Isaiah 46

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 Bel is crouching, Nebo cowering, their idols are being put on animals, on beasts of burden, the loadsyou have been carrying are a burden to a weary beast.	1 επεσε βηλ συνετριβη δαγων εγενετο τα γλυπτα αυτων εις θηρια και κτηνη αιρετε αυτα καταδεδεμενα ως φορτιον κοπιωντι
2 They are cowering and crouching together, no one can save this burden, they themselves have goneinto captivity.	2 και πεινωντι και εκλελυμενω ουκ ισχυοντι αμα οι ου δυνησονται σωθηναι απο πολεμου αυτοι δε αιχμαλωτοι ηχθησαν
3 Listen to me, House of Jacob, al who remain of the House of Israel, whom I have carried since thewomb, whom I have supported since you were conceived.	3 ακουσατε μου οικος του ιακωβ και παν το καταλοιπον του ισραηλ οι αιρομενοι εκ κοιλιας και παιδευομενοι εκ παιδιου
4 Until your old age I shal be the same, until your hair is grey I shall carry you. As I have done, so I shalsupport you, I myself shall carry and shall save you.	4 εως γηρους εγω ειμι και εως αν καταγηρασητε εγω ειμι εγω ανεχομαι υμων εγω εποιησα και εγω ανησω εγω αναλημψομαι και σωσω υμας
5 With whom can you compare me, equate me, to whom can you liken me, making equals of us?	5 τινι με ωμοιωσατε ιδετε τεχνασασθε οι πλανωμενοι
6 They lavish gold from their purses and weigh out silver on the scales. They engage a goldsmith tomake a god, then bow low and actually adore!	6 οι συμβαλλομενοι χρυσιον εκ μαρσιππιου και αργυριον εν ζυγω στησουσιν εν σταθμω και μισθωσαμενοι χρυσοχοον εποιησαν χειροποιητα και κυψαντες προσκυνουσιν αυτοις
7 They lift it on their shoulders and carry it, and put it down where it is meant to stand, so that it nevermoves from the spot. You may cry out to it in distress, it never replies, it never saves anyone in trouble.	7 αιρουσιν αυτο επι των ωμων και πορευονται εαν δε θωσιν αυτο επι του τοπου αυτου μενει ου μη κινηθη και ος αν βοηση προς αυτον ου μη εισακουση απο κακων ου μη σωση αυτον
8 Remember this and stand firm; rebels, look into your hearts.	8 μνησθητε ταυτα και στεναξατε μετανοησατε οι πεπλανημενοι επιστρεψατε τη καρδια
9 Remember the things that happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and thereis none like me.	9 και μνησθητε τα προτερα απο του αιωνος οτι εγω ειμι ο θεος και ουκ εστιν ετι πλην εμου
10 From the beginning I revealed the future, in advance, what has not yet occurred. I say: My purposewil come about, I shal do whatever I please;	10 αναγγελλων προτερον τα εσχατα πριν αυτα γενεσθαι και αμα συνετελεσθη και ειπα πασα μου η βουλη στησεται και παντα οσα βεβουλευμαι ποιησω
11 I cal a bird of prey from the east, my man predestined, from a distant land. What I have said, I shaldo, what I have planned, I shal perform.	11 καλων απ' ανατολων πετεινον και απο γης πορρωθεν περι ων βεβουλευμαι ελαλησα και ηγαγον εκτισα και εποιησα ηγαγον αυτον και ευοδωσα την οδον αυτου
12 Listen to me, you hard-hearted people far removed from saving justice:	12 ακουσατε μου οι απολωλεκοτες την καρδιαν οι μακραν απο της δικαιοσυνης
13 I am bringing my justice nearer, it is not far away, my salvation wil not delay. I shal place mysalvation in Zion and my glory in Israel.	13 ηγγισα την δικαιοσυνην μου και την σωτηριαν την παρ' εμου ου βραδυνω δεδωκα εν σιων σωτηριαν τω ισραηλ εις δοξασμα
