NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA RICCIOTTI
1 Thus all the work done by Solomon for the Temple of Yahweh was completed, and Solomon brought inthe gifts which his father David had consecrated; and he had the silver, the gold and all the utensils put into thetreasuries of the Temple of God.	1 - Salomone adunque fece portare tutto ciò che era stato offerto da Davide suo padre; l'argento, l'oro e tutti gli altri oggetti, e li pose nei tesori della casa del Signore.
2 Solomon then assembled the elders of Israel to Jerusalem, al the tribal chiefs, the princes of thefamilies of Israel, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh up from the City of David, that is, Zion.	2 Riunì poi in Gerusalemme tutti gli anziani d'Israele, tutti i principi delle tribù, e i capi di famiglia dei figli d'Israele, per trasportare l'arca dell'alleanza del Signore dalla città di Davide, cioè da Sion.
3 Al the men of Israel assembled round the king at the time of the feast, that is, in the seventh month.	3 Venuti pertanto presso il re tutti gli uomini d'Israele nella grande solennità del mese settimo,
4 When all the elders of Israel had arrived, the Levites took up the ark;	4 e venuti tutti i seniori d'Israele, i leviti portarono l'arca,
5 they brought up the ark and the Tent of Meeting and al the sacred utensils which were in the Tent; thelevitical priests brought them up.	5 e la trasportarono insieme a tutta la suppellettile del tabernacolo. Ma i vasi del Santuario, che erano nel tabernacolo, li trasportarono i sacerdoti coi leviti.
6 King Solomon and the whole assembly of Israel present with him before the ark sacrificed countless,innumerable sheep and oxen.	6 Frattanto Salomone e tutta l'assemblea d'Israele e tutti quelli che erano stati colà riuniti dinanzi all'arca, immolarono innumerevoli arieti e buoi: molto grande fu infatti la moltitudine delle vittime.
7 The priests brought the ark of the covenant of Yahweh to its place, in the Debir of the Temple, that is, inthe Holy of Holies, under the wings of the winged creatures;	7 I sacerdoti portarono l'arca del Signore nel suo luogo, vale a dire nell'oracolo del tempio, nel Santo dei Santi, sotto l'ala dei cherubini,
8 for they spread their wings over the place where the ark stood, forming a canopy over the ark and itsshafts.	8 in modo che i cherubini, spiegando le loro ali sopra il luogo ove era posta l'arca, coprivano la stessa arca coi suoi bastoni.
9 The shafts were so long, however, that the ends of the shafts of the ark could be seen in front of theHoly Place in front of the Debir, though they could not be seen from outside. They are still there today.	9 L'estremità poi dei bastoni, coi quali era portata l'arca, essendo essi un po' più lunghi, apparivano dinanzi all'oracolo, benchè non potessero essere visti da chi si fosse trovato un po' fuori. L'arca pertanto rimase colà fino ai nostri giorni.
10 There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets which Moses had placed in it at Horeb, whenYahweh made a covenant with the Israelites when they came out of Egypt.	10 Nell'arca non eravi altro che le due tavole, che Mosè vi aveva collocate sull'Oreb, quando il Signore diede la legge ai figli d'Israele, usciti dall'Egitto.
11 Now when the priests came out of the Holy Place -- for al the priests present had sanctifiedthemselves regardless of the orders to which they belonged,	11 Quando i sacerdoti furono usciti dal santuario (poichè tutti i sacerdoti, che avevan potuto intervenire, si erano santificati; e in quel tempo non si erano ancora fatte le divisioni secondo i turni e l'ordine delle funzioni),
12 and al the levitical singers, Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun with their sons and brothers, dressed inlinen, were standing to the east of the altar with cymbals, lyres and harps and with them one hundred and twentypriests blowing the trumpets,	12 tanto i leviti quanto i cantori, cioè tanto quelli che erano sotto Asaf come quelli che erano sotto Eman e sotto Iditun coi figli e fratelli loro, vestiti di bisso, sonavano cembali, salteri e cetre, standosene ad oriente dell'altare, insieme con centoventi sacerdoti, che davano fiato alle trombe.
13 and the harmony between trumpeters and singers was such that only one melody could be heard asthey praised and gave thanks to Yahweh -- and the singing began, to the accompaniment of trumpets, cymbalsand musical instruments, and they praised Yahweh 'for he is good, for his faithful love is everlasting' -- then theTemple was fil ed with the cloud of the glory of Yahweh,	13 Tutti pertanto e con trombe e con la voce e con cembali e organi e con istrumenti di vario genere cantavano e facevano gran rumore, in modo che da lontano se ne sentiva il rimbombo, e quando cominciarono a lodare il Signore e a dire: «Date lode al Signore perchè è buono, perchè la sua misericordia è eterna», tutta la casa di Dio si riempì di una nube,
14 and because of the cloud the priests could not stay and perform their duties. For the glory of Yahwehfilled the Temple of God.	14 cosicchè i sacerdoti non poterono rimanere a fare le loro funzioni per la caligine, poichè la gloria del Signore aveva riempita la casa di Dio.
