NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 These are the men who rallied to David at Ziklag while he was stil being kept away from Saul son ofKish; they were among the champions, the warriors.	1 وهؤلاء هم الذين جاءوا الى داود الى صقلغ وهو بعد محجوز عن وجه شاول بن قيس وهم من الابطال مساعدون في الحرب
2 They were equipped with bows and could sling stones or shoot arrows from the bow with either righthand or left. Of Saul's fellow-tribesmen from Benjamin:	2 نازعون في القسي يرمون الحجارة والسهام من القسي باليمين واليسار من اخوة شاول من بنيامين.
3 Ahiezer the leader, and Joash, sons of Hassemar of Gibeah, Jeziel and Peleth, sons of Azmaveth,Berachah and Jehu of Anathoth,	3 الراس اخيعزر ثم يوآش ابنا شماعة الجبعي ويزوئيل وفالط ابنا عزموت وبراخة وياهو العناثوثي
4 Ishmaiah of Gibeon, one of the champions in the Thirty and commander of the Thirty,	4 ويشمعيا الجبعوني البطل بين الثلاثين وعلى الثلاثين ويرميا ويحزيئيل ويوحانان ويوزاباد الجديري
5 Jeremiah, Jahaziel, Johanan and Jozabed of Gederoth,	5 وإلعوزاي ويريموث وبعليا وشمريا وشفطيا الحروفي
6 Eluzai, Jerimoth, Bealiah, Shemariah, Shephatiah of Hariph,	6 والقانة ويشيا وعزرئيل ويوعزر ويشبعام القورحيون
7 Elkanah, Isshiah, Azarel, Joezer and Jashobeam the Korahites,	7 ويوعيلة وزبديا ابنا يروحام من جدور.
8 Joelah, Zebadiah, sons of Jeroham of Gedor.	8 ومن الجاديين انفصل الى داود الى الحصن في البرية جبابرة البأس رجال جيش للحرب صافّو اتراس ورماح وجوههم كوجوه الأسود وهم كالظبي على الجبال في السرعة
9 From the Gadites, some good, capable fighting men defected and came to David at the stronghold inthe desert -- al skil ed with shield and spear, fierce as lions and nimble as mountain gazel es.	9 عازر الراس وعوبديا الثاني واليآب الثالث
10 Ezer was the leader, Obadiah second, Eliab third,	10 ومشمنّة الرابع ويرميا الخامس
11 Mishmannah fourth, Jeremiah fifth,	11 وعتّاي السادس وايليئيل السابع
12 Attai sixth, Eliel seventh,	12 ويوحانان الثامن والزاباد التاسع
13 Johanan eighth, Elzabad ninth,	13 ويرميا العاشر ومخبنّاي الحادي عشر.
14 Jeremiah tenth, Machbannai eleventh.	14 هؤلاء من بني جاد رؤوس الجيش. صغيرهم لمئة والكبير لالف.
15 These Gadites were the leaders of the troops, the least of them a match for a hundred men and thegreatest a match for a thousand.	15 هؤلاء هم الذين عبروا الاردن في الشهر الاول وهو ممتلئ الى جميع شطوطه وهزموا كل اهل الاودية شرقا وغربا
16 These were the men who once crossed the Jordan in the first month, when it had overflowed itsbanks and had driven out al the lowlanders to east and west.	16 وجاء قوم من بني بنيامين ويهوذا الى الحصن الى داود.
17 Some of the Benjaminites and Judahites also joined David at the stronghold.	17 فخرج داود لاستقبالهم واجاب وقال لهم ان كنتم قد جئتم بسلام اليّ لتساعدوني يكون لي معكم قلب واحد. وان كان لكي تدفعوني لعدوّي ولا ظلم في يدي فلينظر اله آبائنا وينصف.
18 When David came forward to meet them, he responded to them by saying, 'If you have come to mewith peaceful intent to help me, you will find me a good friend. But if it is to betray me to my enemies, seeing thatI have done nothing wrong, may the God of our ancestors take note and condemn you.'	18 فحلّ الروح على عماساي راس الثوالث فقال لك نحن يا داود ومعك نحن يا ابن يسّى. سلام سلام لك وسلام لمساعديك. لان الهك معينك. فقبلهم داود وجعلهم رؤوس الجيوش.
19 Then the Spirit invested Amasai the leader of the Thirty: 'We are your men, David; with you, son ofJesse! Peace be with you, peace be with you; peace be with those who help you! For your God has helped you!'And David accepted them, including them among his more senior officers.	19 وسقط الى داود بعض من منسّى حين جاء مع الفلسطينيين ضد شاول للقتال ولم يساعدوهم. لان اقطاب الفلسطينيين ارسلوه بمشورة قائلين انما برؤوسنا يسقط الى سيده شاول.
20 Some Manassehites also defected to David as he was setting out with the Philistines to fight Saul.But he did not help the Philistines because, after consultation, their chiefs sent him away, saying, 'He wil defectto his master Saul and it wil cost us our heads!'	20 حين انطلق الى صقلغ سقط اليه من منسّى عدناح ويوزاباد ويديعيئيل وميخائيل ويوزاباد واليهو وصلتاي رؤوس الوف منسّى.
