1 Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron in Egypt,	1 Dijo Yahveh a Moisés y Aarón en el país de Egipto:
2 'This month must be the first of al the months for you, the first month of your year.	2 «Este mes será para vosotros el comienzo de los meses; será el primero de los meses del año.
3 Speak to the whole community of Israel and say, "On the tenth day of this month each man must takean animal from the flock for his family: one animal for each household.	3 Hablad a toda la comunidad de Israel y decid: El día diez de este mes tomará cada uno para sí una res de ganado menor por familia, una res de ganado menor por casa.
4 If the household is too smal for the animal, he must join with his neighbour nearest to his house,depending on the number of persons. When you choose the animal, you wil take into account what each caneat.	4 Y si la familia fuese demasiado reducida para una res de ganado menor, traerá al vecino más cercano a su casa, según el número de personas y conforme a lo que cada cual pueda comer.
5 It must be an animal without blemish, a male one year old; you may choose it either from the sheep orfrom the goats.	5 El animal será sin defecto, macho, de un año. Lo escogeréis entre los corderos o los cabritos.
6 You must keep it til the fourteenth day of the month when the whole assembly of the community ofIsrael wil slaughter it at twilight.	6 Lo guardaréis hasta el día catorce de este mes; y toda la asamblea de la comunidad de los israelitas lo inmolará entre dos luces.
7 Some of the blood must then be taken and put on both door-posts and the lintel of the houses where itis eaten.	7 Luego tomarán la sangre y untarán las dos jambas y el dintel de las casas donde lo coman.
8 That night, the flesh must be eaten, roasted over the fire; it must be eaten with unleavened bread andbitter herbs.	8 En aquella misma noche comerán la carne. La comerán asada al fuego, con ázimos y con hierbas amargas.
9 Do not eat any of it raw or boiled in water, but roasted over the fire, with the head, feet and entrails.	9 Nada de él comeréis crudo ni cocido, sino asado, con su cabeza, sus patas y sus entrañas.
10 You must not leave any of it over till the morning: whatever is left till morning you must burn.	10 Y no dejaréis nada de él para la mañana; lo que sobre al amanecer lo quemaréis.
11 This is how you must eat it: with a belt round your waist, your sandals on your feet and your staff inyour hand. You must eat it hurriedly: it is a Passover in Yahweh's honour.	11 Así lo habéis de comer: ceñidas vuestras cinturas, calzados vuestros pies, y el bastón en vuestra mano; y lo comeréis de prisa. Es Pascua de Yahveh.
12 That night, I shal go through Egypt and strike down all the first-born in Egypt, man and beast alike,and shal execute justice on al the gods of Egypt, I, Yahweh!	12 Yo pasaré esta noche por la tierra de Egipto y heriré a todos los primogénitos del país de Egipto, desde los hombres hasta los ganados, y me tomaré justicia de todos los dioses de Egipto. Yo, Yahveh.
13 The blood wil be a sign for you on the houses where you are. When I see the blood I shall pass overyou, and you wil escape the destructive plague when I strike Egypt.	13 La sangre será vuestra señal en las casas donde moráis. Cuando yo vea la sangre pasaré de largo ante vosotros, y no habrá entre vosotros plaga exterminadora cuando yo hiera el país de Egipto.
14 This day must be commemorated by you, and you must keep it as a feast in Yahweh's honour. Youmust keep it as a feast-day for al generations; this is a decree for al time.	14 Este será un día memorable para vosotros, y lo celebraréis como fiesta en honor de Yahveh de generación en generación. Decretaréis que sea fiesta para siempre».
15 "For seven days you must eat unleavened bread. On the first day you must clean the leaven out ofyour houses, for anyone who eats leavened bread from the first to the seventh day must be outlawed from Israel.	15 «Durante siete días comeréis ázimos; ya desde el primer día quitaréis de vuestras casas la levadura. Todo el que desde el día primero hasta el día séptimo coma pan fermentado, ese tal será exterminado de en medio de Israel.
16 On the first day you must hold a sacred assembly, and on the seventh day a sacred assembly. Onthose days no work may be done; you wil prepare only what each requires to eat.	16 El primer día tendréis reunión sagrada; también el día séptimo os reuniréis en reunión sagrada. Ningún trabajo se hará en esos días, salvo la comida para cada uno. Esto es lo único que podréis hacer.
