Isaiah 58

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Shout for all you are worth, do not hold back, raise your voice like a trumpet. To my people proclaimtheir rebel ious acts, to the House of Jacob, their sins.	1 Clama a voz en grito, no te moderes; levanta tu voz como cuerno y denuncia a mi pueblo su rebeldía y a la casa de Jacob sus pecados.
2 They seek for me day after day, they long to know my ways, like a nation that has acted uprightly andnot forsaken the law of its God. They ask me for laws that are upright, they long to be near God:	2 A mí me buscan día a día y les agrada conocer mis caminos, como si fueran gente que la virtud practica y el rito de su Dios no hubiesen abandonado. Me preguntan por las leyes justas, la vecindad de su Dios les agrada.
3 'Why have we fasted, if you do not see, why mortify ourselves if you never notice?' Look, you seek yourown pleasure on your fastdays and you exploit al your workmen;	3 - ¿Por qué ayunamos, si tú no lo ves? ¿Para qué nos humillamos, si tú no lo sabes? - Es que el día en que ayunabais, buscabais vuestro negocio y explotabais a todos vuestros trabajadores.
4 look, the only purpose of your fasting is to quarrel and squabble and strike viciously with your fist.Fasting like yours today wil never make your voice heard on high.	4 Es que ayunáis para litigio y pleito y para dar de puñetazos a malvados. No ayunéis como hoy, para hacer oír en las alturas vuestra voz.
5 Is that the sort of fast that pleases me, a day when a person inflicts pain on himself? Hanging yourhead like a reed, spreading out sackcloth and ashes? Is that what you cal fasting, a day acceptable to Yahweh?	5 ¿Acaso es éste el ayuno que yo quiero el día en que se humilla el hombre? ¿Había que doblegar como junco la cabeza, en sayal y ceniza estarse echado? ¿A eso llamáis ayuno y día grato a Yahveh?
6 Is not this the sort of fast that pleases me: to break unjust fetters, to undo the thongs of the yoke. to letthe oppressed go free, and to break al yokes?	6 ¿No será más bien este otro el ayuno que yo quiero: desatar los lazos de maldad, deshacer las coyundas del yugo, dar la libertad a los quebrantados, y arrancar todo yugo?
7 Is it not sharing your food with the hungry, and sheltering the homeless poor; if you see someonelacking clothes, to clothe him, and not to turn away from your own kin?	7 ¿No será partir al hambriento tu pan, y a los pobres sin hogar recibir en casa? ¿Que cuando veas a un desnudo le cubras, y de tu semejante no te apartes?
8 Then your light wil blaze out like the dawn and your wound be quickly healed over. Saving justice wilgo ahead of you and Yahweh's glory come behind you.	8 Entonces brotará tu luz como la aurora, y tu herida se curará rápidamente. Te precederá tu justicia, la gloria de Yahveh te seguirá.
9 Then you will cry for help and Yahweh wil answer; you will cal and he will say, 'I am here.' If you doaway with the yoke, the clenched fist and malicious words,	9 Entonces clamarás, y Yahveh te responderá, pedirás socorro, y dirá: «Aquí estoy». Si apartas de ti todo yugo, no apuntas con el dedo y no hablas maldad,
10 if you deprive yourself for the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, your light wil rise in thedarkness, and your darkest hour wil be like noon.	10 repartes al hambriento tu pan, y al alma afligida dejas saciada, resplandecerá en las tinieblas tu luz, y lo oscuro de ti será como mediodía.
11 Yahweh will always guide you, wil satisfy your needs in the scorched land; he wil give strength toyour bones and you wil be like a watered garden, like a flowing spring whose waters never run dry.	11 Te guiará Yahveh de continuo, hartará en los sequedales tu alma, dará vigor a tus huesos, y serás como huerto regado, o como manantial cuyas aguas nunca faltan.
12 Your ancient ruins wil be rebuilt; you will build on age -- old foundations. You wil be cal ed 'Breach-mender', 'Restorer of streets to be lived in'.	12 Reedificarán, de ti, tus ruinas antiguas, levantarás los cimientos de pasadas generaciones, se te llamará Reparador de brechas, y Restaurador de senderos frecuentados.
13 If you refrain from breaking the Sabbath, from taking your own pleasure on my holy day, if you cal the Sabbath 'Delightful', and the day sacred to Yahweh 'Honourable', if you honour it by abstaining from travel, fromseeking your own pleasure and from too much talk,	13 Si apartas del sábado tu pie, de hacer tu negocio en el día santo, y llamas al sábado «Delicia», al día santo de Yahveh «Honorable», y lo honras evitando tus viajes, no buscando tu interés ni tratando asuntos,
14 then you wil find true happiness in Yahweh, and I shal lead you in triumph over the heights of theland. I shall feed you on the heritage of your father Jacob, for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken.	14 entonces te deleitarás en Yahveh, y yo te haré cabalgar sobre los altozanos de la tierra. Te alimentaré con la heredad de Jacob tu padre; porque la boca de Yahveh ha hablado.
