Isaiah 46

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Bel is crouching, Nebo cowering, their idols are being put on animals, on beasts of burden, the loadsyou have been carrying are a burden to a weary beast.	1 Bel è in pezzi, Nabo è ridotto in polvere, i loro simulacri sono stati messi addosso a bestie, a giumenti, e i vostri fardelli li affaticano col grave peso.
2 They are cowering and crouching together, no one can save this burden, they themselves have goneinto captivity.	2 Son caduti, tutti insieme sono andati in pezzi: non han potuto salvare chi li portava, ed essi stessi andranno in schiavitù.
3 Listen to me, House of Jacob, al who remain of the House of Israel, whom I have carried since thewomb, whom I have supported since you were conceived.	3 Datemi ascolto, o casa di Giacobbe, e voi tutti, o resti della casa d'Israele, che siete portati dal mio seno e tenuti dalle mie viscere.
4 Until your old age I shal be the same, until your hair is grey I shall carry you. As I have done, so I shalsupport you, I myself shall carry and shall save you.	4 Fino alla vecchiaia io sarò lo stesso, e vi porterò fino ai capelli bianchi. Io vi feci, e io vi porterò, io vi sosterrò, vi salverò.
5 With whom can you compare me, equate me, to whom can you liken me, making equals of us?	5 A chi mi avete assomigliato, a chi fatto uguale, a chi m'avete paragonato, a chi fatto simile?
6 They lavish gold from their purses and weigh out silver on the scales. They engage a goldsmith tomake a god, then bow low and actually adore!	6 Voi, che cavate l'oro dalla borsa e sulla stadera pesate l'argento, pagate un orefice perchè faccia un dio a cui la gente si prostra in adorazione.
7 They lift it on their shoulders and carry it, and put it down where it is meant to stand, so that it nevermoves from the spot. You may cry out to it in distress, it never replies, it never saves anyone in trouble.	7 Lo portano sulle spalle, lo sostengono, lo pongono al suo posto, e vi starà senza muoversi; ma quando alzeranno le grida verso di lui, non sentirà, nè li potrà salvare dalla tribolazione.
8 Remember this and stand firm; rebels, look into your hearts.	8 Pensate a questo e vergognatevi, o prevaricatori, tornate in voi.
9 Remember the things that happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and thereis none like me.	9 Ricordate il passato: si, sono io Dio, e non ve n'è altri, non vi può essere uno simile a me,
10 From the beginning I revealed the future, in advance, what has not yet occurred. I say: My purposewil come about, I shal do whatever I please;	10 che annunzio fin da principio le ultime cose, e molto tempo avanti le cose non ancora fatte, e dico? « I miei disegni trionferanno, ogni mio volere sarà adempiuto ».
11 I cal a bird of prey from the east, my man predestined, from a distant land. What I have said, I shaldo, what I have planned, I shal perform.	11 Io chiamo dall'oriente l'uccello, da lontana terra l'uomo dei miei voleri: l'ho detto e lo farò, l'hò deciso e lo ridurrò ad effetto.
12 Listen to me, you hard-hearted people far removed from saving justice:	12 Ascoltatemi, o duri di cuore che siete lontani dalla giustizia:
13 I am bringing my justice nearer, it is not far away, my salvation wil not delay. I shal place mysalvation in Zion and my glory in Israel.	13 ho fatto avvicinare la mia giustizia: non sarà lontana, e non tarderà la mia salvezza: porrò la mia salvezza in Sion, e la mia gloria in Israele.
