Exodus 40

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,	1 El Señor habló a Moisés en estos términos:
2 'On the first day of the first month, you wil erect the Dwel ing, the Tent of Meeting,	2 El día primero del primer mes erigirás la Morada, la Carpa del Encuentro.
3 and place the ark of the Testimony in it and screen the ark with the curtain.	3 Allí pondrás el Arca del Testimonio y la protegerás con el velo.
4 You will then bring in the table and arrange what has to be arranged on it. You wil then bring in thelamp-stand and set up its lamps.	4 Luego llevarás la mesa y dispondrás sobre ella lo que sea necesario. También llevarás el candelabro y le colocarás las lámparas.
5 You will place the golden altar of incense in front of the ark of the Testimony, and place the screen atthe entrance to the Dwel ing.	5 Delante del Arca del Testimonio pondrás el altar de oro para el incienso, y a la entrada de la Morada colgarás la cortina.
6 You will place the altar of burnt offerings in front of the entrance to the Dwel ing, the Tent of Meeting,	6 Después pondrás el altar de los holocaustos delante de la entrada de la Morada;
7 and you wil place the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and fil it with water.	7 y entre la Carpa del Encuentro y el altar, colocarás la fuente llena de agua.
8 You will then set up the surrounding court and hang the screen at the gateway of the court.	8 Levantarás el atrio alrededor, y a su entrada colgarás el cortinado correspondiente.
9 Then, taking the anointing oil, you will anoint the Dwelling and everything inside, consecrating it and alits accessories; it wil then be holy.	9 Luego tomarás el óleo de la unción y ungirás la Morada y todo lo que ella contiene. Así la consagrarás con todo su mobiliario y será una cosa sagrada.
10 You wil then anoint the altar of burnt offerings and all its accessories, consecrating the altar; the altarwil then be especial y holy.	10 Ungirás asimismo el altar de los holocaustos con todos sus utensilios. Así consagrarás el altar, y este será una cosa santísima.
11 You wil then anoint the basin and its stand, and consecrate it.	11 También ungirás la fuente y su base, para que quedan consagradas.
12 You wil then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, bathe them thoroughly	12 Después harás que Aarón y sus hijos se acerquen a la entrada de la Carpa del Encuentro y los lavarás con agua.
13 and then dress Aaron in the sacred vestments, and anoint and consecrate him, to serve me in thepriesthood.	13 Luego revestirás a Aarón con las vestiduras sagradas, lo ungirás y lo consagrarás para que sea mi sacerdote.
14 You wil then bring his sons, dress them in tunics	14 Posteriormente, harás que también se acerquen sus hijos. Los vestirás con túnicas
15 and anoint them as you anointed their father, to serve me in the priesthood. Their anointing willconfer an everlasting priesthood on them for al their generations to come.'	15 y los ungirás como ungiste a su padres, a fin de que ejerzan mi sacerdocio. Esto se hará a fin de que la unción les confiera el sacerdocio para siempre, a lo largo de las generaciones.
16 Moses did this; he did exactly as Yahweh had ordered him.	16 Moisés realizó exactamente todo lo que el Señor le había ordenado.
17 On the first day of the first month in the second year the Dwel ing was erected.	17 En el segundo año, el primer día del primer mes, se procedió a la erección de la Morada.
18 Moses erected the Dwel ing. He fixed its sockets, set up its frames, put its crossbars in position andset up its poles.	18 Para ello, Moisés asentó sus bases, colocó sus bastidores, dispuso sus travesaños y levantó sus columnas.
19 He spread the tent over the Dwel ing and the covering for the tent over that, as Yahweh had orderedMoses.	19 Después extendió la carpa por encima de la Morada, y sobre ella colocó la cobertura de la carpa, como el Señor se lo había ordenado.
20 He took the Testimony and put it in the ark, positioned the shafts on the ark and put the mercy-seaton top of the ark.	20 En seguida tomó las tablas del Testimonio y los puso en el arca; sujetó las andas en el arca, y sobre ella colocó la tapa.
21 He brought the ark into the Dwel ing and put the screening curtain in place, screening the ark of theTestimony, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	21 Entonces condujo el arca hasta el interior de la Morada, colgó el velo que la protegía y así cubrió el Arca del Testimonio, conforme a la orden que el Señor le había dado.
22 He put the table inside the Tent of Meeting, against the side of the Dwel ing, on the north, outside thecurtain,	22 También puso la mesa en la Carpa del Encuentro, sobre el lado norte de la Morada, delante del cortinado,
23 and on it arranged the loaves before Yahweh, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	23 y dispuso convenientemente sobre ella los panes de la ofrenda, delante del Señor, como el mismo Señor se lo había mandado.
24 He put the lamp-stand inside the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of theDwelling,	24 Luego puso el candelabro frente a la mesa, en el lado sur de la Morada,
25 and set up the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	25 y le colocó las lámparas delante del Señor, como el Señor se lo había ordenado.
26 He put the golden altar inside the Tent of Meeting, in front of the curtain,	26 Puso asimismo el altar de oro delante del cortinado,
27 and on it burnt fragrant incense, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	27 y quemó en él incienso aromático, como el Señor lo había ordenado a Moisés
28 He then put the screen at the entrance to the Dwel ing.	28 A la entrada de la Morada colgó la cortina,
29 He put the altar of burnt offerings at the entrance to the Dwel ing, to the Tent of Meeting, and on itoffered the burnt offering and cereal offering, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	29 y delante de la entrada de la Carpa del Encuentro puso el altar de los holocaustos, sobre el cual ofreció el holocausto y la oblación, conforme a la orden del Señor.
30 He put the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it for the ablutions,	30 Entre la Carpa del Encuentro y el altar ubicó la fuente y le echó agua para las abluciones.
31 where Moses, Aaron and his sons washed their hands and feet,	31 Moisés, Aarón y sus hijos se lavaron en ella las manos y los pies,
32 whenever they entered the Tent of Meeting or approached the altar they washed, as Yahweh hadordered Moses.	32 y siempre que entraban en la Carpa del Encuentro y se acercaban al altar, se lavaban, como el Señor se lo había ordenado a Moisés.
33 He then set up the court round the Dwel ing and the altar and set up the screen at the gate-way tothe court. Thus Moses completed the work.	33 Finalmente, levantó el atrio alrededor de la Morada y del altar, y colgó el cortinado a la entrada del atrio. De esta manera Moisés dio por terminado el trabajo.
34 The cloud then covered the Tent of Meeting and the glory of Yahweh fil ed the Dwel ing.	34 Entonces la nube cubrió la Carpa del Encuentro y la gloria del Señor llenó la Morada.
35 Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting, since the cloud stayed over it and the glory of Yahwehfilled the Dwelling.	35 Moisés no podía entrar en la Carpa del Encuentro, porque la nube se había instalado sobre ella y la gloria del Señor llenaba la Morada.
36 At every stage of their journey, whenever the cloud rose from the Dwel ing, the Israelites wouldresume their march.	36 En todas las etapas del camino, cuando la nube se alzaba, alejándose de la Morada, los israelitas levantaban el campamento.
37 If the cloud did not rise, they would not resume their march until the day it did rise.	37 Pero si la nube no se alzaba, ellos no se movían, hasta que la nube volvía a hacerlo.
38 For Yahweh's cloud stayed over the Dwel ing during the daytime and there was fire inside the cloudat night, for the whole House of Israel to see, at every stage of their journey.	38 Porque durante el día, la nube del Señor estaba sobre la morada, y durante la noche, un fuego brillaba en ella, a la vista de todo el pueblo de Israel. Esto sucedía en todas las etapas del camino.
