Isaiah 39

1 At that time, the king of Babylon, Merodach-Baladan son of Baladan, sent letters and a gift to Hezekiah,for he had heard of his illness and his recovery.	1 In quel tempo Merodach Baladan, figlio di Baladan re di Babilonia, mandò ambasciatori con lettere, e doni ad Ezechia, avendo saputo com'egli era stato ammalato, ed era guarito.
2 Hezekiah was delighted at this and showed the ambassadors his entire treasury, the silver, gold,spices, precious oil, his armoury too, and everything to be seen in his storehouses. There was nothing in hispalace or in his whole domain that Hezekiah did not show them.	2 Ed Ezechia si rallegro di queste cose, e fece loro vedere le stanze degli aromi, e dell'argento, e dell'oro, e de' profumi, e degli unguenti preziosi, e tutte le guardarobe de' suoi mobili, e tutto quello, ch'ei si trovava ne' suoi tesori. Non lasciò a parte, cosa Ezechia, ch'ei lor non mostrasse.
3 The prophet Isaiah then came to King Hezekiah and asked him, 'What have these men said, and wherehave they come to you from?' Hezekiah answered, 'They have come from a distant country, from Babylon.'	3 Ma andò Isaia profeta dal re Ezechia, e gli disse: Che dicono questi uomini, e donde vengono? Ed Ezechia rispose: Vengono a me da lontano paese, da Babilonia.
4 Isaiah said, 'What have they seen in your palace?' 'They have seen everything in my palace,' Hezekiahanswered. 'There is nothing in my storehouses that I have not shown them.'	4 E quegli disse: Che hann'eglino veduto in casa tua? Ed Ezechia disse: Hanno veduto tutto quello, che è in casa mia; non v'ha cosa ne' miei tesori, ch'io non abbia loro mostrata.
5 Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, 'Listen to the word of Yahweh Sabaoth,	5 Ed Isaia disse ad Ezechia: Ascolta la parola del Signor degli eserciti.
6 "The days are coming when everything in your palace, everything that your ancestors have amasseduntil now, wil be carried off to Babylon. Not a thing wil be left," Yahweh says.	6 Ecco, che tempo verrà, quando le cose tutte, che sono in casa tua, accumulate da' padri tuoi fino al dì a oggi, saran portate via a Babilonia: non ci resterà nulla, dice il Signore.
7 "Sons sprung from you, sons begotten by you, will be abducted to be eunuchs in the palace of the kingof Babylon." '	7 E prenderanno de' tuoi figliuoli nati, e generati da te, ed eglino saranno eunuchi nel palazzo del re di Babilonia.
8 Hezekiah said to Isaiah, 'This word of Yahweh that you announce is reassuring,' for he was thinking,'There is going to be peace and security during my lifetime.'	8 E disse Ezechia ad Isaia: Giusta è la parola proferita dal Signore: e aggiunse: Solamente sia pace, e si adempiano le promesse ne' giorni miei.
