Psalms 90

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 [Prayer Of Moses, man of God] Lord, you have been our refuge from age to age.	1 Prière. De Moïse, homme de Dieu. Seigneur, tu as été pour nous un refuge d'âge en âge.
2 Before the mountains were born, before the earth and the world came to birth, from eternity to eternityyou are God.	2 Avant que les montagnes fussent nées, enfantés la terre et le monde, de toujours à toujours tu esDieu.
3 You bring human beings to the dust, by saying, 'Return, children of Adam.'	3 Tu fais revenir le mortel à la poussière en disant: "Revenez, fils d'Adam! "
4 A thousand years are to you like a yesterday which has passed, like a watch of the night.	4 Car mille ans sont à tes yeux comme le jour d'hier qui passe, comme une veille dans la nuit.
5 You flood them with sleep -- in the morning they wil be like growing grass:	5 Tu les submerges de sommeil, ils seront le matin comme l'herbe qui pousse;
6 in the morning it is blossoming and growing, by evening it is withered and dry.	6 le matin, elle fleurit et pousse, le soir, elle se flétrit et sèche.
7 For we have been destroyed by your wrath, dismayed by your anger.	7 Par ta colère, nous sommes consumés, par ta fureur, épouvantés.
8 You have taken note of our guilty deeds, our secrets in the ful light of your presence.	8 Tu as mis nos torts devant toi, nos secrets sous l'éclat de ta face.
9 Al our days pass under your wrath, our lives are over like a sigh.	9 Sous ton courroux tous nos jours déclinent, nous consommons nos années comme un soupir.
10 The span of our life is seventy years -- eighty for those who are strong -- but their whole extent isanxiety and trouble, they are over in a moment and we are gone.	10 Le temps de nos années, quelque 70 ans,
11 Who feels the power of your anger, or who that fears you, your wrath?	11 Qui sait la force de ta colère et, te craignant, connaît ton courroux?
12 Teach us to count up the days that are ours, and we shal come to the heart of wisdom.	12 Fais-nous savoir comment compter nos jours, que nous venions de coeur à la sagesse!
13 Come back, Yahweh! How long must we wait? Take pity on your servants.	13 Reviens, Yahvé! Jusques à quand? Prends en pitié tes serviteurs.
14 Each morning fill us with your faithful love, we shal sing and be happy all our days;	14 Rassasie-nous de ton amour au matin, nous serons dans la joie et le chant tous les jours.
15 let our joy be as long as the time that you afflicted us, the years when we experienced disaster.	15 Rends-nous en joies tes jours de châtiment et les années où nous connûmes le malheur.
16 Show your servants the deeds you do, let their children enjoy your splendour!	16 Paraisse ton oeuvre pour tes serviteurs, ta splendeur soit sur leurs enfants!
17 May the sweetness of the Lord be upon us, to confirm the work we have done!	17 La douceur du Seigneur soit sur nous! Confirme l'ouvrage de nos mains!
