo examinará, y si la lepra ha cubierto toda su carne, declarará puro al afectado por la llaga: se ha vuelto todo blanco; es puro.
14 But as soon as an ulcer appears on him, he wil be unclean.	14 Pero cuando se vea en él una úlcera, quedará impuro;
15 After examining the ulcer, the priest will declare him unclean: the ulcer is unclean, it is contagious.	15 en cuanto el sacerdote vea la úlcera, lo declarará impuro. La úlcera es impura; es un caso de lepra.
16 But if the ulcer becomes white again, the sick person wil go to the priest;	16 Pero si la úlcera cambia, volviéndose blanca, el afectado ha de presentarse al sacerdote.
17 the priest wil examine him and if he finds that the disease has turned white, he wil declare the sickperson clean: he is clean.	17 El sacerdote lo examinará, y al ver que la llaga se ha vuelto blanca, declarará puro al afectado por la enfermedad: es puro.
18 'When an ulcer appears on someone's skin, and then gets better,	18 Cuando en la piel de alguno se ha curado un divieso,
19 and if then a white swel ing or a reddish-white spot forms on the same place, the sick person wilshow himself to the priest.	19 y en el lugar del divieso aparece un tumor blanco, o una mancha de color blanco rojizo, ése habrá de presentarse al sacerdote.
20 The priest wil examine him, and if he finds a visible depression in the skin and a whitening of thehair, he wil declare the person unclean: this is a case of contagious skin-disease breaking out in an ulcer.	20 El sacerdote lo examinará, y si la mancha parece más hundida que la piel y su pelo se ha vuelto blanco, el sacerdote lo declarará impuro. Es llaga de lepra que se ha producido en el divieso.
21 But if on examination the priest finds neither white hair nor depression of the skin, but a fading of theaffected part, he wil isolate the sick person for seven days.	21 Pero si el sacerdote ve que no hay en ella pelo blanco, ni está más hundida que la piel, y que ha perdido color, le recluirá por siete días.
22 If the disease has then spread over the skin, he will declare the person unclean: this is a case ofcontagious skin-disease.	22 Si entonces se extiende por la piel, el sacerdote lo declarará impuro; es un caso de lepra.
23 But if the spot has stayed where it was and has not spread, it is the scar of the ulcer and the priestwil declare the person clean.	23 Pero si la mancha sigue estacionaria, sin extenderse, es la cicatriz del divieso; el sacerdote lo declarará puro.
24 'If someone has a burn on the skin and an abscess, a reddish-white or white spot, forms on the burn,	24 Cuando en la piel de alguien hay una quemadura, y sobre la quemadura se forma una mancha de color blanco rojizo o sólo blanco,
25 the priest wil then examine it. If he finds a whitening of the hair or a visible depression of the mark onthe skin, a contagious disease has broken out in the burn. The priest wil declare the sick person unclean: this isa contagious skin-disease.	25 el sacerdote la examinará; y si el pelo se ha vuelto blanco en la mancha blanca y ésta aparece más hundida que la piel, es que se ha producido lepra en la quemadura. El sacerdote lo declarará impuro; es un caso de lepra.
26 If on the other hand the priest on examination does not find white hair on the mark or depression ofthe skin, but a fading of the mark, the priest will isolate the person for seven days.	26 Si, en cambio, el sacerdote observa que en la mancha no aparece pelo blanco, que no está más hundida que la piel y que ha perdido color, lo recluirá siete días.
27 He wil examine the person on the seventh day and, if the disease has spread over the skin, he wildeclare the sick person unclean: this is a case of contagious skin-disease.	27 Al séptimo día lo examinará, y si se ha extendido por la piel, el sacerdote lo declarará impuro; es un caso de lepra.
28 If the mark has stayed where it was and has not spread over the skin, but has faded instead, it wasonly a swel ing due to the burn. The priest wil declare the person clean: it is merely a burn scar.	28 Pero si la mancha sigue estacionaria sin extenderse por la piel y ha perdido color, se trata de la hinchazón de la quemadura, y el sacerdote lo declarará puro; pues es la cicatriz de la quemadura.
