1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Now you wil see what I am going to do to Pharaoh. A mighty hand wilforce him to let them go, a mighty hand will force him to expel them from his country.'	1 - Il Signore rispose a Mosè: «Ora vedrai che cosa sono per fare al Faraone; costretto da mano forte, li lascerà andare; costretto da mano potente, li spingerà addirittura egli medesimo fuori della sua terra».
2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, 'I am Yahweh.	2 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse: «lo sono il Signore
3 To Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I appeared as El Shaddai, but I did not make my name Yahweh known tothem.	3 che apparve ad Abramo, Isacco e Giacobbe qual Dio onnipotente, ma non manifestai loro il mio nome Adonài.
4 I also made my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the country in which they wereliving as aliens.	4 E feci con essi il patto di dar loro la terra di Canaan, terra della loro peregrinazione, nella quale stettero come forestieri».
5 Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, enslaved by the Egyptians, and haveremembered my covenant.	5 Io ho udito il gemito de' figli d'Israele oppressi dagli Egiziani, e mi son ricordato della mia promessa.
6 So say to the Israelites, "I am Yahweh. I shall free you from the forced labour of the Egyptians; I shalrescue you from their slavery and I shal redeem you with outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgement.	6 Perciò, dirai ai figli d'Israele: - Io sono il Signore, che vi caverò dalla carcere degli Egiziani, vi sottrarrò alla schiavitù, e vi libererò con braccio forte e castighi grandi.
7 I shall take you as my people and I shal be your God. And you wil know that I am Yahweh your God,who have freed you from the forced labour of the Egyptians.	7 Io vi prenderò per mio popolo, e sarò il vostro Dio; e voi conoscerete ch'io sono il Signore Dio vostro, quando v'avrò cavati dalla carcere degli Egiziani,
8 Then I shal lead you into the country which I swore I would give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, andshall give it to you as your heritage, I, Yahweh." '	8 e v'avrò condotti nella terra ch'io giurai di dare ad Abramo, Isacco e Giacobbe; io ve la darò in vostra possessione. Io il Signore -».
9 And Moses repeated this to the Israelites, but they would not listen to Moses, so crushed was their spiritand so cruel their slavery.	9 Mosè dunque ripetè tutto questo ai figli d'Israele, i quali però non si lasciaron persuadere, a causa dell'angoscia del loro animo, e dei lavori faticosissimi.
10 Yahweh then said to Moses,	10 Allora il Signore parlò a Mosè dicendogli:
11 'Go to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and tel him to let the Israelites leave his country.'	11 «Presentati al Faraone re dell'Egitto, e digli che lasci partire dalla sua terra i figli d'Israele».
12 But Moses spoke out in Yahweh's presence and said, 'The Israelites have not listened to me, so whyshould Pharaoh take any notice of a poor speaker like me?'	12 Rispose Mosè al Signore: «Tu vedi che nemmeno i figli d'Israele m'ascoltano. Come mi ascolterà il Faraone, specialmente essendo io difettoso nel parlare?».
13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and sent them to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites outof Egypt.	13 Ma Il Signore parlò a Mosè ed Aronne, e per mezzo loro comandò ai figli d' Israele, ed al Faraone re dell'Egitto, che i figli d' Israele uscissero dalla terra d'Egitto.
14 These were their heads of families: The sons of Reuben, Israel's first-born: Hanoch, Pal u, Hezron andCarmi: these are the clans of Reuben.	14 Questi sono i capi delle famiglie, con le loro discendenze. Figli di Ruben primogenito d'Israele: Henoc, Fallu, Hesron e Carmi;
15 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite woman:these are the clans of Simeon.	15 questa la discendenza di Ruben. Figli di Simeone: Iamuel, Iamin, Aod, Iachin, Soar, e Saul figlio di una Canaanitide; questa la figliolanza di Simeone.
16 These were the names of the sons of Levi with their descendants: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levilived for a hundred and thirty-seven years.	16 I nomi dei figli di Levi, secondo le famiglie loro discendenti, sono: Gerson, Caat e Merari. Gli anni poi della vita di Levi furono centotrentasette.
17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, with their clans.	17 Figli di Gerson, secondo la loro discendenza: Lobni e Semei.
18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. Kohath lived for a hundred and thirty-threeyears.	18 Figli di Caat: Amram, Isaar, Hebron ed Oziel. Visse Caat centotrentatrè anni.
19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of Levi with their descendants.	19 Figli di Merari: Mooli e Musi; son questi i discendenti di Levi, per famiglie.
20 Amram married Jochebed, his aunt, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived for a hundred andthirty-seven years.	20 Amram prese in moglie Iocabed sua cugina, la quale gli partorì Aronne e Mosè; e visse Amram centotrentasette anni.
21 The sons of Izhar were: Korah, Nepheg and Zichri.	21 Figli poi di Isaar: Core, Nefeg e Zeeri.
22 And the sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan and Sithri.	22 Figli di Oziel: Misael, Elisafan e Setri.
23 Aaron married Elisheba daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab,Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.	23 Aronne prese in moglie Elisabet, figlia di Aminadab e sorella di Naason, la quale gli partorì Nadab, Abiu, Eleazar e Itamar.
24 The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These are the clans of the Korahites.	24 Figli di Core: Aser, Elcana ed Abiasaf; son queste le famiglie dei discendenti di Core.
25 Eleazar, son of Aaron, married one of Putiel's daughters who bore him Phinehas. These were theLevitical heads of families, according to clan.	25 Eleazar poi, figlio d'Aronne, prese in moglie una delle figlie di Futiel, che gli partorì Finees. Son questi i capi delle famiglie levitiche, secondo la loro discendenza.
26 It was to this Aaron and Moses that Yahweh said, 'Lead the Israelites out of Egypt in their armies.'	26 Questi sono quell'Aronne e quel Mosè, ai quali comandò il Signore di condur via dalla terra d'Egitto i figli d'Israele, a schiere.
27 It was they who spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites out of Egypt -- namely Mosesand Aaron.	27 Son essi che parlarono al Faraone re dell' Egitto, per condur via dall' Egitto i figli d' Israele. Son questi, Mosè ed Aronne.
28 Now the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in Egypt,	28 Quando il Signore parlò a Mosè in Egitto,
29 Yahweh said to Moses, 'Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything that I am going to say to you.'	29 disse il Signore a Mosè: «Io sono il Signore. Riferisci al Faraone re d'Egitto tutto quel che ti ho detto».
30 But Moses said to Yahweh's face, 'I am a poor speaker, so why should Pharaoh take any notice ofme?'	30 Rispose Mosè al Signore: «Io sono inabile a parlare; come mi darà retta il Faraone?».
