1 These are the men who rallied to David at Ziklag while he was stil being kept away from Saul son ofKish; they were among the champions, the warriors.	1 A következők mentek Dávidhoz Szikelegbe, amikor még bujdosott Saul, Kís fia elől. Ezek igen vitéz és kiváló harcosok,
2 They were equipped with bows and could sling stones or shoot arrows from the bow with either righthand or left. Of Saul's fellow-tribesmen from Benjamin:	2 íjászok, mindkét kézzel követ hajítani tudó parittyások és nyilasok voltak. Benjaminból, Saul testvérei közül:

18 When David came forward to meet them, he responded to them by saying, 'If you have come to mewith peaceful intent to help me, you will find me a good friend. 19 Then the Spirit invested Amasai the leader of the Thirty: 'We are your men, David; with you, son ofJesse! Peace be with you, peace be with you; peace be with those who help you! For your God has helped you!'And David accepted them, including them among his more senior officers.	19 Erre megszállta a lélek Amaszájt, a harmincnak a vezérét és azt mondta: »Tieid vagyunk, Dávid, és veled tartunk Izáj fia; béke, béke neked és béke segítőidnek, mert megsegít téged a te Istened.« Erre Dávid befogadta őket és vezérekké tette a seregben.
20 Some Manassehites also defected to David as he was setting out with the Philistines to fight Saul.But he did not help the Philistines because, after consultation, their chiefs sent him away, saying, 'He wil defectto his master Saul and it wil cost us our heads!'	20 Manasszéból is átszöktek néhányan Dávidhoz, amikor ő a filiszteusokkal Saul ellen hadba vonult, de nem harcolt velük – mert a filiszteusok fejedelmei tanácsot tartottak s visszaküldték őt, mondván: »Fejünk árán akar visszatérni urához, Saulhoz« –,
21 He was on his way to Ziklag when these Manassehites deserted to him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael,Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, Zil ethai, chiefs of thousands in Manasseh.	21 hanem visszatért Szikelegbe. Ekkor szöktek át hozzá Manasszéból: Adnah, Jozabád, Jedjaél, Mikaél, Jozabád, Eliú és Szaláti, a manasszei ezrek vezetői.
22 They helped David and his band, since they were al men of standing and became officers in thearmy.	22 Ezek segítséget nyújtottak Dávidnak a rablók ellen, – mert mindannyian igen vitéz emberek voltak – s vezérek lettek a seregben.
23 Indeed reinforcements reached David day after day, so that his camp grew into a camp of prodigioussize.	23 Egyébként napról-napra jöttek emberek Dávidhoz, hogy segítségére legyenek, végül is akkora lett a számuk, mint az Isten seregéé.
24 These are the numbers of ful y armed men who joined David at Hebron to transfer Saul's kingdom tohim in accordance with the order of Yahweh:	24 A következő volt azoknak a hadvezéreknek a száma, akik Dávidhoz mentek, amikor Hebronban volt, hogy ráruházzák Saul királyságát, az Úr szava szerint:

30 Benjaminites: three thousand kinsmen of Saul, most of them hitherto in the service of the House ofSaul;	30 Benjamin fiai, Saul testvérei közül: háromezer ember, nagyrészük ugyanis még Saul házát követte.
31 Ephraimites: twenty thousand eight hundred valiant champions, men famous in their families;	31 Efraim fiai közül húszezer-nyolcszáz igen vitéz, nemzetségében neves ember.
32 of the half-tribe of Manasseh: eighteen thousand men assigned by name to go and proclaim Davidking;	32 Manassze fél törzséből tizennyolcezer, név szerint ismert ember ment, hogy királlyá tegye Dávidot,
33 Issacharites, sound judges of the times when Israel should take action, and the way to do it: twohundred chiefs and al their kinsmen under their command;	33 Isszakár fiai közül pedig kétszáz tapasztalt vezér, aki minden időben meg tudta mondani, hogy mit kell tennie Izraelnek, s akinek tanácsát valamennyi többi nemzetség követte.
34 Zebulunites: fifty thousand men fit for service, marshalled for battle, with warlike weapons of everykind, staunch-hearted auxiliaries;	34 Zebulon fiai közül ötvenezer hadba vonuló, a hadban hadiszerszámokkal felszerelve álló ember jött segítségül, nem kettős szívvel.
35 Naphtalites: a thousand commanders, and with them thirty-seven thousand men armed with shieldand spear;	35 Naftaliból ezer vezér és velük harminchétezer, pajzzsal és dárdával felszerelt ember.
36 Danites: twenty-eight thousand six hundred men marshal ed for battle;	36 Dánból huszonnyolcezer-hatszáz, harcra felkészült ember.
37 Asherites: forty thousand men fit for service, marshalled for battle;	37 Áserből negyvenezer hadba vonuló, s a hadban támadó ember.
38 from Transjordan: a hundred and twenty thousand men of Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe ofManasseh, with warlike weapons of every kind.	38 A Jordánon túlról Rúben és Gád fiaiból s Manassze törzsének feléből százhúszezer, hadiszerszámokkal felszerelt ember.
39 Al these warriors in battle array came to David at Hebron with the firm determination of makingDavid king of al Israel; and the rest of Israel, too, was of one mind in wanting to make David king.	39 Ezek a harcra felkészült harcosok teljes szívvel jöttek Hebronba, hogy Dávidot egész Izrael királyává tegyék: de a többi izraelita is mind egy szívvel azon volt, hogy Dávid legyen a király.
40 For three days they stayed there with David, eating and drinking, their fellow-tribesmen having madepreparations for them;	40 Három napig voltak ott Dávidnál, s ettek és ittak, mert testvéreik ellátták őket,
41 their neighbours too, from as far away as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, came bringing food ondonkeys, camels, mules and oxen-supplies of flour, fig cakes, bunches of raisins, wine, oil, quantities of oxenand sheep -- for there was joy in Israel.	41 de meg azok is, akik a szomszédságukban voltak, egészen Isszakárig, Zebulonig és Naftaliig, hoztak szamarakon, tevéken, öszvéreken és marhákon ennivalót: lisztet, fügét, aszú szőlőt, bort, olajat, marhát s kost minden mennyiségben, mert öröm volt Izraelben.
