1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Now you wil see what I am going to do to Pharaoh. A mighty hand wilforce him to let them go, a mighty hand will force him to expel them from his country.'	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè: "Ora vedrai che cosa farò al faraone, poiché grazie a una mano forte li lascerà andare, grazie a una mano forte li caccerà dalla sua terra".
2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, 'I am Yahweh.	2 Dio disse a Mosè: "Io sono il Signore:
3 To Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I appeared as El Shaddai, but I did not make my name Yahweh known tothem.	3 sono apparso ad Abramo, a Isacco e a Giacobbe come Dio onnipotente, ma il mio nome di Signore (Jhwh) non l'ho fatto loro conoscere.
4 I also made my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the country in which they wereliving as aliens.	4 Ho anche stabilito la mia alleanza con loro, per dare ad essi la terra di Canaan, la terra delle loro migrazioni, dove emigrarono.
5 Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, enslaved by the Egyptians, and haveremembered my covenant.	5 Anch'io ho udito il lamento dei figli d'Israele che gli Egiziani hanno resi schiavi e mi sono ricordato della mia alleanza.
6 So say to the Israelites, "I am Yahweh. I shall free you from the forced labour of the Egyptians; I shalrescue you from their slavery and I shal redeem you with outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgement.	6 Perciò di' ai figli d'Israele: "Io sono il Signore, vi farò uscire dalle fatiche dell'Egitto, vi libererò dalla loro servitù e vi riscatterò con braccio teso e con grandi castighi.
7 I shall take you as my people and I shal be your God. And you wil know that I am Yahweh your God,who have freed you from the forced labour of the Egyptians.	7 Vi prenderò per me come popolo e sarò per voi Dio, e saprete che io sono il Signore, vostro Dio, che vi ha fatto uscire dalle fatiche d'Egitto.
8 Then I shal lead you into the country which I swore I would give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, andshall give it to you as your heritage, I, Yahweh." '	8 E vi condurrò alla terra per la quale ho alzato la mia mano giurando di darla ad Abramo, Isacco e Giacobbe, e ve la darò in eredità: io, il Signore".
9 And Moses repeated this to the Israelites, but they would not listen to Moses, so crushed was their spiritand so cruel their slavery.	9 Così Mosè parlò ai figli d'Israele, ma essi non lo ascoltarono, perché ridotti all'estremo per il duro lavoro.
10 Yahweh then said to Moses,	10 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
11 'Go to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and tel him to let the Israelites leave his country.'	11 "Va' a dire al faraone, re d'Egitto, che mandi via i figli d'Israele dal suo paese".
12 But Moses spoke out in Yahweh's presence and said, 'The Israelites have not listened to me, so whyshould Pharaoh take any notice of a poor speaker like me?'	12 Mosè disse davanti al Signore: "Ecco, i figli d'Israele non mi hanno ascoltato: come mi ascolterà il faraone, io che sono impacciato a parlare?".
13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and sent them to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites outof Egypt.	13 Il Signore parlò a Mosè ed Aronne, e li mandò dai figli d'Israele e dal faraone, re d'Egitto, perché facesse uscire i figli d'Israele dalla terra d'Egitto.
14 These were their heads of families: The sons of Reuben, Israel's first-born: Hanoch, Pal u, Hezron andCarmi: these are the clans of Reuben.	14 Questi sono i capi dei loro casati. Figli di Ruben, primogenito d'Israele: Enoch, Pallu, Chezron e Carmi; queste sono le famiglie di Ruben.
15 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite woman:these are the clans of Simeon.	15 Figli di Simeone: Iemuel, Iamin, Oad, Iachin, Socar e Saul, figlio della Cananea; queste sono le famiglie di Simeone.
16 These were the names of the sons of Levi with their descendants: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levilived for a hundred and thirty-seven years.	16 Questi sono i nomi dei figli di Levi, secondo le loro generazioni: Gherson, Keat e Merari. Gli anni della vita di Levi: centotrentasette.
17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, with their clans.	17 Figli di Gherson: Libni e Simei, secondo le loro famiglie.
18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. Kohath lived for a hundred and thirty-threeyears.	18 Figli di Keat: Amram, Isear, Ebron e Uzziel. Gli anni della vita di Keat: centotrentatré.
19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of Levi with their descendants.	19 Figli di Merari: Macli e Musi. Queste sono le famiglie di Levi, secondo le loro generazioni.
20 Amram married Jochebed, his aunt, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived for a hundred andthirty-seven years.	20 Amram si prese in moglie Iochebed, sua zia, che gli partorì Aronne e Mosè. Gli anni della vita di Amram: centotrentasette.
21 The sons of Izhar were: Korah, Nepheg and Zichri.	21 Figli di Isear: Core, Nefeg e Zicri.
22 And the sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan and Sithri.	22 Figli di Uzziel: Misael, Elsafan e Sitri.
23 Aaron married Elisheba daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab,Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.	23 Aronne si prese in moglie Elisabetta, figlia di Amminadab, sorella di Nacason, e gli partorì Nadab, Abiu, Eleazaro e Itamar.
24 The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These are the clans of the Korahites.	24 Figli di Core: Assir, Elana e Abiasaf. Queste sono le famiglie dei Coreiti.
25 Eleazar, son of Aaron, married one of Putiel's daughters who bore him Phinehas. These were theLevitical heads of families, according to clan.	25 Eleazaro, figlio di Aronne, si prese in moglie una delle figlie di Putiel, e gli partorì Finees. Questi sono i capi dei casati dei Leviti, secondo le loro famiglie.
26 It was to this Aaron and Moses that Yahweh said, 'Lead the Israelites out of Egypt in their armies.'	26 Proprio ad Aronne e a Mosè il Signore disse di far uscire i figli d'Israele dalla terra d'Egitto, secondo le loro schiere.
27 It was they who spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites out of Egypt -- namely Mosesand Aaron.	27 Furono essi a parlare al faraone, re d'Egitto, per far uscire i figli d'Israele dall'Egitto: sono Mosè ed Aronne.
28 Now the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in Egypt,	28 Il giorno in cui il Signore parlò a Mosè in terra d'Egitto,
29 Yahweh said to Moses, 'Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything that I am going to say to you.'	29 il Signore disse a Mosè: "Io sono il Signore: di' al faraone, re d'Egitto, tutto quello che io ti dico".
30 But Moses said to Yahweh's face, 'I am a poor speaker, so why should Pharaoh take any notice ofme?'	30 Mosè disse davanti al Signore: "Ecco, io sono di parola impacciata, e come mi potrebbe ascoltare il faraone?".
