NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 On my bed at night I sought the man who is my sweetheart: I sought but could not find him!	1 في الليل على فراشي طلبت من تحبه نفسي طلبته فما وجدته.
2 So I shal get up and go through the city; in the streets and in the squares, I shall seek my sweetheart. Isought but could not find him!	2 اني اقوم واطوف في المدينة في الاسواق وفي الشوارع اطلب من تحبه نفسي. طلبته فما وجدته.
3 I came upon the watchmen -- those who go on their rounds in the city: 'Have you seen my sweetheart?'	3 وجدني الحرس الطائف في المدينة فقلت أرأيتم من تحبه نفسي.
4 Barely had I passed them when I found my sweetheart. I caught him, would not let him go, not til I hadbrought him to my mother's house, to the room where she conceived me!	4 فما جاوزتهم الا قليلا حتى وجدت من تحبه نفسي فامسكته ولم ارخه حتى ادخلته بيت امي وحجرة من حبلت بي.
5 LOVER: I charge you, daughters of Jerusalem, by gazel es and wild does, do not rouse, do not wake mybeloved before she pleases.	5 احلفكن يا بنات اورشليم بالظباء وبأيائل الحقل ألا تيقظن ولا تنبهن الحبيب حتى يشاء
6 POET: What is this coming up from the desert like a column of smoke, breathing of myrrh andfrankincense and every exotic perfume?	6 من هذه الطالعة من البرية كاعمدة من دخان معطرة بالمر واللبان وبكل اذرّة التاجر
7 Here comes Solomon's litter. Around it are sixty champions, the flower of the warriors of Israel;	7 هوذا تخت سليمان حوله ستون جبارا من جبابرة اسرائيل.
8 al of them skil ed swordsmen, expert in war. Each man has his sword at his side, against alarms bynight.	8 كلهم قابضون سيوفا ومتعلمون الحرب. كل رجل سيفه على فخذه من هول الليل
9 King Solomon has had a palanquin made of wood from Lebanon.	9 الملك سليمان عمل لنفسه تختا من خشب لبنان.
10 He has had the posts made of silver, the canopy of gold, the seat of purple; the centre is inlaid withebony.	10 عمل اعمدته فضة وروافده ذهبا ومقعده ارجوانا ووسطه مرصوفا محبة من بنات اورشليم
11 Daughters of Zion, come and see King Solomon, wearing the diadem with which his mother crownedhim on his wedding day, on the day of his heart's joy.	11 اخرجن يا بنات صهيون وانظرن الملك سليمان بالتاج الذي توجته به امه في يوم عرسه وفي يوم فرح قلبه
