Isaiah 58

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 Shout for all you are worth, do not hold back, raise your voice like a trumpet. To my people proclaimtheir rebel ious acts, to the House of Jacob, their sins.	1 - Grida, non darti posa, alza la tua voce come una tromba e annunzia al popolo mio le sue scelleraggini, e alla casa di Giacobbe i suoi peccati!
2 They seek for me day after day, they long to know my ways, like a nation that has acted uprightly andnot forsaken the law of its God. They ask me for laws that are upright, they long to be near God:	2 Poichè ogni giorno vengono a ricercarmi e vogliono sapere le mie intenzioni; come gente che abbia praticata la giustizia e non abbia abbandonato mai la legge del suo Dio; mi chieggono ragioni di giustizia, vogliono mettersi a tu per tu con Dio.
3 'Why have we fasted, if you do not see, why mortify ourselves if you never notice?' Look, you seek yourown pleasure on your fastdays and you exploit al your workmen;	3 «Abbiamo digiunato, e tu perchè non ne hai fatto conto? Abbiamo umiliato le anime nostre, e tu hai fatto vista di non saperlo!». Ecco, col giorno del vostro digiuno conciliate i vostri interessi, e siete pieni di esigenze verso tutti i vostri debitori.
4 look, the only purpose of your fasting is to quarrel and squabble and strike viciously with your fist.Fasting like yours today wil never make your voice heard on high.	4 Ecco, voi digiunate per darvi alle liti e alle contese e per venire iniquamente ai pugni! Non dovete digiunare così, come avete fatto fino ad oggi, per far sentire in alto il suono della vostra voce.
5 Is that the sort of fast that pleases me, a day when a person inflicts pain on himself? Hanging yourhead like a reed, spreading out sackcloth and ashes? Is that what you cal fasting, a day acceptable to Yahweh?	5 Il digiuno che io apprezzo sta esso in questo, che l'uomo affligga per un giorno l'anima sua? Che si rannicchi a capo basso come un gomitolo, e in veste di sacco e nella cenere si prostri? Chiamaresti tu questo, digiuno e giorno ben accetto al Signore?
6 Is not this the sort of fast that pleases me: to break unjust fetters, to undo the thongs of the yoke. to letthe oppressed go free, and to break al yokes?	6 Non è piuttosto quest'altro il digiuno che è di mio gradimento? - Sciogli gli strozzinaggi dell'empietà, rimetti le obbligazioni gravose, rimanda liberi gli oppressi, e rompi ogni gravame.
7 Is it not sharing your food with the hungry, and sheltering the homeless poor; if you see someonelacking clothes, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own kin?	7 Spezza il tuo pane a chi ha fame, e conduci i poveri e i raminghi a casa tua; se vedi uno ignudo, ricoprilo; e non disprezzare chi è carne e ossa come te.
8 Then your light wil blaze out like the dawn and your wound be quickly healed over. Saving justice wilgo ahead of you and Yahweh's glory come behind you.	8 Allora la tua luce come l'aurora spunterà, e la tua sanità sollecitamente germoglierà, e la tua giustizia camminerà innanzi a te, e la gloria del Signore ti raccoglierà.
9 Then you will cry for help and Yahweh wil answer; you will cal and he will say, 'I am here.' If you doaway with the yoke, the clenched fist and malicious words,	9 Allora tu invocherai, e il Signore ti esaudirà; chiamerai, ed egli dirà: «Eccomi!». Purchè tolga via da te le catene, e cessi dal minacciar agitando il dito e dal parlare ciò che non va bene.
10 if you deprive yourself for the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, your light wil rise in thedarkness, and your darkest hour wil be like noon.	10 Quando prodigherai te stesso all'affamato, e satollerai l'anima che langue; nascerà in mezzo all'oscurità la tua luce, e le tue tenebre saranno come il mezzogiorno.
11 Yahweh will always guide you, wil satisfy your needs in the scorched land; he wil give strength toyour bones and you wil be like a watered garden, like a flowing spring whose waters never run dry.	11 E il Signore ti darà riposo sempre e sazierà di splendori l'anima tua, e preserverà le tue ossa: e sarai come un giardino irrigato, e come una fontana le cui acque non verranno mai a mancare.
12 Your ancient ruins wil be rebuilt; you will build on age -- old foundations. You wil be cal ed 'Breach-mender', 'Restorer of streets to be lived in'.	12 E saranno riedificati i già per te secolari deserti, alzerai i fondamenti di generazioni e generazioni; e sarai chiamato restauratore di macerie, riconduttore di strade alla tranquillità.
13 If you refrain from breaking the Sabbath, from taking your own pleasure on my holy day, if you cal the Sabbath 'Delightful', and the day sacred to Yahweh 'Honourable', if you honour it by abstaining from travel, fromseeking your own pleasure and from too much talk,	13 Se tratterai il tuo piede in giorno di sabato, senza fare i tuoi affari nel giorno a me consacrato; se chiamerai il sabato, giorno delle tue delizie, e il giorno sacro del Signore, venerabile; se lo venererai senza fare gli affari tuoi, e senza trovare soddisfazione alle tue voglie, nè spenderlo in vane conversazioni;
14 then you wil find true happiness in Yahweh, and I shal lead you in triumph over the heights of theland. I shall feed you on the heritage of your father Jacob, for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.	14 allora troverai la tua delizia nel Signore, ed io ti solleverò alle superne altezze della terra, e ti ciberò del retaggio di Giacobbe tuo padre: perchè la bocca del Signore ha parlato.
