Exodus 40

NEW JERUSALEM	SAGRADA BIBLIA
1 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,	1 O Senhor disse a Moisés:
2 'On the first day of the first month, you wil erect the Dwel ing, the Tent of Meeting,	2 "No primeiro dia do primeiro mês, levantarás o tabernáculo, a tenda de reunião.
3 and place the ark of the Testimony in it and screen the ark with the curtain.	3 Porás nele a arca da aliança e a ocultarás com o véu.
4 You will then bring in the table and arrange what has to be arranged on it. You wil then bring in thelamp-stand and set up its lamps.	4 Trarás a mesa e disporás nela as coisas que devem estar sobre ela. Trarás o candelabro e porás nele suas lâmpadas.
5 You will place the golden altar of incense in front of the ark of the Testimony, and place the screen atthe entrance to the Dwel ing.	5 Colocarás o altar de ouro para o perfume diante da arca da aliança e pendurarás o véu à entrada do tabernáculo.
6 You will place the altar of burnt offerings in front of the entrance to the Dwel ing, the Tent of Meeting,	6 Colocarás o altar dos holocaustos diante da entrada do tabernáculo, da tenda de reunião.
7 and you wil place the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and fil it with water.	7 Colocarás a bacia entre a tenda de reunião e o altar, e porás água nela.
8 You will then set up the surrounding court and hang the screen at the gateway of the court.	8 Farás o recinto do átrio e disporás a cortina à entrada do átrio.
9 Then, taking the anointing oil, you will anoint the Dwelling and everything inside, consecrating it and alits accessories; it wil then be holy.	9 Tomarás o óleo de unção e ungirás com ele o tabernáculo com tudo o que ele contém; consagrá-lo-ás com todo o seu mobiliário, para que ele se torne uma coisa santa.
10 You wil then anoint the altar of burnt offerings and all its accessories, consecrating the altar; the altarwil then be especial y holy.	10 Ungirás o altar dos holocaustos e todos os seus utensílios; em virtude de tua consagração, o altar se tornará uma coisa santíssima.
11 You wil then anoint the basin and its stand, and consecrate it.	11 Ungirás a bacia com seu pedestal, e a consagrarás.
12 You wil then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, bathe them thoroughly	12 Farás em seguida aproximarem-se Aarão e seus filhos da entrada da tenda de reunião, onde os lavarás com água.
13 and then dress Aaron in the sacred vestments, and anoint and consecrate him, to serve me in thepriesthood.	13 Revestirás Aarão com os ornamentos sagrados; ungi-lo-ás e o consagrarás, e ele será sacerdote a meu serviço.
14 You wil then bring his sons, dress them in tunics	14 Farás aproximarem-se seus filhos e, depois de os teres revestido de túnicas,
15 and anoint them as you anointed their father, to serve me in the priesthood. Their anointing willconfer an everlasting priesthood on them for al their generations to come.'	15 tu os ungirás como o fizeste com seu pai; e serão sacerdotes a meu serviço. Essa unção lhes conferirá o sacerdócio para sempre, de geração em geração."
16 Moses did this; he did exactly as Yahweh had ordered him.	16 Moisés fez tudo o que o Senhor lhe havia mandado, e se conformou a tudo.
17 On the first day of the first month in the second year the Dwel ing was erected.	17 Assim, no segundo ano, no primeiro dia do primeiro mês, o tabernáculo foi erigido.
18 Moses erected the Dwel ing. He fixed its sockets, set up its frames, put its crossbars in position andset up its poles.	18 Moisés levantou o tabernáculo: pôs suas bases, suas tábuas, suas travessas, e assentou suas colunas.
19 He spread the tent over the Dwel ing and the covering for the tent over that, as Yahweh had orderedMoses.	19 Estendeu a tenda sobre o tabernáculo, e pôs a coberta da tenda por cima, como o Senhor lhe tinha ordenado.
