Exodus 40

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
2 'On the first day of the first month, you wil erect the Dwel ing, the Tent of Meeting,	2 "Il primo giorno del primo mese erigerai la dimora, la tenda del convegno.
3 and place the ark of the Testimony in it and screen the ark with the curtain.	3 Vi metterai l'arca della testimonianza e coprirai l'arca con il velo.
4 You will then bring in the table and arrange what has to be arranged on it. You wil then bring in thelamp-stand and set up its lamps.	4 Porterai la tavola e ne farai la disposizione, porterai il candelabro e vi porrai sopra le sue lampade.
5 You will place the golden altar of incense in front of the ark of the Testimony, and place the screen atthe entrance to the Dwel ing.	5 Metterai l'altare d'oro per l'incenso davanti all'arca della testimonianza e porrai la cortina dell'ingresso della dimora.
6 You will place the altar of burnt offerings in front of the entrance to the Dwel ing, the Tent of Meeting,	6 Metterai l'altare dell'olocausto davanti all'ingresso della dimora della tenda del convegno.
7 and you wil place the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and fil it with water.	7 Porrai la vasca tra la tenda del convegno e l'altare e vi metterai l'acqua.
8 You will then set up the surrounding court and hang the screen at the gateway of the court.	8 Porrai intorno il recinto e metterai la cortina della porta del recinto.
9 Then, taking the anointing oil, you will anoint the Dwelling and everything inside, consecrating it and alits accessories; it wil then be holy.	9 Prenderai l'olio dell'unzione e ungerai la dimora e tutto quello che vi si trova, la consacrerai con tutti i suoi oggetti: e sarà santa.
10 You wil then anoint the altar of burnt offerings and all its accessories, consecrating the altar; the altarwil then be especial y holy.	10 Ungerai l'altare dell'olocausto e tutti i suoi oggetti: consacrerai l'altare e sarà l'altare santissimo.
11 You wil then anoint the basin and its stand, and consecrate it.	11 Ungerai la vasca e il suo supporto: la consacrerai.
12 You wil then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, bathe them thoroughly	12 Farai avvicinare Aronne e i suoi figli all'ingresso della tenda del convegno e li laverai con acqua.
13 and then dress Aaron in the sacred vestments, and anoint and consecrate him, to serve me in thepriesthood.	13 Rivestirai Aronne con le vesti sacre, lo ungerai, lo consacrerai e sarà mio sacerdote.
14 You wil then bring his sons, dress them in tunics	14 Farai avvicinare i suoi figli e li rivestirai con tuniche.
15 and anoint them as you anointed their father, to serve me in the priesthood. Their anointing willconfer an everlasting priesthood on them for al their generations to come.'	15 Li ungerai come hai unto il loro padre e saranno miei sacerdoti: la loro unzione sarà per essi come un sacerdozio perenne, per le loro generazioni".
16 Moses did this; he did exactly as Yahweh had ordered him.	16 Mosè fece secondo tutto quello che il Signore gli aveva ordinato.
17 On the first day of the first month in the second year the Dwel ing was erected.	17 Il primo mese del secondo anno, il primo del mese, fu eretta la dimora.
18 Moses erected the Dwel ing. He fixed its sockets, set up its frames, put its crossbars in position andset up its poles.	18 Mosè eresse la dimora, pose le sue basi, mise le sue assi, pose le sue traverse, innalzò le sue colonne;
19 He spread the tent over the Dwel ing and the covering for the tent over that, as Yahweh had orderedMoses.	19 distese la tenda sopra la dimora e vi pose sopra la copertura, in alto, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
20 He took the Testimony and put it in the ark, positioned the shafts on the ark and put the mercy-seaton top of the ark.	20 Prese e pose la testimonianza nell'arca, mise le stanghe all'arca, pose il coperchio sull'arca;
21 He brought the ark into the Dwel ing and put the screening curtain in place, screening the ark of theTestimony, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	21 portò l'arca nella dimora, mise il velo della cortina e coprì l'arca della testimonianza, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
22 He put the table inside the Tent of Meeting, against the side of the Dwel ing, on the north, outside thecurtain,	22 Mise la tavola nella tenda del convegno, sul fianco della dimora, a settentrione, all'esterno del velo;
23 and on it arranged the loaves before Yahweh, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	23 dispose su di essa il pane, in focacce sovrapposte, davanti al Signore, com'egli aveva ordinato a Mosè.
24 He put the lamp-stand inside the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of theDwelling,	24 Pose il candelabro nella tenda del convegno, di fronte alla tavola, sul fianco della dimora, a sud;
25 and set up the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	25 vi collocò sopra le lampade di fronte al Signore, com'egli aveva ordinato a Mosè.
26 He put the golden altar inside the Tent of Meeting, in front of the curtain,	26 Mise l'altare d'oro nella tenda del convegno davanti al velo,
27 and on it burnt fragrant incense, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	27 e vi fece fumare sopra l'incenso profumato, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
28 He then put the screen at the entrance to the Dwel ing.	28 Mise la cortina all'ingresso della dimora,
29 He put the altar of burnt offerings at the entrance to the Dwel ing, to the Tent of Meeting, and on itoffered the burnt offering and cereal offering, as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	29 pose l'altare dell'olocausto all'ingresso della dimora della tenda del convegno e offrì su di esso l'olocausto e l'oblazione, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
30 He put the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it for the ablutions,	30 Pose la vasca tra la tenda del convegno e l'altare e vi mise l'acqua per l'abluzione:
31 where Moses, Aaron and his sons washed their hands and feet,	31 con quest'acqua Mosè, Aronne e i suoi figli si lavavano le mani e i piedi;
32 whenever they entered the Tent of Meeting or approached the altar they washed, as Yahweh hadordered Moses.	32 quando entravano nella tenda del convegno e si avvicinavano all'altare si lavavano, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
33 He then set up the court round the Dwel ing and the altar and set up the screen at the gate-way tothe court. Thus Moses completed the work.	33 Innalzò il recinto intorno alla dimora e all'altare e mise la cortina alla porta del recinto. Così Mosè terminò il lavoro.
34 The cloud then covered the Tent of Meeting and the glory of Yahweh fil ed the Dwel ing.	34 La nube coprì la tenda del convegno e la gloria del Signore riempì la dimora.
35 Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting, since the cloud stayed over it and the glory of Yahwehfilled the Dwelling.	35 Mosè non poté entrare nella tenda del convegno perché la nube vi dimorava sopra e la gloria del Signore riempiva la dimora.
36 At every stage of their journey, whenever the cloud rose from the Dwel ing, the Israelites wouldresume their march.	36 Quando la nube si alzava al di sopra della dimora, i figli d'Israele si spostavano in tutte le loro tappe;
37 If the cloud did not rise, they would not resume their march until the day it did rise.	37 e se la nube non si alzava, non si spostavano finché non si fosse alzata.
38 For Yahweh's cloud stayed over the Dwel ing during the daytime and there was fire inside the cloudat night, for the whole House of Israel to see, at every stage of their journey.	38 Perché di giorno la nube del Signore era sopra la dimora e di notte vi era sopra un fuoco, agli occhi di tutta la casa d'Israele in tutte le sue tappe.
