1 [Prayer Of Moses, man of God] Lord, you have been our refuge from age to age.1 ܡܪܝܐ ܒܝܬ ܡܥܡܪܐ ܗܘܝܬ ܠܢ ܠܕܪܕܪܝܢ
2 Before the mountains were born, before the earth and the world came to birth, from eternity to eternityyou are God.2 ܥܕܠܐ ܢܬܒܛܢܘܢ ܛܘܪ̈ܐ ܘܥܕ ܠܐ ܬܚܒܠ ܐܪܥܐ ܘܥܕ ܠܐ ܬܬܩܢ ܬܒܝܠ ܡܢ ܥܠܡ ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܥܠܡ ܐܢܬ ܗܘ ܐܠܗܐ
3 You bring human beings to the dust, by saying, 'Return, children of Adam.'3 ܕܐܗܦܟܬܝܗܝ ܠܒܪܢܫܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܡܘܟܟܐ ܘܐܡܪܬ ܕܬܘܒܘ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܢܫܐ
4 A thousand years are to you like a yesterday which has passed, like a watch of the night.4 ܡܛܠ ܕܐܠܦ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ ܒܥܝܢ̈ܝܟ ܐܝܟ ܝܘܡܐ ܕܐܬܡܠܝ ܕܥܒܪ ܘܐܝܟ ܡܛܪܬܐ ܕܠܠܝܐ
5 You flood them with sleep -- in the morning they wil be like growing grass:5 ܫܪ̈ܒܬܗܘܢ ܫܢܬܐ ܢܗ̈ܘܝܢ ܘܒܨܦܪܐ ܐܝܟ ܥܘܦܝܐ ܬܚܠܦ
6 in the morning it is blossoming and growing, by evening it is withered and dry.6 ܕܒܨܦܪܐ ܝܥܐ ܘܡܚܠܦ ܘܒܪܡܫܐ ܚܡܐ ܘܝܒܫ
7 For we have been destroyed by your wrath, dismayed by your anger.7 ܡܛܠ ܕܓܡܪܢ ܒܪܘܓܙܟ ܘܒܚܡܬܟ ܐܬܕܠܚܢ
8 You have taken note of our guilty deeds, our secrets in the ful light of your presence.8 ܣܡܬ ܚ̈ܛܗܝܢ ܠܩܘܒܠܟ ܥܠܡܝܢܝ ܒܢܘܗܪܐ ܕܐ̈ܦܝܟ
9 Al our days pass under your wrath, our lives are over like a sigh.9 ܡܛܠ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܝܘܡ̈ܝܢ ܓܡܪܘ ܒܪܘܓܙܟ ܘܓܡܪ ܫܢܝ̈ܢ ܐܝܟ ܓܘܓܝ
10 The span of our life is seventy years -- eighty for those who are strong -- but their whole extent isanxiety and trouble, they are over in a moment and we are gone.10 ܝܘܡ̈ܝܢ ܫܢܝ̈ܢ ܒܗܘܢ ܫܒܥܝܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܢ ܘܠܡܚܣܢ ܬܡܢܐܝܢ ܫܢܝ̈ܢ ܣܘܓܗܝܢ ܥܡܠܐ ܘܟܐ̈ܒܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܐܬܐ ܥܠܝܢ ܡܘܟܟܐ ܘܐܬܛܪܦܢ
11 Who feels the power of your anger, or who that fears you, your wrath?11 ܡܢ ܝܕܥ ܥܘܫܢܐ ܕܪܘܓܙܟ ܘܕܚܠܬܐ ܕܪܘܓܙܟ
12 Teach us to count up the days that are ours, and we shal come to the heart of wisdom.12 ܐܘܕܥܝܢܝ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܝܘ̈ܡܝܢ ܕܢܥܘܠ ܠܠܒܐ ܕܚܟܡܬܐ
13 Come back, Yahweh! How long must we wait? Take pity on your servants.13 ܐܬܦܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܐܡܬܝ ܠܐ ܡܒܝܐܐ ܐܢܬ ܠܥܒ̈ܕܝܟ
14 Each morning fill us with your faithful love, we shal sing and be happy all our days;14 ܣܒܥܝܢܝ ܒܨܦܪܐ ܛܝܒܘܬܟ ܢܫܒܚ ܘܢܚܕܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܢ
15 let our joy be as long as the time that you afflicted us, the years when we experienced disaster.15 ܚܕܢ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܝܬ ܥܘܠܢ ܘܫ̈ܢܝܐ ܕܚܙܝܢ ܒܗܝܢ ܒܝܫ̈ܬܐ
16 Show your servants the deeds you do, let their children enjoy your splendour!16 ܢܬܚܙܘܢ ܠܥܒ̈ܕܝܟ ܥܒ̈ܕܝܟ ܘܗܕܪܟ ܥܠ ܒܢܝ̈ܗܘܢ
17 May the sweetness of the Lord be upon us, to confirm the work we have done!17 ܬܗܘܐ ܒܣܝܡܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܢ ܥܠܝܢ ܕܥܒܕ ܐ̈ܝܕܘܗܝ ܐܬܩܢ ܥܠܝܢ ܘܒܥܒܕ ܐ̈ܝܕܘܗܝ ܬܩܢܢ