29 'If a man or a woman has a sore on the head or chin,	29 Cuando un hombre o una mujer tengan una llaga en la cabeza o en la barbilla,
30 the priest wil examine the sore; and if he finds a depression visible in the skin, with the hair on ityel ow and thin, he wil declare the sick person unclean: this is tinea, that is to say, a contagious skin-disease of the head or chin.	30 el sacerdote examinará la llaga, y si ésta aparece más hundida que la piel, y si hay en ella pelo amarillento y más ralo, el sacerdote lo declarará impuro; es tiña, o sea, lepra de la cabeza o de la barbilla.
31 If on examining this case of tinea the priest finds no visible depression in the skin and no yellow hair,he wil isolate the person so affected for seven days.	31 Mas si el sacerdote ve que la llaga de tiña no aparece más hundida que la piel, y que no hay en ella pelo amarillento, recluirá al afectado por la tiña durante siete días.
32 He wil examine the infected part on the seventh day, and if he finds that the tinea has not spread,that the hair on it is not yel ow, and that there is no visible depression in the skin,	32 Al séptimo, el sacerdote examinará el mal, y si no se ha extendido la tiña, ni hay en ella pelo amarillento, ni la llaga aparece más hundida que la piel,
33 the sick person will shave his hair off, all except the part affected with tinea, and the priest wil againisolate him for seven days.	33 aquella persona se afeitará, excepto en el lugar de la tiña; y el sacerdote recluirá al afectado durante otros siete días.
34 He wil examine the infected part on the seventh day, and if he finds that it has not spread over theskin, and that there is no visible depression of the skin, the priest wil declare the sick person clean. Afterwashing his clothes the person wil be clean.	34 Al séptimo día el sacerdote lo examinará y si no se ha extendido la llaga por la piel, ni aparece más hundida que la piel, le declarará puro; lavará sus vestidos y quedará puro.
35 But if after this purification the tinea does spread over the skin,	35 Pero si la tiña, después de la purificación, se extiende mucho por la piel,
36 the priest wil examine the person; if he finds that the tinea has indeed spread over the skin, the sickperson is unclean, and there is no need to verify whether the hair is yellow.	36 el sacerdote lo examinará. Si comprueba que la tiña se ha extendido por la piel, el sacerdote ya no tendrá que buscar pelo amarillento; aquella persona es impura.
37 Whereas if, so far as he can see, the tinea is arrested and dark hair is beginning to grow on it, thesick person is cured. He is clean, and the priest will declare him clean.	37 Mas si, según su opinión, la tiña no se ha extendido y ha brotado en ella pelo negro, se ha curado la tiña. Esa persona es pura y el sacerdote la declarará pura.
38 'If spots break out on the skin of a man or woman, and if these spots are white,	38 Cuando un hombre o una mujer tengan en su piel manchas brillantes, manchas blancas,
39 the priest wil examine them. If he finds that the spots are of a dul white, this is a rash that hasbroken out on the skin: the sick person is clean.	39 el sacerdote las examinará; si comprueba que las manchas de la piel son de color blanco, se trata de un eccema que ha brotado en la piel; esta persona es pura.
40 'If someone loses the hair of the scalp, this is baldness of the scalp but the person is clean.	40 Si a alguno se le cae el pelo de la cabeza y queda calvo por detrás, es puro.
41 If he loses hair off the front of the head, this is baldness of the forehead but the person is clean.	41 Si se le cae el pelo de la parte delantera de la cabeza, es calvo por delante, pero es puro.
42 If, however, a reddish-white sore appears on scalp or forehead, a contagious skin-disease hasbroken out on the scalp or forehead.	42 Pero si en la calva, por detrás o por delante, aparece una llaga de color rojizo, es lepra que se ha producido en la calva, sea por detrás o por delante.
43 The priest wil examine it, and if he finds a reddish-white swel ing on scalp or forehead, looking like acontagious skin-disease,	43 El sacerdote la examinará y si la hinchazón de la llaga en la parte calva es de color blanco rojizo, con aspecto de lepra en la piel,
44 the person has such a disease: he is unclean. The priest will declare him unclean; he has acontagious skin-disease of the head.	44 se trata de un leproso: es impuro. El sacerdote le declarará impuro; tiene lepra en la cabeza.