17 You must keep the feast of Unleavened Bread because it was on that same day that I brought yourarmies out of Egypt. You wil keep that day, generation after generation; this is a decree for al time.	17 Guardad la fiesta de los Ázimos, porque en ese mismo día saqué yo vuestros ejércitos de la tierra de Egipto. Guardad este día de generación en generación como decreto perpetuo.
18 In the first month, from the evening of the fourteenth day until the evening of the twenty-first day, youmust eat unleavened bread.	18 Comeréis ázimos en el mes primero, desde la tarde del día catorce del mes hasta la tarde del día veintiuno.
19 For seven days there may be no leaven in your houses, since anyone, either stranger or citizen ofthe country, who eats leavened bread wil be outlawed from the community of Israel.	19 No habrá levadura en vuestras casas por espacio de siete días; todo aquel que coma algo fermentado, sea forastero o natural del país, será exterminado de la comunidad de Israel.
20 You wil eat nothing with leaven in it; wherever you live, you will eat unleavened bread." '	20 No comeréis nada fermentado; en todo lugar donde habitéis, comeréis ázimos.»
21 Moses summoned al the elders of Israel and said to them, 'Go and choose a lamb or kid for yourfamilies, and kil the Passover victim.	21 Llamó Moisés a todos los ancianos de Israel y les dijo: «Id en busca de reses menores para vuestras familias e inmolad la pascua.
22 Then take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and with the blood from the basintouch the lintel and both door-posts; then let none of you venture out of the house til morning.	22 Tomaréis un manojo de hisopo, lo mojaréis en la sangre que está en la vasija y untaréis el dintel y las dos jambas con la sangre de la vasija; y ninguno de vosotros saldrá de la puerta de su casa hasta la mañana.
23 Then, when Yahweh goes through Egypt to strike it, and sees the blood on the lintel and on bothdoor-posts, he wil pass over the door and not al ow the Destroyer to enter your homes and strike.	23 Yahveh pasará y herirá a los egipcios, pero al ver la sangre en el dintel y en las dos jambas, Yahveh pasará de largo por aquella puerta y no permitirá que el Exterminador entre en vuestras casas para herir.
24 You wil observe this as a decree binding you and your children for al time,	24 Guardad este mandato como decreto perpetuo para vosotros y vuestros hijos.
25 and when you have entered the country which Yahweh will give you, as he has promised, you wilobserve this ritual.	25 También guardaréis este rito cuando entréis en la tierra que os dará Yahveh, según su promesa.
26 And when your children ask you, "What does this ritual mean?"	26 Y cuando os pregunten vuestros hijos: “¿Qué significa para vosotros este rito?”,
27 you will tel them, "It is the Passover sacrifice in honour of Yahweh who passed over the houses ofthe Israelites in Egypt, and struck Egypt but spared our houses." ' And the people bowed in worship.	27 responderéis: “Este es el sacrificio de la Pascua de Yahveh, que pasó de largo por las casas de los israelitas en Egipto cuando hirió a los egipcios y salvó nuestras casas.”» Entonces el pueblo se postró para adorar.
28 The Israelites then went away and did as Yahweh had ordered Moses and Aaron.	28 Fueron los israelitas e hicieron lo que había mandado Yahveh a Moisés y a Aarón; así lo hicieron.
29 And at midnight Yahweh struck down al the first-born in Egypt from the first-born of Pharaoh, heir tohis throne, to the first-born of the prisoner in the dungeon, and the first-born of all the livestock.	29 Y sucedió que, a media noche, Yahveh hirió en el país de Egipto a todos los primogénitos, desde el primogénito de Faraón, que se sienta sobre su trono, hasta el primogénito del preso en la cárcel, y a todo primer nacido del ganado.
30 Pharaoh and al his officials and al the Egyptians got up in the night, and there was great wailing inEgypt, for there was not a house without its dead.	30 Levantóse Faraón aquella noche, con todos sus servidores y todos los egipcios; y hubo grande alarido en Egipto, porque no había casa donde no hubiese un muerto.
31 It was stil dark when Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said, 'Up, leave my subjects, youand the Israelites! Go and worship Yahweh as you have asked!	31 Llamó Faraón a Moisés y a Aarón, durante la noche, y les dijo: «Levantaos y salid de en medio de mi pueblo, vosotros y los israelitas, e id a dar culto a Yahveh, como habéis dicho.
