1 Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt,	1 Disse ancora il Signore a Mosè, e ad Aronne nella terra d'Egitto:
2 'This month must be the first of al the months for you, the first month of your year.	2 Questo mese sarà per voi principio de' mesi: sarà il primo tra' mesi dell'anno.
3 Speak to the whole community of Israel and say, "On the tenth day of this month each man must takean animal from the flock for his family: one animal for each household.	3 Parlate a tutta l'adunanza de' figliuoli d'Israele, e dite loro: Il decimo giorno di questo mese prenda ciascuno un agnello per famiglia, e per casa.
4 If the household is too smal for the animal, he must join with his neighbour nearest to his house,depending on the number of persons. When you choose the animal, you wil take into account what each caneat.	4 Che se il numero è minore di quello che può bastare a mangiare l'agnello, prenderà il suo vicino, che gli sta allato di casa, per fare il numero d'anime sufficiente a mangiare l'agnello.
5 It must be an animal without blemish, a male one year old; you may choose it either from the sheep orfrom the goats.	5 Or l'agnello sarà senza macchia, maschio, dell'anno: e collo stesso rito prenderete anche il capretto.
6 You must keep it til the fourteenth day of the month when the whole assembly of the community ofIsrael wil slaughter it at twilight.	6 E lo serberete fino al quattordicesimo giorno di questo mese: e tutta quanta la moltitudine de' figliuoli d'Israele lo immolerà alla sera.
7 Some of the blood must then be taken and put on both door-posts and the lintel of the houses where itis eaten.	7 E prenderanno del sangue di esso, e ne metteranno sopra l'una parte e l'altra della porta, e sull’architrave della porta delle case, nelle quali lo mangeranno.
8 That night, the flesh must be eaten, roasted over the fire; it must be eaten with unleavened bread andbitter herbs.	8 E mangeranno quella notte le carni arrostite al fuoco, e pane azzimo con lattughe salvatiche.
9 Do not eat any of it raw or boiled in water, but roasted over the fire, with the head, feet and entrails.	9 Non ne mangerete niente di crudo, né di cotto nell'acqua, ma solamente arrostito al fuoco: mangerete la testa, e i piedi, e gl'intestini di esso.
10 You must not leave any of it over till the morning: whatever is left till morning you must burn.	10 Nulla di esso rimarrà al mattino; se qualche cosa n'avanza, la brucerete col fuoco.
11 This is how you must eat it: with a belt round your waist, your sandals on your feet and your staff inyour hand. You must eat it hurriedly: it is a Passover in Yahweh's honour.	11 E lo mangerete in questa maniera: Avrete cinti i fianchi, le scarpe a' piedi, e i bastoni in mano, e mangerete in fretta: perché è la Phase (cioè il transito) del Signore.
12 That night, I shal go through Egypt and strike down all the first-born in Egypt, man and beast alike,and shal execute justice on al the gods of Egypt, I, Yahweh!	12 Imperocché io passerò in quella notte per la terra d'Egitto, e percuoterò tutti i primogeniti nella terra d'Egitto dagli uomini fino alle bestie: e di tutti gli dei dell'Egitto prenderò vendetta io il Signore.
13 The blood wil be a sign for you on the houses where you are. When I see the blood I shall pass overyou, and you wil escape the destructive plague when I strike Egypt.	13 E quel sangue sarà per voi il segnale delle case, nelle quali vi troverete: e io vedrò il sangue, e vi trapasserò: e non cadrà sopra di voi la piaga sterminatrice, allorché io percuoterò la terra d'Egitto.
14 This day must be commemorated by you, and you must keep it as a feast in Yahweh's honour. Youmust keep it as a feast-day for al generations; this is a decree for al time.	14 Or questo giorno sarà memorabile per voi: e qual dì solenne del Signore lo festeggerete con perpetuo culto nelle venture vostre generazioni.
15 "For seven days you must eat unleavened bread. On the first day you must clean the leaven out ofyour houses, for anyone who eats leavened bread from the first to the seventh day must be outlawed from Israel.	15 Per sette giorni mangerete pane azzimo; sino dal primo giorno non resterà lievito nelle case vostre: se alcuno mangerà del fermentato, dal primo dì fino al settimo, sarà recisa quell'anima da Israele.
16 On the first day you must hold a sacred assembly, and on the seventh day a sacred assembly. Onthose days no work may be done; you wil prepare only what each requires to eat.	16 Il primo dì sarà santo e solenne, e il settimo sarà venerato con eguale solennità: in essi non farete alcun'opera servile, tolto quello che spetta al mangiare.