21 He was on his way to Ziklag when these Manassehites deserted to him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael,Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, Zil ethai, chiefs of thousands in Manasseh.	21 وهم ساعدوا داود على الغزاة لانهم جميعا جبابرة بأس وكانوا رؤساء في الجيش.
22 They helped David and his band, since they were al men of standing and became officers in thearmy.	22 لانه وقتئذ اتى اناس الى داود يوما فيوما لمساعدته حتى صاروا جيشا عظيما كجيش الله
23 Indeed reinforcements reached David day after day, so that his camp grew into a camp of prodigioussize.	23 وهذا عدد رؤوس المتجردين للقتال الذين جاءوا الى داود الى حبرون ليحوّلوا مملكة شاول اليه حسب قول الرب.
24 These are the numbers of ful y armed men who joined David at Hebron to transfer Saul's kingdom tohim in accordance with the order of Yahweh:	24 بنو يهوذا حاملو الاتراس والرماح ستة آلاف وثمان مئة متجرد للقتال.
25 Judahites carrying shield and spear: six thousand eight hundred ful y armed warriors;	25 من بني شمعون جبابرة بأس في الحرب سبعة آلاف ومئة.
26 Simeonites; seven thousand one hundred champions valiant in war;	26 من بني لاوي اربعة آلاف وست مئة.
27 Levites: four thousand six hundred,	27 ويهوياداع رئيس الهرونيين ومعه ثلاثة آلاف وسبع مئة.
28 in addition to Jehoiada, in command of the Aaronites, with three thousand seven hundred of these,	28 وصادوق غلام جبار بأس وبيت ابيه اثنان وعشرون قائدا.
29 Zadok, a young and valiant champion, and twenty-two commanders of his family;	29 ومن بني بنيامين اخوة شاول ثلاثة آلاف والى هنا كان اكثرهم يحرسون حراسة بيت شاول.
30 Benjaminites: three thousand kinsmen of Saul, most of them hitherto in the service of the House ofSaul;	30 ومن بني افرايم عشرون الفا وثمان مئة جبابرة بأس وذوو اسم في بيوت آبائهم.
31 Ephraimites: twenty thousand eight hundred valiant champions, men famous in their families;	31 ومن نصف سبط منسّى ثمانية عشر الفا قد تعيّنوا باسمائهم لكي ياتوا ويملّكوا داود.
32 of the half-tribe of Manasseh: eighteen thousand men assigned by name to go and proclaim Davidking;	32 ومن بني يساكر الخبيرين بالاوقات لمعرفة ما يعمل اسرائيل رؤوسهم مئتان وكل اخوتهم تحت امرهم.
33 Issacharites, sound judges of the times when Israel should take action, and the way to do it: twohundred chiefs and al their kinsmen under their command;	33 من زبولون الخارجون للقتال المصطفون للحرب بجميع ادوات الحرب خمسون الفا وللاصطفاف من دون خلاف.
34 Zebulunites: fifty thousand men fit for service, marshalled for battle, with warlike weapons of everykind, staunch-hearted auxiliaries;	34 ومن نفتالي الف رئيس ومعهم سبعة وثلاثون الفا بالاتراس والرماح.
35 Naphtalites: a thousand commanders, and with them thirty-seven thousand men armed with shieldand spear;	35 ومن الدانيين مصطفون للحرب ثمانية وعشرون الفا وست مئة.
36 Danites: twenty-eight thousand six hundred men marshal ed for battle;	36 ومن اشير الخارجون للجيش لاجل الاصطفاف للحرب اربعون الفا.
37 Asherites: forty thousand men fit for service, marshalled for battle;	37 ومن عبر الاردن من الرأوبينيين والجاديين ونصف سبط منسّى بجميع ادوات جيش الحرب مئة وعشرون الفا.
38 from Transjordan: a hundred and twenty thousand men of Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe ofManasseh, with warlike weapons of every kind.	38 كل هؤلاء رجال حرب يصطفون صفوفا اتوا بقلب تام الى حبرون ليملّكوا داود على كل اسرائيل. وكذلك كل بقية اسرائيل بقلب واحد لتمليك داود.
39 Al these warriors in battle array came to David at Hebron with the firm determination of makingDavid king of al Israel; and the rest of Israel, too, was of one mind in wanting to make David king.	39 وكانوا هناك مع داود ثلاثة ايام يأكلون ويشربون لان اخوتهم اعدّوا لهم.
40 For three days they stayed there with David, eating and drinking, their fellow-tribesmen having madepreparations for them;	40 وكذلك القريبون منهم حتى يساكر وزبولون ونفتالي كانوا ياتون بخبز على الحمير والجمال والبغال والبقر وبطعام من دقيق وتين وزبيب وخمر وزيت وبقر وغنم بكثرة لانه كان فرح في اسرائيل
41 their neighbours too, from as far away as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, came bringing food ondonkeys, camels, mules and oxen-supplies of flour, fig cakes, bunches of raisins, wine, oil, quantities of oxenand sheep -- for there was joy in Israel.
