Isaiah 30

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Woe to the rebel ious children -- declares Yahweh -- who make plans which do not come from me andmake al iances not inspired by me, and so add sin to sin!	1 Guai a voi, o figli disertori, — dice il Signore — che formate dei disegni, ma senza di me, e ordite una tela che non è secondo il mio spirito, e accumulate peccato a peccato;
2 They are leaving for Egypt, without consulting me, to take refuge in Pharaoh's protection, to shelter inEgypt's shadow.	2 che v'incamminate per discendere in Egitto, senza aver interrogata la mia bocca, sperando aiuto nella potenza di Faraone, confidando nell'ombra dell'Egitto.
3 Pharaoh's protection will be your shame, the shelter of Egypt's shadow your confounding.	3 Ma la potenza di Faraone vi sarà di vergogna, e la fiducia nell'ombra dell'Egitto vi sarà d'ignominia.
4 For his princes have gone to Zoan and his messengers have reached Hanes.	4 I tuoi principi son già stati a Tanis, i tuoi ambasciatori son giunti fino ad Hanes.
5 Everyone has been disappointed by a people who cannot help, who bring neither aid nor profit, onlydisappointment and confusion.	5 Tutti sono confusi a causa d'un popolo che loro non serve a niente, che non è d'aiuto, non apporta utilità alcuna, ma solamente confusione e onta.
6 Proclamation about the beasts of the Negeb: Into the land of distress and of anguish, of lioness androaring lion, of viper and flying dragon, they bear their riches on donkeys' backs, their treasures on camels'humps, to a nation that cannot help:	6 Oracolo a carico delle bestie della terra australe: in terra di tribolazione e d'affanno, di leonesse, di leoni, di vipere, di serpenti volanti, se ne van portando le loro ricchezze sopra i giumenti, i loro tesori sopra la gobba dei cammelli, ad un popolo che loro non potrà essere utile a niente.
7 Egypt, whose help is vain and futile; and so I cal her 'Rahab -the-collapsed'.	7 Infatti l'Egitto invano e senza risultato darà aiuto; ecco perchè sopra questo ho detto al tamente: « Non c'è altro che superbia: non ti muovere ».
8 Now go, inscribe this on a tablet, write it on a scrol , so that it may serve for time to come for ever andfor ever.	8 Or dunque va e scriviglielo sopra una tavoletta di bossolo, registralo con esattezza in un libro, che sia per i giorni avvenire a eterna testimonianza;
9 This is a rebellious people, they are lying children, children who will not listen to Yahweh's Law.	9 perché questo è un popolo che provoca a sdegno, questi son figli menzogneri, figli che non vogliono ascoltare la legge di Dio.
10 To the seers they say, 'See nothing!' To the prophets, 'Do not prophesy the truth to us; tel us flatteringthings; have illusory visions;	10 Essi dicono ai profeti: « Non profetate » e ai veggenti: « Non state a vedere por noi la verità: parlateci di cose che ci piacciono, profetateci cose false, lungi da noi questo modo di fare,
11 turn aside from the way, leave the path, rid us of the Holy One of Israel.'	11 lungi da noi questo sistema, non ci si getti piu in faccia il Santo d'Israele ».
12 So the Holy One of Israel says this, 'Since you have rejected this word and put your trust in fraud anddisloyalty and rely on these,	12 Per questo ecco quanto dice il Santo d'Israele: « Siccome voi avete disprezzata questa parola, avete sperato nella calunnia e nel tumulto, e vi fondaste su queste cose,
13 for you this guilt will prove to be a breach opening up, a bulge at the top of a wal which suddenly andal at once comes crashing down.	13 questa iniquità sarà per voi come breccia rovinosa impercettibile, in alto muro, che all'improvviso, quando nessuno ci pensa, fa venire il crollo,
14 He wil shatter it like an earthenware pot, ruthlessly knocking it to pieces, so that of the fragments notone shard can be found with which to take up fire from the hearth or scoop water from the storage-wel .'	14 e va in frantumi, come a un forte colpo va in bricioli un vaso d'argilla, senza che si possa trovare dei suoi rottami un coccio per prendere un carboncino dal focolare o per attingere un po' d'acqua da una fossa ».
15 For Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, says this, 'Your salvation lay in conversion and tranquil ity,your strength in serenity and trust and you would have none of it.	15 Ecco dunque quanto dice il Signore Dio, il Santo d'Israele: Se tornerete indietro e vi darete pace, sarete salvi: nel silenzio, nella speranza sarà la vostra for­za. Ma voi non avete voluto dar retta,
16 "No," you said, "we shall flee on horses." And so flee you wil ! And again, "We shal ride on swift ones." And so your pursuers will be swift!	16 e avete detto: « Non sarà cosi: noi fuggiremo verso i cavalli ». « Sì: fuggirete ». « E voleremo su corsieri ». « Ma saran più veloci quelli che vi correranno dietro »;
17 A thousand wil quake at the threat of one and when five threaten you will flee, until what is left of youwil be like a flagstaff on a mountain top, like a signal on a hil .'	17 mille alla minaccia d'un solo, alla minaccia di cinque fuggirete, finché non siate lasciati come albero di nave sopra un monte, come stendardo sopra una collina.
