1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Now you wil see what I am going to do to Pharaoh. A mighty hand wilforce him to let them go, a mighty hand will force him to expel them from his country.'	1 E il Signore disse a Mosè: « Ora vedrai quello che io farò a Faraone, e che, forzato da mano forte, li lascerà andare, anzi li caccerà dal suo paese, forzato da mano potente ».
2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, 'I am Yahweh.	2 Poi il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse: « Io sono il Signore
3 To Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I appeared as El Shaddai, but I did not make my name Yahweh known tothem.	3 che apparii ad Abramo, ad Isacco e a Giacobbe come il Dio Onnipotente, ma non feci conoscere ad essi il mio nome Adonai.
4 I also made my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the country in which they wereliving as aliens.	4 Fermai però con essi il patto di dar loro la terra di Canaan, il paese in cui furono pellegrini e forestieri.
5 Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, enslaved by the Egyptians, and haveremembered my covenant.	5 Or avendo sentito il gemito dei figli d'Israele che gli Egizi hanno oppressi, mi son ricordato del mio patto.
6 So say to the Israelites, "I am Yahweh. I shall free you from the forced labour of the Egyptians; I shalrescue you from their slavery and I shal redeem you with outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgement.	6 Di' dunque ai figli d'Israele: Io sono il Signore che vi trarrò dal carcere degli Egiziani, vi libererò dalla schiavitù, e vi riscatterò con braccio disteso e grandi giudizi.
7 I shall take you as my people and I shal be your God. And you wil know that I am Yahweh your God,who have freed you from the forced labour of the Egyptians.	7 Vi prenderò per mio popolo, e sarò vostro Dio, e voi conoscerete ch'io sono il Signore Dio vostro, quando, avendovi tratti di sotto al giogo degli Egiziani,
8 Then I shal lead you into the country which I swore I would give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, andshall give it to you as your heritage, I, Yahweh." '	8 vi introdurrò nella terra che, alzando la mia mano, giurai di dare ad Abramo, a Isacco e a Giacobbe: io ve ne darò il possesso: io sono il Signore ».
9 And Moses repeated this to the Israelites, but they would not listen to Moses, so crushed was their spiritand so cruel their slavery.	9 E Mosè riferì ogni cosa ai figli d'Israele; ma essi non gli dettero ascolto a motivo dell'angoscia dello spirito e delle durissime fatiche.
10 Yahweh then said to Moses,	10 Allora il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:
11 'Go to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and tel him to let the Israelites leave his country.'	11 « Va a dire a Faraone re d'Egitto che lasci partire dalla sua terra i figli d'Israele ».
12 But Moses spoke out in Yahweh's presence and said, 'The Israelites have not listened to me, so whyshould Pharaoh take any notice of a poor speaker like me?'	12 E Mosè rispose al Signore: « Ecco, non mi stanno a sentire nemmeno i figli d'Israele; e come potrà ascoltarmi Faraone, incirconciso come sono di labbra? »
13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and sent them to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites outof Egypt.	13 E il Signore parlò a Mosè e ad Aronne, e comandò loro di andare dai figli d'Israele e da Faraone re d'Egitto, per trarre dall'Egitto i figli d'Israele.
14 These were their heads of families: The sons of Reuben, Israel's first-born: Hanoch, Pal u, Hezron andCarmi: these are the clans of Reuben.	14 Questi sono i capi di casa secondo le loro famiglie. Figli di Ruben, primogenito d'Israele: Enoc, Fallu, Hesron, Carmi:
15 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite woman:these are the clans of Simeon.	15 queste le famiglie di Ruben. Figli di Simeone: Iamuel, Iamin, Ahod, lachin, Soar e Saul, figlio di una cananea: questa la progenie di Simeone.
16 These were the names of the sons of Levi with their descendants: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levilived for a hundred and thirty-seven years.	16 E questi sono i nomi dei figli di Levi, secondo le loro famiglie: Gerson, Caat e Merari. Gli anni della vita di Levi furono centotrentasette.
17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, with their clans.	17 I figli di Gerson: Lobni e Semei, secondo le loro famiglie.
18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. Kohath lived for a hundred and thirty-threeyears.	18 I figli di Caat: Amram, Isaar, Hebron e Oziel. E gli anni di Caat giunsero a centotrentatrè.
19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of Levi with their descendants.	19 I figli di Merari: Molioli e Musi. Questi i posteri di Levi secondo le loro famiglie.
20 Amram married Jochebed, his aunt, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived for a hundred andthirty-seven years.	20 Amram prese in moglie Iocabed, figlia del suo zio paterno, la quale gli partorì Aronne e Mosè. E gli anni della vita di Amram furono centotrentasette.
21 The sons of Izhar were: Korah, Nepheg and Zichri.	21 I figli di Isacar: Core, Nefeg e Zecri.
22 And the sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan and Sithri.	22 I figli di Oziel: Misael, Elisafan e Setri.
23 Aaron married Elisheba daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab,Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.	23 E Aronne prese per moglie Elisabetta figlia di Aminadab, sorella di Naasson, la quale gli partorì Nadab, Abiu, Eleazar e Itamar.
24 The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These are the clans of the Korahites.	24 I figli di Core: Aser, Elcana, Abiaaaf. Queste le famiglie dei Coriti.
25 Eleazar, son of Aaron, married one of Putiel's daughters who bore him Phinehas. These were theLevitical heads of families, according to clan.	25 Eleazar, figlio di Aronne, prese per moglie una delle figlie di Futiel, la quale gli partorì Finees. Questi sono i capi delle famiglie leviti che secondo le loro parentele.
26 It was to this Aaron and Moses that Yahweh said, 'Lead the Israelites out of Egypt in their armies.'	26 Questi sono quell'Aronne e quell Mosè ai quali il Signore ordinò di trarre i figli d'Israele dalla terra d'Egitto secondo le loro schiere.
27 It was they who spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites out of Egypt -- namely Mosesand Aaron.	27 Son questi che parlarono a Faraone re d'Egitto, per trarre dall'Egitto i figli d'Israele, questi: Mosè ed Aronne.
28 Now the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in Egypt,	28 Or quando il Signore parlò a Mosè nella terra d'Egitto,
29 Yahweh said to Moses, 'Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything that I am going to say to you.'	29 gli disse: « Io sono il Signore. Riferisci a Faraone re d'Egitto tutto quello che ti dico ».
30 But Moses said to Yahweh's face, 'I am a poor speaker, so why should Pharaoh take any notice ofme?'	30 E Mosè disse al Signore: « Ecco io sono incirconciso di labbra, e come potrà ascoltarmi Faraone? »