17 You must keep the feast of Unleavened Bread because it was on that same day that I brought yourarmies out of Egypt. You wil keep that day, generation after generation; this is a decree for al time.	17 E osserverete la festa degli azzimi: imperocché in quello stesso dì io trarrò il vostro esercito dalla terra di Egitto: e voi questo giorno solennizzerete con perpetuo culto nelle seguenti generazioni.
18 In the first month, from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day, youmust eat unleavened bread.	18 Il primo mese, ai quattordici del mese alla sera mangerete gli azzimi fino al dì vigesimo primo dello stesso mese alla sera.
19 For seven days there may be no leaven in your houses, since anyone, either stranger or citizen ofthe country, who eats leavened bread wil be outlawed from the community of Israel.	19 Per que' sette giorni non sì troverà fermento nelle vostre case: se alcuno mangerà fermentato, sarà recisa quell'anima dal ruolo d'Israele, sia egli nativo del paese, o sia forestiero.
20 You wil eat nothing with leaven in it; wherever you live, you will eat unleavened bread." '	20 Non mangerete niente di fermentato: in tutte le vostre abitazioni mangerete azzimi.
21 Moses summoned al the elders of Israel and said to them, 'Go and choose a lamb or kid for yourfamilies, and kil the Passover victim.	21 Mosè adunque convocò tutti i seniori d'Israele, e disse loro: Andate, prendete l'animale per ciascuna delle vostre famiglie, e immolate la Pasqua.
22 Then take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and with the blood from the basintouch the lintel and both door-posts; then let none of you venture out of the house til morning.	22 E bagnate un mazzetto d'issopo nel sangue, che sarà sulla soglia, e aspergetene l'architrave, e l'una e l'altra parte della porta: nissuno di voi esca fuori della porta di sua casa fino alla mattina.
23 Then, when Yahweh goes through Egypt to strike it, and sees the blood on the lintel and on bothdoor-posts, he wil pass over the door and not al ow the Destroyer to enter your homes and strike.	23 Imperocché passerà il Signore, che flagellerà gli Egiziani: e quando vedrà il sangue sull'architrave, e all'una ed altra parte della porta, passerà oltre la porta di questa casa, e non permetterà, che entri nelle case vostre lo sterminatore, e faccia danno.
24 You wil observe this as a decree binding you and your children for al time,	24 Osserva questo comando come inviolabile per te, e pei tuoi figliuoli in eterno.
25 and when you have entered the country which Yahweh will give you, as he has promised, you wilobserve this ritual.	25 E quando sarete entrati nella terra, che il Signore darà a voi, conforme ha promesso, osserverete queste cerimonie.
26 And when your children ask you, "What does this ritual mean?"	26 E quando diranno a voi i vostri figliuoli: Qual rito è questo?
27 you will tel them, "It is the Passover sacrifice in honour of Yahweh who passed over the houses ofthe Israelites in Egypt, and struck Egypt but spared our houses." ' And the people bowed in worship.	27 Voi direte loro: Questa è la vittima del passaggio del Signore, quando egli trapassò le case de' fìgliuoli d'Israele in Egitto, flagellando gli Egiziani, e salvando le nostre case. E il popolo prostratosi adorò (il Signore).
28 The Israelites then went away and did as Yahweh had ordered Moses and Aaron.	28 E andarono i figliuoli d'Israele, e fecero come avea il Signore ordinato a Mosè, e ad Aronne.
29 And at midnight Yahweh struck down al the first-born in Egypt from the first-born of Pharaoh, heir tohis throne, to the first-born of the prisoner in the dungeon, and the first-born of all the livestock.	29 Quand'ecco alla mezza notte il Signore percosse tutti i primogeniti nella terra di Egitto, dal primogenito di Faraone, che sedea sul trono di lui, fino al primogenito della schiava nell'ergastolo, e tutti i primogeniti degli animali.
30 Pharaoh and al his officials and al the Egyptians got up in the night, and there was great wailing inEgypt, for there was not a house without its dead.	30 E si alzo Faraone di notte, e tutti i suoi servi, e tutto l'Egitto, e si levarono grandi strida in Egitto; perocché non vi avea casa, dove non fosse disteso un morto.
31 It was stil dark when Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, 'Up, leave my subjects, youand the Israelites! Go and worship Yahweh as you have asked!	31 E Faraone chiamò a sé in quella notte Mosè ed Aronne, e disse: Su via, ritiratevi dal mio popolo voi, e i figliuoli d'Israele: andate, immolate ostie al Signore, come voi dite.
32 And take your flocks and herds as you have asked, and go! And bless me too!'	32 Prendete le vostre pecore, e gli armenti, come avete domandato, e partendovi pregate per me.
