1 These are the men who rallied to David at Ziklag while he was stil being kept away from Saul son ofKish; they were among the champions, the warriors.	1 Estos son los que vinieron donde David, a Siquelag, cuando estaba retenido lejos de Saúl, hijo de Quis. 18 When David came forward to meet them, he responded to them by saying, 'If you have come to mewith peaceful intent to help me, you will find me a good friend. But if it is to betray me to my enemies, seeing thatI have done nothing wrong, may the God of our ancestors take note and condemn you.'	18 Presentóse David delante de ellos y les dijo: «Si venís a mí en son de paz para ayudarme, mi corazón irá a una con vosotros; pero si es para engañanarme en favor de mis enemigos, sin que hubiere violencia en mis manos, ¡véalo el Dios de nuestros padres y lo castigue!»
19 Then the Spirit invested Amasai the leader of the Thirty: 'We are your men, David; with you, son ofJesse! Peace be with you, peace be with you; peace be with those who help you! For your God has helped you!'And David accepted them, including them among his more senior officers.	19 Entonces el espíritu revistió a Amasay, jefe de los Treinta: «¡A ti, David! ¡Contigo, hijo de Jesé! ¡Paz, paz a ti! ¡Y paz a los que te ayuden, pues tu Dios te ayuda a ti!» David los recibió y los puso entre los jefes de las tropas.
20 Some Manassehites also defected to David as he was setting out with the Philistines to fight Saul.But he did not help the Philistines because, after consultation, their chiefs sent him away, saying, 'He wil defectto his master Saul and it wil cost us our heads!'	20 También de Manasés se pasaron algunos a David, cuando éste iba con los filisteos a la guerra contra Saúl, aunque no les ayudaron, porque los tiranos de los filisteos, habido consejo, le despidieron, diciendo: «Se pasará a Saúl, su señor, con nuestras cabezas».
21 He was on his way to Ziklag when these Manassehites deserted to him: Adnah, Jozabad, Jediael,Michael, Jozabad, Elihu, Zil ethai, chiefs of thousands in Manasseh.	21 Cuando regresó a Siquelag, pasáronse a él algunos de los hijos de Manasés: Adná, Yozabad, Yediel, Miguel, Yozabad, Elihú y Silletay, jefes de millares de Manasés.
22 They helped David and his band, since they were al men of standing and became officers in thearmy.	22 Estos ayudaron a David al frente de algunas partidas, pues todos eran hombres valientes y llegaron a ser jefes en el ejército.
23 Indeed reinforcements reached David day after day, so that his camp grew into a camp of prodigioussize.	23 Cada día, en efecto, acudía gente a David para ayudarle, hasta que el campamento llegó a ser grande, como un campamento de Dios.

26 Simeonites; seven thousand one hundred champions valiant in war;	26 De los hijos de Simeón, hombres valerosos para la guerra, 7.100.

28 in addition to Jehoiada, in command of the Aaronites, with three thousand seven hundred of these,	28 Yehoyadá, príncipe de los hijos de Aarón, con otros 3.700.

40 For three days they stayed there with David, eating and drinking, their fellow-tribesmen having madepreparations for them;	40 Permanecieron allí con David tres días comiendo y bebiendo, porque sus hermanos les proveían.
41 their neighbours too, from as far away as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, came bringing food ondonkeys, camels, mules and oxen-supplies of flour, fig cakes, bunches of raisins, wine, oil, quantities of oxenand sheep -- for there was joy in Israel.	41 Además, los que estaban cerca y hasta de Isacar, Zabulón y Neftalí traían víveres en asnos, camellos, mulos y bueyes; provisiones de harina, tortas de higos y pasas, vino, aceite, ganado mayor y menor en abundancia; pues reinaba la alegría en Israel.
