Isaiah 25

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Yahweh, you are my God, I shall praise you to the heights, I shal praise your name; for you haveaccomplished marvels, plans long-conceived, faithful y, firmly.	1 Señor, tú eres mi Dios, yo te exalto, doy gracias a tu Nombre. Porque tú has realizado designios admirables, firmemente establecidos desde tiempos antiguos.
2 For you have made the town a heap of stones, the fortified city a ruin. The foreigners' citadel is a cityno longer, it wil never be rebuilt.	2 Has hecho de la ciudad un montón de escombros, de la ciudad fortificada, una ruina. La ciudad enemiga ya no es una ciudad, nunca más será reconstruida.
3 Hence mighty peoples wil honour you, the city of pitiless nations hold you in awe;	3 Por eso te glorifica un pueblo fuerte, la ciudad de los tiranos siente temor de ti.
4 For you have been a refuge for the weak, a refuge for the needy in distress, a shelter from the storm,shade from the heat; for the breath of the pitiless is like a winter storm.	4 Porque has sido un refugio para el débil un refugio para el pobre en su angustia, un resguardo contra la tormenta, una sombra contra el calor. Porque el soplo de los tiranos es como tormenta de invierno,
5 Like heat in a dry land you calm the foreigners' tumult; as heat under the shadow of a cloud, so thesong of the pitiless dies away.	5 como el calor en el suelo reseco. Tú acallas el tumulto del enemigo: como el calor por la sombra de una nube así se extingue el canto de los tiranos.
6 On this mountain, for al peoples, Yahweh Sabaoth is preparing a banquet of rich food, a banquet offine wines, of succulent food, of well-strained wines.	6 El Señor de los ejércitos ofrecerá a todos los pueblos sobre esta montaña un banquete de manjares suculentos, un banquete de vinos añejados, de manjares suculentos, medulosos, de vinos añejados, decantados.
7 On this mountain, he has destroyed the veil which used to veil al peoples, the pal enveloping alnations;	7 El arrancará sobre esta montaña el velo que cubre a todos los pueblos, el paño tendido sobre todas las naciones.
8 he has destroyed death for ever. Lord Yahweh has wiped away the tears from every cheek; he hastaken his people's shame away everywhere on earth, for Yahweh has spoken.	8 Destruirá la Muerte para siempre; el Señor enjugará las lágrimas de todos los rostros, y borrará sobre toda la tierra el oprobio de su pueblo, porque lo ha dicho él, el Señor.
9 And on that day, it wil be said, 'Look, this is our God, in him we put our hope that he should save us,this is Yahweh, we put our hope in him. Let us exult and rejoice since he has saved us.'	9 Y se dirá en aquel día: «Ahí está nuestro Dios, de quien esperábamos la salvación: es el Señor, en quien nosotros esperábamos; ¡alegrémonos y regocijémonos de su salvación!».
10 For Yahweh's hand will rest on this mountain, and Moab wil be trodden under his feet as straw istrodden into the dung-heap.	10 Porque la mano del Señor se posará sobre esta montaña, pero Moab será pisoteado en su suelo, como se pisotea la paja en el estercolero.
11 He may stretch his hands wide on the mountain like a swimmer stretching out his hands to swim. Buthe wil humble his pride despite what his hands may attempt.	11 En medio de esto, extenderá sus manos, como las extiende el nadador para nadar; pero el Señor aplastará su orgullo, a pesar del esfuerzo de sus manos.
12 And the impregnable fortress of your walls, he has overthrown, laid low, flung to the ground, in thedust.	12 Los baluartes inaccesibles de tus murallas, los derribó, los abatió, los echó por tierra hasta el polvo.