45 'Anyone with a contagious skin-disease wil wear torn clothing and disordered hair; and wil cover theupper lip and shout, "Unclean, unclean."	45 El afectado por la lepra llevará los vestido rasgados y desgreñada la cabeza, se cubrirá hasta el bigote e irá gritando: «¡Impuro, impuro!»
46 As long as the disease lasts, such a person wil be unclean and, being unclean, will live alone andlive outside the camp.	46 Todo el tiempo que dure la llaga, quedará impuro. Es impuro y habitará solo; fuera del campamento tendrá su morada.
47 'When a piece of clothing is infected with mould, be it wool en or linen clothing,	47 Cuando aparezca una llaga de lepra en un vestido de lana o de lino,
48 linen or wool en fabric or covering, or leather or anything made of leather,	48 o en tejido o cobertor de lino o lana, o en una piel, o en cualquier objeto de cuero,
49 if the spot on the clothing, leather, fabric, covering or object made of leather is a greenish or reddishcolour, it is a disease to be shown to the priest.	49 si la mancha en el vestido o en la piel, o en el tejido o en el cobertor, o en cualquier objeto hecho de cuero, tiene color verdoso o rojizo, es llaga de lepra y debe ser mostrada al sacerdote.
50 The priest wil examine the infection and isolate the object for seven days.	50 El sacerdote examinará la mancha y encerrará el objeto manchado durante siete días.
51 If on the seventh day he observes that the infection has spread on the clothing, fabric, covering,leather or object made of leather, whatever it may be, this is a contagious disease and the object is unclean.	51 Al séptimo, el sacerdote examinará la mancha y si se ha extendido por el vestido, tejido, cobertor, piel o por un objeto de cuero, es un caso de lepra maligna y el objeto es impuro.
52 He wil burn this clothing, fabric, linen or woollen covering or leather object whatever it may be, onwhich the infection has appeared; for this is a contagious disease which must be destroyed by fire.	52 Se quemará el vestido, tejido, cobertor de lana o de lino o el objeto de cuero en que se encuentre la mancha, pues es lepra maligna; será quemado.
53 'But if on examination the priest finds that the infection has not spread on the clothing, fabric,covering, or leather object whatever it may be,	53 Pero si el sacerdote ve que no se ha extendido la mancha por el vestido, tejido, cobertor o el objeto de cuero,
54 he wil order the infected object to be washed and wil isolate it again for a period of seven days.	54 hará lavar el objeto manchado y lo encerrará otros siete días.
55 After the washing, he wil examine the infection and if he finds that there is no change in itsappearance, even though it has not spread, the article is unclean. You wil burn it; it is infected through andthrough.	55 Si el sacerdote ve que la mancha, después de haber sido lavada, no ha mudado de aspecto, aunque la mancha no se haya extendido, el objeto es impuro; lo entregarás al fuego: es una infección por la cara y el envés.
56 'But if on examination the priest finds that the infection has diminished after washing, he will tear it outof the clothing, leather, fabric or covering.	56 Pero si el sacerdote ve que la parte manchada, después de lavada, ha perdido color, la rasgará del vestido, del cuero, del tejido o del cobertor.
57 But if the infection reappears on the same clothing, fabric, covering or leather object whatever it maybe, this means that the infection is active; you will burn whatever is infected.	57 Pero si vuelve a aparecer en el vestido, tejido, cobertor o en un objeto de cuero, es mal contagioso; quemarás lo que está afectado por la lepra.
58 The clothing, fabric, covering or leather object whatever it may be, from which the infectiondisappears after being washed, wil be clean after it has been washed a second time.	58 En cuanto al vestido, tejido, cobertor o el objeto de cuero, que después de ser lavado pierdan la mancha, serán lavados por segunda vez y quedarán puros.
59 'Such is the law governing disease in a linen or wool en garment, a fabric or covering or leather objectwhatever it may be, when it is a question of declaring them clean or unclean.'	59 Estas es la ley para la mancha de lepra que se halla en los vestidos de lana o de lino, en el tejido e en el cobertor o en cualquier objeto hecho de cuero, para declararlos puros o impuros.
