Isaiah 46

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Bel is crouching, Nebo cowering, their idols are being put on animals, on beasts of burden, the loadsyou have been carrying are a burden to a weary beast.	1 ¡Bel se doblega, Nebo se desploma! Sus estatuas han sido puestas sobre bestias y animales de carga; los ídolos que ustedes llevaban en andas son una carga para el animal agotado.
2 They are cowering and crouching together, no one can save this burden, they themselves have goneinto captivity.	2 ¡Se desploman, se doblegan todos juntos, no pueden librar al que los lleva y ellos mismos van a la cautividad!
3 Listen to me, House of Jacob, al who remain of the House of Israel, whom I have carried since thewomb, whom I have supported since you were conceived.	3 ¡Escúchenme, casa de Jacob y todo el resto de la casa de Israel, ustedes, que fueron llevados desde el seno materno, cargados por mí desde antes de nacer!
4 Until your old age I shal be the same, until your hair is grey I shall carry you. As I have done, so I shalsupport you, I myself shall carry and shall save you.	4 Hasta que envejezcan, yo seré siempre el mismo, y hasta que encanezcan, yo los sostendré. Yo he obrado, y me haré cargo de eso: los sostendré y los libraré.
5 With whom can you compare me, equate me, to whom can you liken me, making equals of us?	5 ¿A quién me van a asemejar o igualar? ¿Con quién me van a comparar, que sea semejante a mí?
6 They lavish gold from their purses and weigh out silver on the scales. They engage a goldsmith tomake a god, then bow low and actually adore!	6 Los que malgastan el oro de sus bolsas y pesan la plata en una balanza, contratan a un orfebre para que haga un dios, lo adoran y se postran ante él;
7 They lift it on their shoulders and carry it, and put it down where it is meant to stand, so that it nevermoves from the spot. 8 Remember this and stand firm; rebels, look into your hearts.	8 ¡Recuerden esto, y compréndanlo bien; piénsenlo en su corazón, rebeldes!
9 Remember the things that happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and thereis none like me.	9 Recuerden lo que sucedió antiguamente; porque yo soy Dios, y no hay otro, soy Dios, y no hay nadie igual a mí.
10 From the beginning I revealed the future, in advance, what has not yet occurred. I say: My purposewil come about, I shal do whatever I please;	10 Yo anuncio el final desde el comienzo, y desde mucho antes, lo que aún no ha sucedido; yo digo: «Mi designio se cumplirá y haré todo lo que me agrade».
11 I cal a bird of prey from the east, my man predestined, from a distant land. What I have said, I shaldo, what I have planned, I shal perform.	11 Llamo del Oriente al ave de rapiña, y de un país lejano, al hombre de mi designio. Así hablé, y así haré que suceda. tracé un plan, y lo voy a ejecutar.
12 Listen to me, you hard-hearted people far removed from saving justice:	12 Escúchenme, duros de corazón, ustedes, los que están lejos de la justicia:
13 I am bringing my justice nearer, it is not far away, my salvation wil not delay. I shal place mysalvation in Zion and my glory in Israel.	13 yo hago que se acerque mi justicia –¡ella no está lejos! – y mi salvación no tardará. Pondré la salvación en Sión y mi esplendor será para Israel.
