2 Chronicles 5

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 Thus all the work done by Solomon for the Temple of Yahweh was completed, and Solomon brought inthe gifts which his father David had consecrated; and he had the silver, the gold and all the utensils put into thetreasuries of the Temple of God.	1 και συνετελεσθη πασα η εργασια ην εποιησεν σαλωμων εν οικω κυριου και εισηνεγκεν σαλωμων τα αγια δαυιδ του πατρος αυτου το αργυριον και το χρυσιον και τα σκευη εδωκεν εις θησαυρον οικου κυριου
2 Solomon then assembled the elders of Israel to Jerusalem, al the tribal chiefs, the princes of thefamilies of Israel, to bring the ark of the covenant of Yahweh up from the City of David, that is, Zion.	2 τοτε εξεκκλησιασεν σαλωμων τους πρεσβυτερους ισραηλ και παντας τους αρχοντας των φυλων τους ηγουμενους πατριων υιων ισραηλ εις ιερουσαλημ του ανενεγκαι κιβωτον διαθηκης κυριου εκ πολεως δαυιδ αυτη σιων
3 Al the men of Israel assembled round the king at the time of the feast, that is, in the seventh month.	3 και εξεκκλησιασθησαν προς τον βασιλεα πας ανηρ ισραηλ εν τη εορτη ουτος ο μην εβδομος
4 When all the elders of Israel had arrived, the Levites took up the ark;	4 και ηλθον παντες οι πρεσβυτεροι ισραηλ και ελαβον παντες οι λευιται την κιβωτον
5 they brought up the ark and the Tent of Meeting and al the sacred utensils which were in the Tent; thelevitical priests brought them up.	5 και ανηνεγκαν την κιβωτον και την σκηνην του μαρτυριου και παντα τα σκευη τα αγια τα εν τη σκηνη και ανηνεγκαν αυτην οι ιερεις και οι λευιται
6 King Solomon and the whole assembly of Israel present with him before the ark sacrificed countless,innumerable sheep and oxen.	6 και ο βασιλευς σαλωμων και πασα συναγωγη ισραηλ και οι φοβουμενοι και οι επισυνηγμενοι αυτων εμπροσθεν της κιβωτου θυοντες μοσχους και προβατα οι ουκ αριθμηθησονται και οι ου λογισθησονται απο του πληθους
7 The priests brought the ark of the covenant of Yahweh to its place, in the Debir of the Temple, that is, inthe Holy of Holies, under the wings of the winged creatures;	7 και εισηνεγκαν οι ιερεις την κιβωτον διαθηκης κυριου εις τον τοπον αυτης εις το δαβιρ του οικου εις τα αγια των αγιων υποκατω των πτερυγων των χερουβιν
8 for they spread their wings over the place where the ark stood, forming a canopy over the ark and itsshafts.	8 και ην τα χερουβιν διαπεπετακοτα τας πτερυγας αυτων επι τον τοπον της κιβωτου και συνεκαλυπτεν τα χερουβιν επι την κιβωτον και επι τους αναφορεις αυτης επανωθεν
9 The shafts were so long, however, that the ends of the shafts of the ark could be seen in front of theHoly Place in front of the Debir, though they could not be seen from outside. They are still there today.	9 και υπερειχον οι αναφορεις και εβλεποντο αι κεφαλαι των αναφορεων εκ των αγιων εις προσωπον του δαβιρ ουκ εβλεποντο εξω και ησαν εκει εως της ημερας ταυτης
10 There was nothing in the ark except the two tablets which Moses had placed in it at Horeb, whenYahweh made a covenant with the Israelites when they came out of Egypt.	10 ουκ ην εν τη κιβωτω πλην δυο πλακες ας εθηκεν μωυσης εν χωρηβ α διεθετο κυριος μετα των υιων ισραηλ εν τω εξελθειν αυτους εκ γης αιγυπτου
11 Now when the priests came out of the Holy Place -- for al the priests present had sanctifiedthemselves regardless of the orders to which they belonged,	11 και εγενετο εν τω εξελθειν τους ιερεις εκ των αγιων οτι παντες οι ιερεις οι ευρεθεντες ηγιασθησαν ουκ ησαν διατεταγμενοι κατ' εφημεριαν
12 and al the levitical singers, Asaph, Heman and Jeduthun with their sons and brothers, dressed inlinen, were standing to the east of the altar with cymbals, lyres and harps and with them one hundred and twentypriests blowing the trumpets,	12 και οι λευιται οι ψαλτωδοι παντες τοις υιοις ασαφ τω αιμαν τω ιδιθουν και τοις υιοις αυτων και τοις αδελφοις αυτων των ενδεδυμενων στολας βυσσινας εν κυμβαλοις και εν ναβλαις και εν κινυραις εστηκοτες κατεναντι του θυσιαστηριου και μετ' αυτων ιερεις εκατον εικοσι σαλπιζοντες ταις σαλπιγξιν
13 and the harmony between trumpeters and singers was such that only one melody could be heard asthey praised and gave thanks to Yahweh -- and the singing began, to the accompaniment of trumpets, cymbalsand musical instruments, and they praised Yahweh 'for he is good, for his faithful love is everlasting' -- then theTemple was fil ed with the cloud of the glory of Yahweh,	13 και εγενετο μια φωνη εν τω σαλπιζειν και εν τω ψαλτωδειν και εν τω αναφωνειν φωνη μια του εξομολογεισθαι και αινειν τω κυριω και ως υψωσαν φωνην εν σαλπιγξιν και εν κυμβαλοις και εν οργανοις των ωδων και ελεγον εξομολογεισθε τω κυριω οτι αγαθον οτι εις τον αιωνα το ελεος αυτου και ο οικος ενεπλησθη νεφελης δοξης κυριου
14 and because of the cloud the priests could not stay and perform their duties. For the glory of Yahwehfilled the Temple of God.	14 και ουκ ηδυναντο οι ιερεις του στηναι λειτουργειν απο προσωπου της νεφελης οτι ενεπλησεν δοξα κυριου τον οικον του θεου
