Isaiah 58

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Shout for all you are worth, do not hold back, raise your voice like a trumpet. To my people proclaimtheir rebel ious acts, to the House of Jacob, their sins.	1 Grida senza darti posa, fa risonar la tua voce come una tromba, e annunzia al mio popolo i suoi peccati, le sue iniquità alla casa di Giacobbe.
2 They seek for me day after day, they long to know my ways, like a nation that has acted uprightly andnot forsaken the law of its God. They ask me for laws that are upright, they long to be near God:	2 Essi mi cercano ogni giorno, per conoscere le mie vie, come gente che abbia praticata la giustizia e non abbia mai abbandonata la legge del suo Dio. Mi chiedon ragione dei miei giusti giudizi, e vogliono stare a petto con Dio.
3 'Why have we fasted, if you do not see, why mortify ourselves if you never notice?' Look, you seek yourown pleasure on your fastdays and you exploit al your workmen;	3 « Perchè abbiamo digiunato e non ci guardasti, abbiamo umiliate le anime nostre e fingi di non saperlo? » — Ecco nel giorno del vostro digiuno, apparisce la vostra volontà, e mettete alle strette i vostri debitori.
4 look, the only purpose of your fasting is to quarrel and squabble and strike viciously with your fist.Fasting like yours today wil never make your voice heard on high.	4 Ecco voi digiunate per litigare e quistionare e fare empiamente ai pugni. Non vogliate più digiunare come fino ad oggi, per far sentire in alto i vostri clamori.
5 Is that the sort of fast that pleases me, a day when a person inflicts pain on himself? Hanging yourhead like a reed, spreading out sackcloth and ashes? Is that what you cal fasting, a day acceptable to Yahweh?	5 E' forse questo il digiuno che io voglio? Che l'uomo affligga per un giorno l'anima sua, torca come un cerchio il capo, si getti col sacco sulla cenere? Questo lo chiamerai digiuno, e giorno accetto al Signore?
6 Is not this the sort of fast that pleases me: to break unjust fetters, to undo the thongs of the yoke. to letthe oppressed go free, and to break al yokes?	6 Non è forse quest'altro il digiuno da me preferito? Rompi le catene del peccato, sciogli le obbligazioni che opprimono, metti in libertà chi è in strettezze, togli ogni gravame.
7 Is it not sharing your food with the hungry, and sheltering the homeless poor; if you see someonelacking clothes, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own kin?	7 Spezza all'affamato il tuo pane, accogli nella tua casa i poveri e i pellegrini, e, se vedi un ignudo, rivestilo, e non disprezzare la tua propria carne.
8 Then your light wil blaze out like the dawn and your wound be quickly healed over. Saving justice wilgo ahead of you and Yahweh's glory come behind you.	8 Allora la tua luce spunterà come l'aurora, presto verrà la tua guarigione, andrà dinanzi a te la tua giustizia, e la gloria del Signore ti accoglierà.
9 Then you will cry for help and Yahweh wil answer; you will cal and he will say, 'I am here.' If you doaway with the yoke, the clenched fist and malicious words,	9 Allora tu pregherai, e il Signore ti esaudirà: appena alzerai la voce egli dirà: « Eccomi ». Se tu ti toglierai d'addosso la catena, se cesserai di stendere il dito, e i discorsi sconvenienti.
10 if you deprive yourself for the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, your light wil rise in thedarkness, and your darkest hour wil be like noon.	10 Se aprirai il tuo cuore all'affamato, se consolerai l'anima afflitta, la tua luce brillerà nelle tenebre, e le tue tenebre diverranno un meriggio,
11 Yahweh will always guide you, wil satisfy your needs in the scorched land; he wil give strength toyour bones and you wil be like a watered garden, like a flowing spring whose waters never run dry.	11 e il Signore ti darà eterno riposo e inonderà la tua anima di splendori, e darà vigore alle tue ossa, e tu sarai come un giardino irrigato e come una fontana a cui non mancheranno mai le acque.
12 Your ancient ruins wil be rebuilt; you will build on age -- old foundations. You wil be cal ed 'Breach-mender', 'Restorer of streets to be lived in'.	12 Da te saranno popolati di case i luoghi da secoli deserti, alzerai sui fondamenti di generazioni e generazioni. E sarai chiamato ricostruttore delle mura, restauratore della sicurezza nelle strade.
13 If you refrain from breaking the Sabbath, from taking your own pleasure on my holy day, if you cal the Sabbath 'Delightful', and the day sacred to Yahweh 'Honourable', if you honour it by abstaining from travel, fromseeking your own pleasure and from too much talk,	13 Se non t'allontanerai dal sabato, e non farai come ti pare nel mio santo giorno, se chiamerai il sabato (tua) delizia e glorioso il consacrato al Signore, e lo onorerai senza fare i tuoi interessi, e non farai trovare la tua soddisfazione nelle ciarle,
14 then you wil find true happiness in Yahweh, and I shal lead you in triumph over the heights of theland. I shall feed you on the heritage of your father Jacob, for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.	14 allora troverai le tue delizie nel Signore, ed io ti eleverò sopra le altezze della terra, ti nutrirò coll'eredità di Giacobbe tuo padre, perchè la bocca del Signore ha parlato.
