1 Making your neighbour a loan is an act of mercy, to lend him a helping hand is to keep thecommandments.	1 Chi è misericordioso, da in prestito al suo prossimo, e chi è generoso di mano, osserva i comandamenti.
2 Lend to your neighbour in his time of need, and in your turn repay your neighbour on time.	2 Da ad imprestito al tuo prossimo nel tempo, del suo bisogno, e tu vicendevolmente restituisci al prossimo al tempo determinato.
3 Be as good as your word and keep faith with him, and you wil find your needs met every time.	3 Mantien'la parola, e portati fedelmente con lui, e troverai in ogni tempo quello, che ti abbisogna.
4 Many treat a loan as a windfal , and embarrass those who have come to their rescue.	4 Molti il denaro imprestato tennero per denaro trovato, e diedero delle molestie a chi li avea ajutati.
5 Until he gets something, a man wil kiss his neighbour's hand, and refer diffidently to his wealth; butwhen the loan fal s due, he puts this off, he repays with offhand words, and pleads the inconvenience of the time.	5 Fino che abbian ricevuto, bacian le mani al datore, e fanno delle promesse con umili parole.
6 Even if he can be made to pay, his creditor wil recover barely half, and consider even that a windfal .But otherwise he wil be cheated of his money, and undeservedly gain himself an enemy; the man wil pay himback in curses and abuse, and with insults instead of honour.	6 Ma quando è tempo di restituire, chieggon tempo, e dicon cose nojose, o mormorano, e danno la colpa al tempo.
7 Many, not out of malice, refuse to lend; they are merely anxious not to be cheated for nothing.	7 E se è in istato di pagare, fa delle difficoltà, o renderà la metà del debito, e il creditore dovrà far conto, che è tanto di trovato,
8 Nevertheless, be patient with those who are badly off, do not keep them waiting on your generosity.	8 Altrimenti quegli lo priva del suo, e se lo tiene per suo nemico senza ragione.
9 In obedience to the commandment, help the poor; do not turn the poor away empty-handed in theirneed.	9 E lo paga di ingiurie, e di male parole, e per un onore, e un benefizi gli rende strapazzo.
10 Spend your money on your brother or your friend, do not leave it under a stone to rust away.	10 Sono molti, che non danno in prestito non per cattivo cuore, ma temono di essere ingiustamente gabbati.
11 Use your wealth as the Most High has decreed; you will find that more profitable than gold.	11 Contuttociò sii tu d'animo generoso verso il meschino, e non fare a lui allungare il collo in aspettando la carità.
12 Stock your store-rooms with almsgiving; this will save you from al misfortune.	12 A riflesso del comandamento assisti il povero, e noi rimandar colle mani vuote nel suo bisogno.
13 Better than sturdy shield or weighty spear, this will fight for you against the enemy.	13 Perdi il denaro per amor del fratello, e dell'amico, e noi seppellire sotto una pietra a perdersi.
14 A good man wil go surety for his neighbour; only a shameless wretch would desert him.	14 Impiega il tuo tesoro nell'adempiere i precetti dell'Altissimo, e ciò ti frutterà più, che l'oro.
15 Do not forget the favour your guarantor has done you; he has given his life for you.	15 Chiudi la limosina nel seno del povero, e questa pregherà per te contro) ogni sorta di mali.
16 A sinner is careless of his guarantor's prosperity, the ungrateful forgets his deliverer.	16 Ella combatterà contro il tuo nemico assai meglio, che lo scudo, e la lancia di un campione.
17 Going surety has ruined many who were prosperous, tossing them about in a heavy sea.	17 . .
18 It has driven the powerful from home to wander among foreign nations.	18 . .
19 A wicked man in a hurry to stand guarantor in the hope of profit, is hurrying to be sentenced.	19 L'uomo dabbene entra mallevadore al suo prossimo, ma colui, che ha perduto il rossore, abbandona il prossimo a se stesso.
20 Come to your neighbour's help as far as you can, but take care not to fall into the same plight.	20 Non ti scordare del benefizio fatto a te dal tuo mallevadore; perocché egli ha esposta per te la sua vita.
21 The first thing in life is water, and bread, and clothing, and a house for the sake of privacy.	21 Il peccatore, e l'immondo fugge il suo mallevadore.
22 Better the life of the poor under a roof of planks, than lavish fare in somebody else's house.	22 Il peccatore fa conto, che sian suoi propri i beni del suo mallevadore, e ingrato di cuore abbandona chi lo ha liberato.
23 Whether you have little or much, be content with it, and you wil not hear your household complaining.	23 Un uomo' promette pel suo prossimo, e questi perduto ogni pudore lo abbandona.
24 It is a miserable life, going from house to house; wherever you stay, you dare not open your mouth,	24 Le mallevadorie spropositate hanno rovinati molti, che si regolavano bene, e li hanno messi sossopra como una tempesta di mare.
25 you do not belong, you receive no thanks for the drink you pour out and hear embittering words intothe bargain:	25 Questa ha sconvolti uomini facoltosi, e li ha fatti fuggire, e andar vagabondi tra genti straniere.
26 'Come along, stranger, lay the table, what have you got ready? give me something to eat!'	26 Il peccatore, che trasgredisce i comandamenti del Signore si impegnerà in mallevadorie rovinose, e chi vuoi far molte cose si imbroglia in liti.
27 'Go away, stranger, make room for someone important; my brother is coming to stay, I need thehouse.'	27 Solleva il prossimo secondo il tuo potere, e veglia sopra te stesso affine di non precipitarti.
28 It is hard for the reasonable to be begrudged hospitality to be shamed like a debtor.	28 La somma della vita umana è l'acqua, e il pane, e il vestito, e la casa per tener coperto ciò, che non dee farsi vedere.
	29 Val più il vitto del povero sotto un coperto di tavole, che li splendidi banchetti in casa straniera, dove uno non ha domicilio.
	30 Contentati del poco come del molto, e non avrai a sentire i rìmprocci, che si fanno a' forestieri.
	31 Ell' è una cattiva vita quella di andar in ospizio da una casa all'altra, e dove uno è ospite non agirà con libertà, e non aprirà bocca.
	32 Uno alberga, e da da mangiare, e da bere a gente ingrata, e oltre a ciò, udirà delle male parole.
	33 Su via, o ospite, ammanisci la tavola, e con quello, che hai teco, da da mangiare agli altri.
	34 Cedi il luogo ai miei amici onorati, ho bisogno della mia casa: ricevo ospite un mio fratello.
	35 Queste cose sono pesanti ad un uomo sensato: i rimproveri del padron di casa, e gli improperj di chi gli ha fatto imprestito.
