1 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,	1 Yahvé s’adressa à Moïse:
2 'On the first day of the first month, you wil erect the Dwel ing, the Tent of Meeting,	2 “Le premier jour du premier mois, lui dit-il, tu dresseras la Demeure, la Tente du Rendez-Vous.
3 and place the ark of the Testimony in it and screen the ark with the curtain.	3 Tu y mettras l’Arche du Témoignage et tu la couvriras avec le voile.
4 You will then bring in the table and arrange what has to be arranged on it. You wil then bring in thelamp-stand and set up its lamps.	4 Tu apporteras la table et tu la garniras. Tu apporteras le chandelier et tu y fixeras les lampes.
5 You will place the golden altar of incense in front of the ark of the Testimony, and place the screen atthe entrance to the Dwel ing.	5 Tu placeras l’autel d’or pour le parfum, devant l’Arche du Témoignage, et tu mettras le rideau à l’entrée de la Demeure.
6 You will place the altar of burnt offerings in front of the entrance to the Dwel ing, the Tent of Meeting,	6 Tu placeras l’autel des holocaustes devant l’entrée de la Demeure, devant l’entrée de la Tente du Rendez-Vous.
7 and you wil place the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and fil it with water.	7 Tu placeras le bassin entre la Tente du Rendez-Vous et l’autel, et tu y mettras de l’eau.
8 You will then set up the surrounding court and hang the screen at the gateway of the court.	8 Tu clôtureras la cour tout autour, et tu fixeras la tenture de la porte de la cour.
9 Then, taking the anointing oil, you will anoint the Dwelling and everything inside, consecrating it and alits accessories; it wil then be holy.	9 Tu prendras l’huile de consécration, tu oindras avec cette huile la Demeure et tout ce qu’elle contient. Tu la consacreras avec tous ses ustensiles, et elle sera sainte.
10 You wil then anoint the altar of burnt offerings and all its accessories, consecrating the altar; the altarwil then be especial y holy.	10 Tu consacreras l’autel des holocaustes et tous ses accessoires. Tu consacreras l’autel, et l’autel sera très saint.
11 You wil then anoint the basin and its stand, and consecrate it.	11 Tu oindras le bassin avec son support et tu le consacreras.
12 You wil then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, bathe them thoroughly	12 Tu feras avancer Aaron et ses fils vers l’entrée de la Tente du Rendez-Vous et tu les laveras avec de l’eau.
13 and then dress Aaron in the sacred vestments, and anoint and consecrate him, to serve me in thepriesthood.	13 Puis tu habilleras Aaron avec les vêtements sacrés, tu l’oindras et tu le consacreras, et il sera prêtre à mon service.
14 You wil then bring his sons, dress them in tunics	14 Tu feras ensuite approcher ses fils, tu les habilleras de leur tunique,
15 and anoint them as you anointed their father, to serve me in the priesthood. Their anointing willconfer an everlasting priesthood on them for al their generations to come.'	15 tu les oindras comme tu auras oint leur père, et ils seront prêtres à mon service. Par cette onction ils recevront le sacerdoce perpétuel, pour les générations et les générations.”
16 Moses did this; he did exactly as Yahweh had ordered him.	16 Moïse fit tout comme Yahvé le lui avait ordonné, c’est ainsi qu’il fit.
17 On the first day of the first month in the second year the Dwel ing was erected.	17 Le premier jour du premier mois de la deuxième année, la Demeure fut mise en place. Moïse dressa la Demeure:
18 Moses erected the Dwel ing. He fixed its sockets, set up its frames, put its crossbars in position andset up its poles.	18 il en posa les supports, il mit en place les planches et les traverses, il dressa les colonnes;
19 He spread the tent over the Dwel ing and the covering for the tent over that, as Yahweh had orderedMoses.	19 il étendit la Tente au-dessus de la Demeure et mit par-dessus la couverture de la Tente, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.
20 He took the Testimony and put it in the ark, positioned the shafts on the ark and put the mercy-seaton top of the ark.	20 Il prit le Témoignage et le mit dans l’Arche, il fixa les barres à l’Arche, et posa l’Instrument de l’Expiation au-dessus de l’Arche.
21 He brought the ark into the Dwel ing and put the screening curtain in place, screening the ark of theTestimony, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	21 Il introduisit l’Arche dans la Demeure et il plaça la couverture de protection sur l’Arche du Témoignage, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.
22 He put the table inside the Tent of Meeting, against the side of the Dwel ing, on the north, outside thecurtain,	22 Il plaça la table dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous, du côté nord de la demeure, en avant du rideau,
23 and on it arranged the loaves before Yahweh, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	23 et il y posa les pains devant Yahvé, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.
24 He put the lamp-stand inside the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of theDwelling,	24 Il plaça le chandelier dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous, en face de la table, du côté sud de la Demeure,
25 and set up the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	25 et il alluma les lampes devant Yahvé, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.
26 He put the golden altar inside the Tent of Meeting, in front of the curtain,	26 Il mit l’autel d’or dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous, devant le rideau,
27 and on it burnt fragrant incense, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	27 et il fit brûler l’encens, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.
28 He then put the screen at the entrance to the Dwel ing.	28 Il fixa le rideau à l’entrée de la Demeure,
29 He put the altar of burnt offerings at the entrance to the Dwel ing, to the Tent of Meeting, and on itoffered the burnt offering and cereal offering, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	29 il mit l’autel des sacrifices par le feu devant l’entrée de la Demeure, de la Tente du Rendez-Vous, et il offrit un holocauste et une offrande, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.
30 He put the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it for the ablutions,	30 Il plaça le bassin entre la Tente du Rendez-Vous et l’autel, et il le remplit d’eau pour les ablutions.
31 where Moses, Aaron and his sons washed their hands and feet,	31 Moïse, Aaron et ses fils s’y lavèrent les mains et les pieds.
32 whenever they entered the Tent of Meeting or approached the altar they washed, as Yahweh hadordered Moses.	32 Quand ils entraient dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous et qu’ils s’approchaient de l’autel, ils se lavaient, comme Yahvé l’avait ordonné à Moïse.
33 He then set up the court round the Dwel ing and the altar and set up the screen at the gate-way tothe court. Thus Moses completed the work.	33 Il installa la cour autour de la Demeure et de l’autel, et il attacha la tenture à la porte de la cour. Et c’est ainsi que Moïse termina tout ce travail.
34 The cloud then covered the Tent of Meeting and the glory of Yahweh fil ed the Dwel ing.	34 Alors la nuée couvrit la Tente du Rendez-Vous et la Gloire de Yahvé emplit la Demeure.
35 Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting, since the cloud stayed over it and the glory of Yahwehfilled the Dwelling.	35 Moïse ne pouvait plus entrer dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous, parce que la nuée la couvrait et que la Gloire de Yahvé remplissait la Demeure.
36 At every stage of their journey, whenever the cloud rose from the Dwel ing, the Israelites wouldresume their march.	36 Tout au long de leurs étapes, les Israélites se mettaient en route lorsque la nuée s’élevait au-dessus de la Demeure.
37 If the cloud did not rise, they would not resume their march until the day it did rise.	37 Mais si la nuée ne bougeait pas, ils ne se mettaient pas en route jusqu’au jour où elle se levait,
38 For Yahweh's cloud stayed over the Dwel ing during the daytime and there was fire inside the cloudat night, for the whole House of Israel to see, at every stage of their journey.	38 car la nuée de Yahvé reposait sur la Demeure durant le jour, à la vue de toute la maison d’Israël, et pendant la nuit un feu brillait au milieu d’elle. Il en fut ainsi tout au long de leur route.
