1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Now you wil see what I am going to do to Pharaoh. A mighty hand wilforce him to let them go, a mighty hand will force him to expel them from his country.'	1 Azt mondta erre az Úr Mózesnek: »Most majd meglátod, mit teszek a fáraóval, mert egy erős kéz kényszerítésére el fogja őket engedni, sőt, egy hatalmas kéz kényszere alatt el fogja őket kergetni a földjéről!«
2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, 'I am Yahweh.	2 Aztán így szólt az Úr Mózeshez: »Én, az Úr
3 To Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I appeared as El Shaddai, but I did not make my name Yahweh known tothem.	3 jelentem meg Ábrahámnak, Izsáknak és Jákobnak, mint Mindenható Isten – mert azt a nevemet: ‘Úr’, nem közöltem velük –,
4 I also made my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the country in which they wereliving as aliens.	4 és szövetséget kötöttem velük, hogy nekik adom Kánaán földjét, vándorlásuk földjét, amelyen jövevények voltak.
5 Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, enslaved by the Egyptians, and haveremembered my covenant.	5 Aztán meghallottam Izrael fiainak sóhajtozását, hogy elnyomják őket az egyiptomiak, és megemlékeztem szövetségemről.
6 So say to the Israelites, "I am Yahweh. I shall free you from the forced labour of the Egyptians; I shalrescue you from their slavery and I shal redeem you with outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgement.	6 Mondd tehát Izrael fiainak: Én, az Úr vagyok az, aki kiviszlek titeket az egyiptomi kényszermunka házából, és kiszabadítalak titeket a szolgaságból. 7 I shall take you as my people and I shal be your God. And you wil know that I am Yahweh your God,who have freed you from the forced labour of the Egyptians.	7 és népemmé fogadlak titeket. 8 Then I shal lead you into the country which I swore I would give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, andshall give it to you as your heritage, I, Yahweh." 9 And Moses repeated this to the Israelites, but they would not listen to Moses, so crushed was their spiritand so cruel their slavery.	9 Mózes elmondta mindezt Izrael fiainak, de azok nem hallgattak rá kishitűségük, kíméletlenül kemény munkájuk miatt.
10 Yahweh then said to Moses,	10 Aztán így szólt az Úr Mózeshez:
11 'Go to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and tel him to let the Israelites leave his country.'	11 »Menj be és mondd meg a fáraónak, Egyiptom királyának, hogy engedje el földjéről Izrael fiait!«
12 But Moses spoke out in Yahweh's presence and said, 'The Israelites have not listened to me, so whyshould Pharaoh take any notice of a poor speaker like me?'	12 Mózes azt felelte az Úr előtt: »Izrael fiai sem hallgatnak rám, hogy hallgatna tehát rám a fáraó, amikor én ráadásul körülmetéletlen ajkú is vagyok!«
13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and sent them to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites outof Egypt.	13 Az Úr tehát szólt Mózeshez és Áronhoz, s megparancsolta Izrael fiainak és a fáraónak, Egyiptom királyának, hogy vezessék ki Izrael fiait Egyiptom földjéről.
14 These were their heads of families: The sons of Reuben, Israel's first-born: Hanoch, Pal u, Hezron andCarmi: these are the clans of Reuben.	14 A következők a családok fejei, nemzetségük szerint: Rúbennek, Izrael elsőszülöttjének fiai: Hénok, Fállu, Ezron és Kármi. Ezek Rúben nemzetségei.
15 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite woman:these are the clans of Simeon.	15 Simeon fiai: Jámuel, Jámin, Áhod, Jákin, Szoár és Saul a kánaáni asszony fia. Ezek Simeon nemzetségei.
16 These were the names of the sons of Levi with their descendants: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levilived for a hundred and thirty-seven years.	16 Lévi fiainak, származásuk szerint, a következő a nevük: Gerson, Kaát és Merári. Lévi százharminchét esztendeig élt.
17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, with their clans.	17 Gerson fiai: Libni és Szemei, nemzetségeik szerint.
18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. Kohath lived for a hundred and thirty-threeyears.	18 Kaát fiai: Armám, Jiszhár, Hebron és Oziel. Kaát százharminchárom esztendeig élt.
19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of Levi with their descendants.	19 Merári fiai: Moholi és Músi. Ezek Lévi nemzetségei, származásuk szerint.
20 Amram married Jochebed, his aunt, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived for a hundred andthirty-seven years.	20 Armám Jokebedet, apai nagybátyjának lányát vette feleségül, aki Áront és Mózest szülte neki. Armám százharminchét esztendeig élt.
21 The sons of Izhar were: Korah, Nepheg and Zichri.	21 Jichár fiai: Kóré, Nefeg és Zekri.
22 And the sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan and Sithri.	22 Oziel fiai: Misaél, Eliszafán és Szetri.
23 Aaron married Elisheba daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab,Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.	23 Áron Erzsébetet, Aminádáb lányát, Nahson nővérét vette feleségül, aki Nádábot, Ábiut, Eleazárt meg Itamárt szülte neki.
24 The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These are the clans of the Korahites.	24 Kóré fiai: Asszír, Elkána és Abiászáf. Ezek a kóriták nemzetségei.
25 Eleazar, son of Aaron, married one of Putiel's daughters who bore him Phinehas. These were theLevitical heads of families, according to clan.	25 Eleazár, Áron fia, Futiel lányai közül vett magának feleséget, aki Fineeszt szülte neki. Ezek a leviták családjának fejei, nemzetségük szerint.
26 It was to this Aaron and Moses that Yahweh said, 'Lead the Israelites out of Egypt in their armies.'	26 Ez az az Áron és Mózes, akiknek azt parancsolta az Úr, hogy vezessék ki Izrael fiait Egyiptom földjéről, seregeik szerint.
27 It was they who spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites out of Egypt -- namely Mosesand Aaron.	27 Ők azok, akik szóltak a fáraónak, Egyiptom királyának, hogy kivezethessék Izrael fiait Egyiptomból. Ez az a Mózes és Áron,

29 Yahweh said to Moses, 'Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything that I am going to say to you.'	29 És szólt az Úr Mózeshez: »Én, az Úr parancsolom: Mondd el a fáraónak, Egyiptom királyának mindazt, amit mondok neked!«
30 But Moses said to Yahweh's face, 'I am a poor speaker, so why should Pharaoh take any notice ofme?'	30 Azt mondta erre Mózes az Úr előtt: »Íme, én körülmetéletlen ajkú vagyok, hogyan hallgatna rám a fáraó?«
