Ezra 1

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia -- to fulfil the word of Yahweh spoken through Jeremiah -Yahwehroused the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia to issue a proclamation and to have it publicly displayed throughout hiskingdom:	1 Nell'anno primo di Ciro, re di Persia, allo scopo di realizzare la parola del Signore pronunciata per bocca di Geremia, il Signore suscitò lo spirito di Ciro, re di Persia, il quale diffuse un proclama in tutto il suo regno, anche per iscritto, annunciando:
2 'Cyrus king of Persia says this, "Yahweh, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earthand has appointed me to build him a Temple in Jerusalem, in Judah.	2 "Così dice il re di Persia, Ciro. Il Signore, Dio del cielo, mi ha consegnato tutti i regni della terra e mi ha comandato di edificargli una casa a Gerusalemme, in Giuda.
3 Whoever among you belongs to the ful tal y of his people, may his God be with him! Let him go up toJerusalem, in Judah, and build the Temple of Yahweh, God of Israel, who is the God in Jerusalem.	3 Chi tra voi appartiene al suo popolo? Il suo Dio sia con lui: salga pure a Gerusalemme, in Giuda, e costruisca la casa del Signore Dio d'Israele, Dio che è in Gerusalemme.
4 And let each survivor, wherever he lives, be helped by the people of his locality with silver, gold,equipment and riding beasts, as wel as voluntary offerings for the Temple of God which is in Jerusalem." '	4 Tutto il resto del popolo, in tutti i luoghi dov'esso dimora, dai residenti in quei luoghi sia rifornito d'argento, d'oro, di beni e di bestiame, di offerte volontarie per la casa di Dio, che è a Gerusalemme".
5 Then the heads of families of Judah and of Benjamin, the priests and the Levites, in fact al whose spirithad been roused by God, prepared to go and rebuild the Temple of Yahweh in Jerusalem;	5 Allora i capifamiglia di Giuda e Beniamino, i sacerdoti e i leviti, assieme a tutti coloro ai quali Dio aveva ridestato lo spirito, si levarono per andare a costruire la casa del Signore, a Gerusalemme.
6 and al their neighbours gave them every kind of help: silver, gold, equipment, riding beasts andvaluable presents, in addition to their voluntary offerings.	6 Tutti i loro vicini li provvidero con le loro mani di oggetti d'argento, d'oro, di beni, di bestiame e di cose preziose in quantità, oltre a tutte le offerte volontarie.
7 Furthermore, King Cyrus handed over the articles belonging to the Temple of Yahweh whichNebuchadnezzar had carried away from Jerusalem and put in the temple of his god.	7 Il re Ciro trasse fuori le suppellettili della casa del Signore che Nabucodònosor aveva portato via da Gerusalemme e aveva collocato nella casa del suo dio.
8 Cyrus king of Persia handed them over to Mithredath the treasurer who checked them out toSheshbazzar the prince of Judah.	8 Ciro re di Persia le fece prelevare per mezzo di Mitridate, il tesoriere, e le consegnò contate a Sesbassar, principe di Giuda.
9 The inventory was as fol ows: thirty gold dishes; one thousand silver dishes, twenty-nine repaired;	9 Questo è il loro computo: trenta bacinelle d'oro, mille bacinelle d'argento, ventinove coltelli,
10 thirty gold bowls; a thousand silver bowls, four hundred and ten damaged; one thousand other articles.	10 trenta coppe d'oro, quattrocentodieci coppe d'argento di second'ordine, mille altre suppellettili.
11 In al , five thousand four hundred articles of gold and silver. Sheshbazzar took al these with him whenhe led the exiles back from Babylon to Jerusalem.	11 Le suppellettili d'oro e d'argento erano tutte insieme cinquemilaquattrocento. Sesbassar le riportò tutte da Babilonia a Gerusalemme, quando gli esuli vi furono ricondotti.