33 The Egyptians urged the people on and hurried them out of the country because, they said,'Otherwise we shal al be dead.'	33 E gli Egiziani pressavano il popolo ad uscire con prestezza dal paese, dicendo: Morremo tutti.
34 So the people carried off their dough stil unleavened, their bowls wrapped in their cloaks, on theirshoulders.	34 Prese adunque il popolo la farina impastata prima che fosse lievitata; e rinvoltata ne' mantelli se la pose sulle spalle.
35 The Israelites did as Moses had told them and asked the Egyptians for silver and golden jewel ery,and clothing.	35 E fecero i figliuoli d'Israele, come avea ordinato Mosè: e chiesero agli Egiziani dei vasi d'argento, e d'oro, e moltissime vestimenta.
36 Yahweh made the Egyptians so much impressed with the people that they gave them what theyasked. So they despoiled the Egyptians.	36 E il Signore fece, che il popolo trovasse grazia dinanzi agli Egiziani, onde questi gliene imprestassero: e saccheggiarono gli Egiziani.
37 The Israelites left Rameses for Succoth, about six hundred thousand on the march-men, that is, notcounting their families.	37 E partirono i figliuoli d'Israele da Ramesse per Socoth, circa secento mila uomini a piedi, senza contare i fanciulli.
38 A mixed crowd of people went with them, and flocks and herds, quantities of livestock.	38 E anche una turba innumerabil di gente di ogni maniera partì con essi, e pecore, e armenti, e animali di varii generi in grandissima quantità.
39 And with the dough which they had brought from Egypt they baked unleavened cakes, because thedough had not risen, since they had been driven out of Egypt without time to linger or to prepare food forthemselves.	39 E cossero la farina, che avean già portato impastata dall'Egitto: e ne fecero del pane azzimo cotto sotto la cenere; perocché non avean potuto farla lievitare, affrettandoli gli Egiziani a partire, e non permettendo loro dilazione alcuna: né avean potuto prepararsi alcun companatico.
40 The time that the Israelites spent in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years.	40 Or il tempo, che dimorarono in Egitto i figliuoli d'Israele, fu di quattrocento trent'anni.
41 And on the very day the four hundred and thirty years ended, al Yahweh's armies left Egypt.	41 Compiuti i quali, tutto l'esercito del Signore partì in uno stesso dì dalla terra d'Egitto.
42 The night when Yahweh kept vigil to bring them out of Egypt must be kept as a vigil in honour ofYahweh by al Israelites, for al generations.	42 Onoranda notte del Signore ella è questa, in cui egli dalla terra d'Egitto li trasse: e onorarla debbono tutti i figliuoli d'Israele in tutte le generazioni.
43 Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron, 'This is the ritual for the Passover: no alien may eat it,	43 E il Signore disse a Mosè, e ad Aronne: Questo è il rito della Pasqua; nissuno straniero ne mangerà.
44 but any slave bought for money may eat it, once you have circumcised him.	44 E tutti i servi comprati a prezzo saran circoncisi, e allora ne mangeranno.
45 No stranger and no hired servant may eat it.	45 Lo straniero, e il mercenario non ne mangeranno.
46 It must be eaten in one house alone; you wil not take any of the meat out of the house; nor may youbreak any of its bones.	46 Si mangerà in ciascuna casa: e delle carni di lui nulla ne porterete fuori, e non ne spezzerete alcun osso.
47 'The whole community of Israel must keep it.	47 Tutta la moltitudine de' figliuoli d'Israele lo sacrificherà.
48 Should a stranger residing with you wish to keep the Passover in honour of Yahweh, al the males ofhis household must be circumcised: he wil then be al owed to keep it and wil count as a citizen of the country.But no uncircumcised person may eat it.	48 Che se qualche straniero vorrà passare alla vostra religione, e fare la Pasqua del Signore, saran prima circoncisi tutti i suoi maschi, e allora lo celebrerà legittimamente, e sarà come cittadino del vostro paese: ehi poi non sarà circonciso, non lo mangerà.
49 The same law will apply to the citizen and the stranger resident among you.'	49 Una stessa legge sarà pel cittadino, e per lo straniero, che è tra voi pellegrino.
50 The Israelites all did as Yahweh had ordered Moses and Aaron,	50 E tutti i figliuoli d'Israele fecero, come avea ordinato il Signore a Mosè, e ad Aronne.
51 and that same day Yahweh brought the Israelites out of Egypt in their armies.	51 E nello stesso dì il Signore fece uscire dalla terra d'Egitto i figliuoli d'Israele divisi nelle loro schiere.