18 But Yahweh is waiting to be gracious to you, the Exalted One, to take pity on you, for Yahweh is aGod of fair judgement; blessed are al who hope in him.	18 Pertanto il Signore vi aspetta per usarvi misericordia; egli sarà esaltato nel perdonarvi, perchè il Signore è un Dio di giustizia. Beati tutti quelli che sperano in lui!
19 Yes, people of Zion living in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He wil be gracious to you when yourcry for help rings out; as soon as he hears it, he will answer you.	19 Siccome il popolo di Sion dovrà abitare in Gerusalemme, tu che piangi non piangerai più, il misericordioso avrà pietà di te; appena sentirà il tuo grido ti risponderà.
20 When the Lord has given you the bread of suffering and the water of distress, he who is your teacherwil hide no longer, and you wil see your teacher with your own eyes.	20 E il Signore vi darà pane ristretto e poc'acqua; ma non farà più allontanare da te il tuo dottore, i tuoi occhi vedranno il tuo maestro;
21 Your ears wil hear these words behind you, 'This is the way, keep to it,' whether you turn to right orleft.	21 e le tue orecchie sentiranno di dietro la parola d'avviso: « Questa è la via: seguitela, e non piegate nè a destra nè a sinistra ».
22 You wil hold unclean the silverplating of your idols and the goldplating of your images. You wil throwthem away like the pol uted things they are, shouting after them, 'Good riddance!'	22 E profanerai le lamine dei tuoi idoli d'argento, e il rivestimento dei tuoi idoli d'oro e li getterai via come immondo panno di donna, dicendo loro: « Fuori! »
23 He wil send rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the bread that the ground provides wil berich and nourishing. That day, your cattle will graze in wide pastures.	23 E sarà data la pioggia ai tuoi seminati, dovunque tu semini sulla terra, e il pane donato dalla terra sarà abbondante e sostanzioso; e allora nei tuoi possessi gli agnelli avran vasti pascoli, ■
24 Oxen and donkeys that work the land will eat for fodder wild sorrel, spread by the shovel-load andfork-load.	24 e i tuoi buoi e gli asinelli che lavorano la terra mangeranno biada mescolata, come è stata ripulita nell'aia.
25 On every lofty mountain, on every high hil there wil be streams and water-courses, on the day of thegreat slaughter when the strongholds fal .	25 E sopra ogni alta montagna, e sopra ogni collina elevata vi saranno rivi d'acqua corrente nel giorno della grande uccisione, quando cadranno le torri.
26 Then moonlight will be bright as sunlight and sunlight itself be seven times brighter -- like the light ofseven days in one -- on the day Yahweh dresses his people's wound and heals the scars of the blows they havereceived.	26 E la luce della luna sarà come quella del sole, e la luce del sole sarà sette volte più grande, come la luce di sette giorni, quando il Signore fascerà la ferita del suo popolo, e sanerà la piaga delle sue percosse.
27 See, the name of Yahweh comes from afar, blazing his anger, heavy his threat. His lips are brimmingover with fury, his tongue is like a devouring fire.	27 Ecco che il nome del Signore vien da lontano, il suo furore divampa, è duro a tollerarsi, le sue labbra son piene di sdegno, e la sua lingua è come un fuoco divoratore.
28 His breath is like a river in spate coming up to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve ofdestruction, to harness the peoples in a bridle, that wil lead them astray.	28 Il suo soffio è come torrente che inonda e arriva fino a metà del collo, per annientare le nazioni e il freno dell'errore che stava nelle mascelle dei popoli.
29 Your song wil be like that on a festal night, and there wil be joy in your hearts as when to the soundof the flute people make a pilgrimage to the mountain of Yahweh, the Rock of Israel.	29 Voi intonerete un cantico, come la notte di festeggiata solennità, e avrete la gioia nel cuore, come chi va a suon di flauto a presentarsi sulla montagna del Signore, al forte d'Israele.
30 Yahweh will make his majestic voice ring out, he wil show the weight of his arm in the heat of hisanger, with a devouring fire, with thunderbolt, downpour and hailstones.	30 E il Signore farà sentire la maestà della sua voce, e farà conoscere il terribile suo braccio con minaccioso furore, e con fiamma di fuoco divoratore; atterrerà col turbine e colle pietre della grandine.
31 Yes, at Yahweh's voice Assyria wil be terrified, he wil strike him with his rod;	31 Alla voce del Signore sarà spaventato Assur, percosso dalla verga;
32 each time he goes by, wil fal the punishing rod that Yahweh wil lay on him, to the sound oftambourines and harps, in the battles which he wil wage against him with uplifted hand.	32 e il passaggio della verga sarà costante, e il Signore la farà abbassare sopra di lui tra i timpani e le cetre, e lo vincerà in grandi battaglie.
33 Yes, Topheth has been ready for a long time now, that too is ready for the king, deep and wide hispyre, fire and wood in plenty. Yahweh's breath, like a stream of brimstone, wil set fire to it.	33 Già Tofet è stata preparata, da un pezzo dal re è stata preparata profonda e larga: è nutrita dal fuoco e da gran quantità di legna; il soffio del Signore, qual torrente di zolfo, ne alza le fiamme.
