1 [Prayer Of Moses, man of God] Lord, you have been our refuge from age to age.	1 Preghiera. Di Mosè, uomo di Dio.Signore, tu sei stato per noi un rifugiodi generazione in generazione.
2 Before the mountains were born, before the earth and the world came to birth, from eternity to eternityyou are God.	2 Prima che nascessero i montie la terra e il mondo fossero generati,da sempre e per sempre tu sei, o Dio.
3 You bring human beings to the dust, by saying, 'Return, children of Adam.'	3 Tu fai ritornare l’uomo in polvere,quando dici: «Ritornate, figli dell’uomo».
4 A thousand years are to you like a yesterday which has passed, like a watch of the night.	4 Mille anni, ai tuoi occhi,sono come il giorno di ieri che è passato,come un turno di veglia nella notte.
5 You flood them with sleep -- in the morning they wil be like growing grass:	5 Tu li sommergi:sono come un sogno al mattino,come l’erba che germoglia;
6 in the morning it is blossoming and growing, by evening it is withered and dry.	6 al mattino fiorisce e germoglia,alla sera è falciata e secca.
7 For we have been destroyed by your wrath, dismayed by your anger.	7 Sì, siamo distrutti dalla tua ira,atterriti dal tuo furore!
8 You have taken note of our guilty deeds, our secrets in the ful light of your presence.	8 Davanti a te poni le nostre colpe,i nostri segreti alla luce del tuo volto.
9 Al our days pass under your wrath, our lives are over like a sigh.	9 Tutti i nostri giorni svaniscono per la tua collera,consumiamo i nostri anni come un soffio.
10 The span of our life is seventy years -- eighty for those who are strong -- but their whole extent isanxiety and trouble, they are over in a moment and we are gone.	10 Gli anni della nostra vita sono settanta,ottanta per i più robusti,e il loro agitarsi è fatica e delusione;passano presto e noi voliamo via.
11 Who feels the power of your anger, or who that fears you, your wrath?	11 Chi conosce l’impeto della tua irae, nel timore di te, la tua collera?
12 Teach us to count up the days that are ours, and we shal come to the heart of wisdom.	12 Insegnaci a contare i nostri giornie acquisteremo un cuore saggio.
13 Come back, Yahweh! How long must we wait? Take pity on your servants.	13 Ritorna, Signore: fino a quando?Abbi pietà dei tuoi servi!
14 Each morning fill us with your faithful love, we shal sing and be happy all our days;	14 Saziaci al mattino con il tuo amore:esulteremo e gioiremo per tutti i nostri giorni.
15 let our joy be as long as the time that you afflicted us, the years when we experienced disaster.	15 Rendici la gioia per i giorni in cui ci hai afflitti,per gli anni in cui abbiamo visto il male.
16 Show your servants the deeds you do, let their children enjoy your splendour!	16 Si manifesti ai tuoi servi la tua operae il tuo splendore ai loro figli.
17 May the sweetness of the Lord be upon us, to confirm the work we have done!	17 Sia su di noi la dolcezza del Signore, nostro Dio:rendi salda per noi l’opera delle nostre mani,l’opera delle nostre mani rendi salda.
