2 Chronicles 31

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 When al this was complete, al Israel present went out to the towns of Judah, broke the pil ars, cutdown the sacred poles, wrecked the high places and the altars, and did away with them entirely throughoutJudah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. Then al the Israelites returned to their towns, everyone to hisproperty.	1 Terminado todo esto, salieron todos los israelitas que se hallaban presentes a recorrer las ciudades de Judá; y rompieron las estelas, abatieron los cipos y derribaron los altos y los altares en todo Judá y Benjamín, y también en Efraím y Manasés, hasta acabar con ellos. Después volvieron todos los hijos de Israel, cada cual a su propiedad, a sus ciudades.
2 Hezekiah re-established the priestly and levitical orders, each man in his proper order according to hisduties, whether priest or Levite, to bring burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, to serve and to give thanksand praise within the gates of Yahweh's camp.	2 Ezequías restableció las clases de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, cada uno en su sección, según su servicio, ya fuera sacerdote, ya levita, ya se tratara de holocaustos y sacrificios de comunión, ya de servicio litúrgico, acción de gracias o himnos, en las puertas del campamento de Yahveh.
3 He also established a king's portion from his possessions for the morning and evening burnt offerings,and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, New Moons and festivals, as laid down in the Law of Yahweh.	3 Destinó el rey una parte de su hacienda para los holocaustos, holocaustos de la mañana y de la tarde y holocaustos de los sábados, de los novilunios y de las solemnidades, según lo escrito en la Ley de Yahveh.
4 He furthermore requested the people living in Jerusalem to present the portion for the priests andLevites so that they might devote themselves to the Law of Yahweh.	4 Mandó al pueblo que habitaba en Jerusalén que entregase la parte de los sacerdotes y levitas a fin de que pudiesen perseverar en la Ley de Yahveh.
5 As soon as the order had been promulgated, the Israelites provided the first fruits of grain, new wine,olive oil, honey and every other kind of agricultural produce in abundance; they brought in an abundant tithe ofeverything.	5 Cuando se divulgó esta disposición, los israelitas trajeron en abundancia las primicias del trigo, del vino, del aceite y de la miel y de todos los productos del campo; presentaron igualmente el diezmo de todo en abundancia.
6 The Israelites and Judaeans living in the towns of Judah also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep,and the tithe of sacred gifts consecrated to Yahweh their God, laying them in heaps.	6 Los hijos de Israel y de Judá que habitaban en las ciudades de Judá trajeron también el diezmo del ganado mayor y menor y el diezmo de las cosas sagradas consagradas a Yahveh, su Dios, y lo distribuyeron por montones.
7 They began accumulating the heaps in the third month and had finished them by the seventh.	7 En el mes tercero comenzaron a apilar los montones y terminaron el mes séptimo.
8 When Hezekiah and the officials came to inspect the heaps they praised Yahweh and his peopleIsrael.	8 Vinieron Ezequías y los jefes a ver los montones y bendijeron a Yahveh y a su pueblo Israel.
9 While Hezekiah was questioning the priests and Levites about the heaps,	9 Cuando Ezequías preguntó a los sacerdotes y a los levitas acerca de los montones,
10 Azariah, the chief priest, of the family of Zadok, replied as fol ows, 'Since they began bringing thecontributions to the Temple of Yahweh,' he said, 'we have had enough to eat and quantities left over, for Yahwehhas blessed his people; this mass of stuff is left.'	10 respondió el sumo sacerdote Azarías, de la casa de Sadoq, y dijo: «Desde que se comenzaron a traer las ofrendas reservadas a la Casa de Yahveh, hemos comido y nos hemos saciado, y aún sobra muchísimo, porque Yahveh ha bendecido a su pueblo; y esta gran cantidad es lo que sobra».
11 Hezekiah then ordered them to have storerooms prepared in the Temple of Yahweh and, when theyhad got them ready,	11 Entonces mandó Ezequías que se preparasen salas en la Casa de Yahveh. Las prepararon,
12 they conscientiously brought in the contributions, tithes and consecrated gifts, Conaniah the Levitewas put in charge of them, with Shimei his brother as his assistant,	12 y metieron allí en lugar seguro las ofrendas reservadas, los diezmos y las cosas consagradas. El levita Konanías fue nombrado intendente, y Simí, hermano suyo, era el segundo.
13 and with Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jeremith, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiahas overseers under Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by order of King Hezekiah and of Azariah, the chief of theTemple of God.	13 Yejiel, Azazías, Najat, Asahel, Yerimot, Yozabad, Eliel, Jismakías, Májat y Benaías eran inspectores, a las órdenes de Konanías y de Simí, su hermano, bajo la vigilancia del rey Ezequías y de Azarías, príncipe de la Casa de Dios.
14 Kore son of Jimnah the Levite, keeper of the eastern gate, was made responsible for the voluntaryofferings to God and for providing the portion set aside for Yahweh and the most holy gifts.	14 El levita Qoré, hijo de Yimná, portero de la puerta oriental, estaba encargado de las ofrendas voluntarias hechas a Dios, y de repartir la ofrenda reservada a Yahveh y las cosas sacratísimas.
15 Supporting him loyal y in the priestly towns were Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah andShechaniah, who made the distributions to their brothers in their various orders, whether high or low,	15 En las ciudades sacerdotales estaban permanentemente bajo sus órdenes Eden, Minyamín, Yesúa, Semaías, Amarías y Sekanías, para repartir a sus hermanos, así grandes como chicos, según sus clases,
16 irrespective of their official genealogy, to the males of thirty years and upwards -- to each one whoattended the Temple of Yahweh to fulfil his daily obligations -- for the performance of their duties appropriate totheir orders:	16 dejando aparte a los hombres de treinta años para arriba, inscritos en las genealogías, a todos los que entraban en la Casa de Yahveh, según la tarea de cada día, para cumplir los servicios de su ministerio, conforme a sus clases.
17 the priests being registered according to family and the Levites of twenty years and upwardsaccording to their duties within their orders.	17 Los sacerdotes estaban inscritos en las genealogías, conforme a sus casas paternas, igual que los levitas, desde los veinte años en adelante, según sus obligaciones y sus clases.
18 And the official genealogy included all their household, their wives, their sons and their daughters,throughout the community, since these men were obliged to keep sanctifying themselves anew.	18 Estaban también inscritos en las genealogías todos sus niños, sus mujeres, sus hijos y sus hijas, de toda la asamblea, porque se santificaban fielmente por medio de las cosas sagradas.
19 The Aaronite priests who lived on the pasture lands belonging to their towns, had men named inevery town to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to everyone included in the officialgenealogy of the Levites.	19 Para los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón, que vivían en el campo, en los ejidos de sus ciudades, había en cada ciudad hombres designados nominalmente, para dar las porciones a todos los varones de los sacerdotes, y a todos los levitas inscritos en las genealogías.
20 Hezekiah did this throughout all Judah. He did what Yahweh his God regards as good and right andloyal.	20 Esto hizo Ezequías en todo Judá haciendo lo bueno y recto y verdadero ante Yahveh su Dios.
21 Everything that he undertook, whether in the service of the Temple of God or in connection with thelaw or the commandments, he did in absolute devotion to his God, and so succeeded.	21 Todas las obras que emprendió en servicio de la Casa de Dios, la Ley y los mandamientos, las hizo buscando a su Dios con todo su corazón y tuvo éxito.