20 He took the Testimony and put it in the ark, positioned the shafts on the ark and put the mercy-seaton top of the ark.	20 Tomou o testemunho e colocou-o na arca; meteu os varais na arca, e colocou nela a tampa.
21 He brought the ark into the Dwel ing and put the screening curtain in place, screening the ark of theTestimony, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	21 Introduziu a arca no tabernáculo; e, tendo pendurado o véu de separação, cobriu com ele a arca da aliança, como o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.
22 He put the table inside the Tent of Meeting, against the side of the Dwel ing, on the north, outside thecurtain,	22 Colocou a mesa na tenda de reunião, do lado norte do tabernáculo, diante da cortina;
23 and on it arranged the loaves before Yahweh, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	23 e dispôs nela em ordem os pães diante do Senhor, como o Senhor lhe tinha ordenado.
24 He put the lamp-stand inside the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of theDwelling,	24 Pôs o candelabro na tenda de reunião, diante da mesa, do lado sul do tabernáculo,
25 and set up the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	25 e dispôs nele as lâmpadas diante do Senhor, como o Senhor lhe tinha ordenado.
26 He put the golden altar inside the Tent of Meeting, in front of the curtain,	26 Colocou o altar de ouro na tenda de reunião, diante do véu,
27 and on it burnt fragrant incense, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	27 e queimou nele o incenso, como o Senhor lhe tinha ordenado.
28 He then put the screen at the entrance to the Dwel ing.	28 Colocou a cortina à entrada do tabernáculo.
29 He put the altar of burnt offerings at the entrance to the Dwel ing, to the Tent of Meeting, and on itoffered the burnt offering and cereal offering, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	29 Colocou o altar dos holocaustos à entrada do tabernáculo, da tenda de reunião, e ofereceu sobre ele o holocausto e a oblação, como o Senhor lhe tinha ordenado.
30 He put the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it for the ablutions,	30 Colocou a bacia entre a tenda de reunião e o altar, e pôs nela a água para as abluções.
31 where Moses, Aaron and his sons washed their hands and feet,	31 Moisés, Aarão e seus filhos lavaram aí as mãos e os pés.
32 whenever they entered the Tent of Meeting or approached the altar they washed, as Yahweh hadordered Moses.	32 Quando entravam na tenda de reunião e se aproximavam do altar, faziam suas abluções, como o Senhor tinha ordenado a Moisés.
33 He then set up the court round the Dwel ing and the altar and set up the screen at the gate-way tothe court. Thus Moses completed the work.	33 Enfim, fez o recinto do átrio em torno do tabernáculo e do altar e colocou a cortina na porta do átrio. Assim terminou Moisés a sua tarefa.
34 The cloud then covered the Tent of Meeting and the glory of Yahweh fil ed the Dwel ing.	34 Então a nuvem cobriu a tenda de reunião e a glória do Senhor encheu o tabernáculo.
35 Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting, since the cloud stayed over it and the glory of Yahwehfilled the Dwelling.	35 E era impossível a Moisés entrar na tenda de reunião, porque a nuvem pairava sobre ela, e a glória do Senhor enchia o tabernáculo.
36 At every stage of their journey, whenever the cloud rose from the Dwel ing, the Israelites wouldresume their march.	36 Durante todo o curso de suas peregrinações, os israelitas se punham a caminho quando se elevava a nuvem que estava sobre o tabernáculo;
37 If the cloud did not rise, they would not resume their march until the day it did rise.	37 do contrário, eles não partiam até o dia em que ela se elevasse.
38 For Yahweh's cloud stayed over the Dwel ing during the daytime and there was fire inside the cloudat night, for the whole House of Israel to see, at every stage of their journey.	38 E, enquanto duraram as suas peregrinações, a nuvem do Senhor pairou sobre o tabernáculo durante o dia; e, durante a noite, havia um fogo na nuvem, que era visível a todos os israelitas.
