NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Now you wil see what I am going to do to Pharaoh. A mighty hand wilforce him to let them go, a mighty hand will force him to expel them from his country.'	1 El Señor le respondió: «¡Ahora verás lo que haré al Faraón! Tendrá que dejarlos partir por la fuerza, e incluso, se verá obligado a expulsarlos de su país».
2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, 'I am Yahweh.	2 Dios habló a Moisés y le dijo: «Yo soy el Señor.
3 To Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I appeared as El Shaddai, but I did not make my name Yahweh known tothem.	3 Yo me aparecí a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob como el Dios Todopoderoso, pero no me di a conocer a ellos con mi nombre «el Señor».
4 I also made my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the country in which they wereliving as aliens.	4 También establecí mi alianza con ellos, para darles la tierra de Canaán, esa tierra donde ellos residieron como extranjeros.
5 Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, enslaved by the Egyptians, and haveremembered my covenant.	5 Y cuando escuché los gemidos de los israelitas, esclavizados por los egipcios, me acordé de mi alianza.
6 So say to the Israelites, "I am Yahweh. I shall free you from the forced labour of the Egyptians; I shalrescue you from their slavery and I shal redeem you with outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgement.	6 Por eso, anuncia esto a los israelitas» Yo soy el Señor. Yo los libraré de los trabajos forzados que les imponen los egipcios, los salvaré de la esclavitud a que ellos los someten, y los rescataré con el poder de mi brazo, infligiendo severos y justos castigos.
7 I shall take you as my people and I shal be your God. And you wil know that I am Yahweh your God,who have freed you from the forced labour of the Egyptians.	7 Haré de ustedes mi Pueblo y yo seré su Dios. Así tendrán que reconocer que soy yo, el Señor, el que los libró de los trabajos forzados de Egipto.
8 Then I shal lead you into the country which I swore I would give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, andshall give it to you as your heritage, I, Yahweh." '	8 Después los introduciré en la tierra que juré dar a Abraham, a Isaac y a Jacob, y se la daré en posesión. Yo soy el Señor.
9 And Moses repeated this to the Israelites, but they would not listen to Moses, so crushed was their spiritand so cruel their slavery.	9 Moisés refirió estas palabras a los israelitas, pero ellos no quisieron escucharlo, porque estaban desalentados a causa de la dura servidumbre.
10 Yahweh then said to Moses,	10 Entonces el Señor dijo a Moisés:
11 'Go to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and tel him to let the Israelites leave his country.'	11 «Preséntate al Faraón, el rey de Egipto, y dile que deje partir de su país a los israelitas».
12 But Moses spoke out in Yahweh's presence and said, 'The Israelites have not listened to me, so whyshould Pharaoh take any notice of a poor speaker like me?'	12 Moisés se excusó ante el Señor, diciendo: «Si los israelitas no quisieron escucharme, ¿cómo me va a escuchar el Faraón, a mí que no tengo facilidad de palabra?».
13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and sent them to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites outof Egypt.	13 Pero el Señor habló a Moisés y a Aarón, y les dio órdenes para los israelitas y para el Faraón, rey de Egipto, a fin de hacer salir de Egipto a los israelitas.
14 These were their heads of families: The sons of Reuben, Israel's first-born: Hanoch, Pal u, Hezron andCarmi: these are the clans of Reuben.	14 Los jefes de las familias de Israel fueron los siguientes: Los hijos de Rubén, el primogénito de Israel, fueron Henoc, Palú, Jesrón y Carmí. Estos son los clanes de Rubén.
15 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite woman:these are the clans of Simeon.	15 Los hijos de Simeón fueron Iemuel, Iamín, Ohad, Iaquín, Sójar y Saúl, el hijo de la cananea. Estos son los clanes de Simeón.
16 These were the names of the sons of Levi with their descendants: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levilived for a hundred and thirty-seven years.	16 Los nombres de los hijos de Leví, con sus descendientes, fueron estos: Gersón, Quehat y Merarí. Leví vivió ciento treinta y siete años.
17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, with their clans.	17 Los hijos de Gersón fueron Libní y Simei con sus clanes.
18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. Kohath lived for a hundred and thirty-threeyears.	18 Los hijos de Quehat fueron Amram, Isar, Hebrón y Uziel. Quehat vivió ciento treinta y tres años.
19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of Levi with their descendants.	19 Los hijos de Merarí fueron Majlí y Musí. Estos son los clanes de Leví con sus descendientes.
20 Amram married Jochebed, his aunt, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived for a hundred andthirty-seven years.	20 Amram se casó con Ioquébed, su tía, y de ella le nacieron Aarón y Moisés. Amram vivió ciento treinta y siete años.
21 The sons of Izhar were: Korah, Nepheg and Zichri.	21 Los hijos de Isar fueron Coré, Néfeg y Zicrí;
22 And the sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan and Sithri.	22 y los hijos de Uziel, fueron Misael, Elsafán y Sitrí.
23 Aaron married Elisheba daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab,Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.	23 Aarón se casó con Eliseba, hija de Aminadab y hermana de Najsón; de ella le nacieron Nadab, Abihú, Eleazar e Itamar.
24 The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These are the clans of the Korahites.	24 Los hijos de Coré fueron Asir, Elcaná y Abiasaf. Estos son los clanes de los coreítas.
25 Eleazar, son of Aaron, married one of Putiel's daughters who bore him Phinehas. These were theLevitical heads of families, according to clan.	25 Eleazar, hijo de Aarón, se casó con una de las hijas de Putiel, que fue madre de Pinjás. Estos son los jefes de las familias levíticas, con sus respectivos clanes.
26 It was to this Aaron and Moses that Yahweh said, 'Lead the Israelites out of Egypt in their armies.'	26 Moisés y Aarón son los mismos que recibieron del Señor la orden de sacar de Egipto a los israelitas, distribuidos en grupos.
27 It was they who spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites out of Egypt -- namely Mosesand Aaron.	27 Ellos fueron los que hablaron al Faraón, el rey de Egipto, para hacer salir a los israelitas. Son los mismos Moisés y Aarón.
28 Now the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in Egypt,	28 El día en que el Señor habló a Moisés en Egipto,
29 Yahweh said to Moses, 'Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything that I am going to say to you.'	29 les dijo: «Yo soy el Señor. Repite al Faraón, el rey de Egipto, todo lo que yo te diga».
30 But Moses said to Yahweh's face, 'I am a poor speaker, so why should Pharaoh take any notice ofme?'	30 Pero Moisés puso al Señor este pretexto: «Yo tengo dificultad para hablar. ¿Cómo me va a escuchar el Faraón?