32 And take your flocks and herds as you have asked, and go! And bless me too!'	32 Tomad también vuestros rebaños y vuestras vacadas, como dijisteis. Marchaos y bendecidme también a mí.»
33 The Egyptians urged the people on and hurried them out of the country because, they said,'Otherwise we shal al be dead.'	33 Los egipcios por su parte instaban al pueblo para acelerar su salida del país, pues decían. «Vamos a morir todos.»
34 So the people carried off their dough stil unleavened, their bowls wrapped in their cloaks, on theirshoulders.	34 Tomó, pues, el pueblo la masa, antes que fermentara y, envolviendo en los mantos las artesas de la harina, se las cargaron a hombros.
35 The Israelites did as Moses had told them and asked the Egyptians for silver and golden jewel ery,and clothing.	35 Los israelitas hicieron lo que les dijo Moisés y pidieron a los egipcios objetos de plata, objetos de oro y vestidos.
36 Yahweh made the Egyptians so much impressed with the people that they gave them what theyasked. So they despoiled the Egyptians.	36 Yahveh hizo que el pueblo se ganara el favor de los egipcios, los cuales se los prestaron. Así despojaron a los egipcios.
37 The Israelites left Rameses for Succoth, about six hundred thousand on the march-men, that is, notcounting their families.	37 Los israelitas partieron de Ramsés hacia Sukkot, unos 600.000 hombres de a pie, sin contar los niños.
38 A mixed crowd of people went with them, and flocks and herds, quantities of livestock.	38 Salió también con ellos una muchedumbre abigarrada y grandes rebaños de ovejas y vacas.
39 And with the dough which they had brought from Egypt they baked unleavened cakes, because thedough had not risen, since they had been driven out of Egypt without time to linger or to prepare food forthemselves.	39 De la masa que habían sacado de Egipto cocieron tortas ázimas, porque no había fermentado todavía; pues al ser echados de Egipto no pudieron tomar víveres ni provisiones para el camino.
40 The time that the Israelites spent in Egypt was four hundred and thirty years.	40 Los israelitas estuvieron en Egipto 430 años.
41 And on the very day the four hundred and thirty years ended, al Yahweh's armies left Egypt.	41 El mismo día que se cumplían los 430 años, salieron de la tierra de Egipto todos los ejércitos de Yahveh.
42 The night when Yahweh kept vigil to bring them out of Egypt must be kept as a vigil in honour ofYahweh by al Israelites, for al generations.	42 Noche de guardia fue ésta para Yahveh, para sacarlos de la tierra de Egipto. Esta misma noche será la noche de guardia en honor de Yahveh para todos los israelitas, por todas sus generaciones.
43 Yahweh said to Moses and Aaron, 'This is the ritual for the Passover: no alien may eat it,	43 Dijo Yahveh a Moisés y a Aarón: «Estas son las normas sobre la Pascua: no comerá de ella ningún extranjero.
44 but any slave bought for money may eat it, once you have circumcised him.	44 Todo siervo, comprado por dinero, a quien hayas circuncidado, podrá comerla.
45 No stranger and no hired servant may eat it.	45 Pero el residente y el jornalero no la comerán.
46 It must be eaten in one house alone; you wil not take any of the meat out of the house; nor may youbreak any of its bones.	46 Se ha de comer dentro de casa; no sacaréis fuera de casa nada de carne, ni le quebraréis ningún hueso.
47 'The whole community of Israel must keep it.	47 Toda la comunidad de Israel la celebrará.
48 Should a stranger residing with you wish to keep the Passover in honour of Yahweh, al the males ofhis household must be circumcised: he wil then be al owed to keep it and wil count as a citizen of the country.But no uncircumcised person may eat it.	48 Si un forastero que habita contigo quiere celebrar la Pascua de Yahveh, que se circunciden todos sus varones, y entonces podrá acercarse para celebrarla, pues será como los nativos; pero ningún incircunciso podrá comerla.
49 The same law will apply to the citizen and the stranger resident among you.'	49 Una misma ley habrá para el nativo y para el forastero que habita en medio de vosotros.»
50 The Israelites all did as Yahweh had ordered Moses and Aaron,	50 Así lo hicieron todos los israelitas. Tal como había mandado Yahveh a Moisés y a Aarón, así lo hicieron.
51 and that same day Yahweh brought the Israelites out of Egypt in their armies.	51 Y en aquel mismo día sacó Yahveh del país de Egipto a los israelitas en orden de campaña.
