Exodus 6

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Now you wil see what I am going to do to Pharaoh. A mighty hand wilforce him to let them go, a mighty hand will force him to expel them from his country.'	1 O Senhor respondeu: "Verás o que vou fazer ao faraó: forçado por uma mão poderosa, ele os deixará partir; forçado por uma mão poderosa, ele os expulsará de sua terra".
2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, 'I am Yahweh.	2 Deus disse a Moisés: "Eu sou o Senhor.
3 To Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I appeared as El Shaddai, but I did not make my name Yahweh known tothem.	3 Apareci a Abraão, a Isaac e a Jacó como o Deus todo-poderoso, mas não me dei a conhecer a eles pelo meu nome de Javé.
4 I also made my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the country in which they wereliving as aliens.	4 Eu me comprometi com eles a lhes dar a terra de Canaã, a terra onde levaram uma vida errante e habitaram como estrangeiros.
5 Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, enslaved by the Egyptians, and haveremembered my covenant.	5 Ouvi o clamor dos israelitas oprimidos pêlos egípcios, e lembrei-me de minha aliança.
6 So say to the Israelites, "I am Yahweh. I shall free you from the forced labour of the Egyptians; I shalrescue you from their slavery and I shal redeem you with outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgement.	6 Por isso, dize aos israelitas: eu sou o Senhor; vou libertar-vos do jugo dos egípcios e livrar-vos de sua servidão. Estenderei o braço para essa libertação e manifestarei uma terrível justiça.
7 I shall take you as my people and I shal be your God. And you wil know that I am Yahweh your God,who have freed you from the forced labour of the Egyptians.	7 Tomar-vos-ei para meu povo e serei o vosso Deus, e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor, vosso Deus, que vos terei libertado do jugo dos egípcios.
8 Then I shal lead you into the country which I swore I would give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, andshall give it to you as your heritage, I, Yahweh." '	8 Introduzir-vos-ei na terra que jurei dar a Abraão, a Isaac e a Jacó: e vos darei a possessão dessa terra, eu, o Senhor".
9 And Moses repeated this to the Israelites, but they would not listen to Moses, so crushed was their spiritand so cruel their slavery.	9 Moisés repetiu essas palavras aos israelitas, mas estes não o ouviram, tão grande era o abatimento de sua alma e penosa a sua servidão.
10 Yahweh then said to Moses,	10 O Senhor disse então a Moisés:
11 'Go to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and tel him to let the Israelites leave his country.'	11 "Vai pedir ao faraó, ao rei do Egito, que deixe sair de sua terra os israelitas".
12 But Moses spoke out in Yahweh's presence and said, 'The Israelites have not listened to me, so whyshould Pharaoh take any notice of a poor speaker like me?'	12 Moisés respondeu ao Senhor: "Os israelitas não me ouviram; como me ouvirá o faraó, a mim que não tenho o dom da palavra?"
13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and sent them to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites outof Egypt.	13 O Senhor falou a Moisés e a Aarão, e deu-lhes a ordem de irem ter com o faraó, o rei do Egito, a fim de tirarem da terra do Egito os filhos de Israel.
14 These were their heads of families: The sons of Reuben, Israel's first-born: Hanoch, Pal u, Hezron andCarmi: these are the clans of Reuben.	14 Eis os chefes das famílias dos israelitas: filhos de Rubem, primogênito de Israel: Henoc, Falu, Hesron e Carmi. Estas são as famílias de Rubem.
15 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite woman:these are the clans of Simeon.	15 Filhos de Simeão: Jamuel, Jamim, Aod, Jaquim, Soar e Saul, filho da cananéia. Estas são as famílias de Simeão.
16 These were the names of the sons of Levi with their descendants: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levilived for a hundred and thirty-seven years.	16 Eis os nomes dos filhos de Levi, por ordem de gerações: Gerson, Caat e Merari. A duração da vida de Levi foi de cento e trinta e sete anos.
17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, with their clans.	17 Filhos de Gerson: Lobni e Semei, e suas famílias.
18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. Kohath lived for a hundred and thirty-threeyears.	18 Filhos de Caat: Amrão, Isaar, Hebron e Oziel. A duração da vida de Caat foi de cento e trinta e três anos.
19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of Levi with their descendants.	19 Filhos de Merari: Mooli e Musi. Tais são as famílias de Levi por ordem de gerações.
20 Amram married Jochebed, his aunt, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived for a hundred andthirty-seven years.	20 Amrão desposou Jocabed, sua tia, que lhe deu Aarão e Moisés. A duração da vida de Amrão foi de cento e trinta e sete anos.
21 The sons of Izhar were: Korah, Nepheg and Zichri.	21 Filhos de Isaar: Coré, Nefeg e Zecri.
22 And the sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan and Sithri.	22 Filhos de Oziel: Misael, Elisafã e Setri.
23 Aaron married Elisheba daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab,Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.	23 Aarão desposou Elisabet, filha de Aminadab, irmã de Naasson; ela lhe deu Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
24 The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These are the clans of the Korahites.	24 Filhos de Coré: Aser, Elcana e Abiasaf; estas são as famílias dos coreítas.
25 Eleazar, son of Aaron, married one of Putiel's daughters who bore him Phinehas. These were theLevitical heads of families, according to clan.	25 Eleazar, filho de Aarão, desposou uma das filhas de Futiel, que lhe deu Finéas. Tais são os chefes das famílias dos levitas, com suas famílias.
26 It was to this Aaron and Moses that Yahweh said, 'Lead the Israelites out of Egypt in their armies.'	26 Estes são Aarão e Moisés, a quem o Senhor disse: "Fazei sair do Egito os israelitas, segundo os seus exércitos".
27 It was they who spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites out of Egypt -- namely Mosesand Aaron.	27 Foram eles que falaram ao faraó, rei do Egito, para tirar do Egito os israelitas. São estes Moisés e Aarão.
28 Now the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in Egypt,	28 Quando o Senhor falou a Moisés no Egito,
29 Yahweh said to Moses, 'Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything that I am going to say to you.'	29 ele o fez nestes termos: "Eu sou o Senhor. Repete ao faraó, o rei do Egito, tudo o que te digo".
30 But Moses said to Yahweh's face, 'I am a poor speaker, so why should Pharaoh take any notice ofme?'	30 E Moisés respondeu-lhe: "Eu não tenho o dom da palavra; como me ouvirá o faraó?"
