1 Disaster! Land of the whirring locust beyond the rivers of Cush,	1 Guai alla terra, cimbalo alato, che è oltre i fiumi dell'Etiopia,

Andate, nunzj veloci alla nazione scossa, e lacerata, a quel popolo, formidabile più d'ogn'altro, alla nazione, che aspetta, ed è conculcata, di cui la terra è portata via da' fiumi.
3 Al you who inhabit the world, you who people the earth, when the signal is hoisted on the mountains,you wil see, when the ram's-horn is sounded, you wil hear.	3 Abitatori tutti della terra, che avete stanza sulla terra; alzato che sia lo stendardo sui monti, lo vedrete, e udirete il rauco suon della tromba:
4 For this is what Yahweh has told me, 'I shall sit here quietly looking down, like the burning heat in thedaytime, like a dewy mist in the heat of harvest.'	4 Ma il Signore dice a me: Io starò in riposo, e considererò dalla mia sede, come è chiara la luce di mezzogiorno, e come una nube di rugiada al tempo della ricolta.

7 Then, an offering will be brought to Yahweh Sabaoth on behalf of a people tal and bronzed, on behalfof a people feared far and near, on behalf of a mighty and masterful nation whose country is criss-crossed withrivers: to the place where the name of Yahweh Sabaoth resides, Mount Zion.	7 In quel tempo dal popolo dissipato, e, lacerato, dal popolo formidabile più d'ogni altro, dalla nazione, che aspetta, ed è conculcata (di cui la terra è de vastata da' fiumi) saran portati dei doni al Signore degli eserciti nel luogo, che ha nome dal Signor degli eserciti, nel monte di Sion.
