Isaiah 46

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Bel is crouching, Nebo cowering, their idols are being put on animals, on beasts of burden, the loadsyou have been carrying are a burden to a weary beast.	1 Bel è prostrato, Nebo si è rovesciato; i loro idoli sono dati agli animali e ai giumenti; i loro carichi sono trasportati come peso spossante.
2 They are cowering and crouching together, no one can save this burden, they themselves have goneinto captivity.	2 Sono rovesciati, sono prostrati insieme, non possono salvare quelli che li portano, andando essi stessi in schiavitù.
3 Listen to me, House of Jacob, al who remain of the House of Israel, whom I have carried since thewomb, whom I have supported since you were conceived.	3 Ascoltatemi, casa di Giacobbe, e tutto il resto della casa d'Israele, voi, portati da me sin dalla nascita, di cui mi sono incaricato sin dal seno materno:
4 Until your old age I shal be the same, until your hair is grey I shall carry you. As I have done, so I shalsupport you, I myself shall carry and shall save you.	4 "Fino alla vecchiaia io sarò lo stesso, fino alla canizie io vi porterò. Io l'ho fatto, io me ne caricherò ancora, io vi porterò e vi salverò.
5 With whom can you compare me, equate me, to whom can you liken me, making equals of us?	5 A chi mi potete paragonare e assimilare, con chi mi potete confrontare, quasi fossimo simili?
6 They lavish gold from their purses and weigh out silver on the scales. They engage a goldsmith tomake a god, then bow low and actually adore!	6 Traggono l'oro dalla borsa e pesano l'argento con la bilancia, pagano l'orafo, perché fabbrichi un dio, poi lo venerano e lo adorano.
7 They lift it on their shoulders and carry it, and put it down where it is meant to stand, so that it nevermoves from the spot. You may cry out to it in distress, it never replies, it never saves anyone in trouble.	7 Se lo caricano sulle spalle e lo portano, poi lo depongono sulla base e rimane diritto. Dal posto suo non si muove; lo si invoca, ma non risponde, non libera nessuno dalla tribolazione".
8 Remember this and stand firm; rebels, look into your hearts.	8 "Ricordate ciò e siate confusi, o prevaricatori, considerate nel vostro cuore!
9 Remember the things that happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and thereis none like me.	9 Ricordate le cose passate da lungo tempo, poiché io sono Dio e non vi è altri; sono Dio e niente è come me!
10 From the beginning I revealed the future, in advance, what has not yet occurred. I say: My purposewil come about, I shal do whatever I please;	10 Dall'inizio ho annunciato l'avvenire, dall'antico ciò che non è ancora compiuto. Dico: il mio progetto permane, farò tutto ciò che mi piace.
11 I cal a bird of prey from the east, my man predestined, from a distant land. What I have said, I shaldo, what I have planned, I shal perform.	11 Chiamo dall'oriente l'uccello rapace, da terra lontana l'uomo del mio progetto. Come ho parlato, così lo compirò; ho formato il progetto, lo attuerò.
12 Listen to me, you hard-hearted people far removed from saving justice:	12 Ascoltatemi, ostinati di cuore, voi che siete lontani dalla giustizia!
13 I am bringing my justice nearer, it is not far away, my salvation wil not delay. I shal place mysalvation in Zion and my glory in Israel.	13 Faccio avvicinare la mia giustizia; non è lontana, la mia salvezza non tarderà. Porrò in Sion la salvezza, a Israele darò la mia gloria".
