1 As regards his palace, Solomon spent thirteen years on it before the building was completed.	1 E fabbrico' Salomone, e compì interamente in tredici anni la sua propria casa.

6 He also made the Colonnade, fifty cubits long and thirty cubits broad, with a cornice in front.	6 E fece un portico di colonne avente cinquanta cubiti di lunghezza, e trenta cubiti di larghezza: e un altro por­tico in faccia al portico più grande, con colonne, e architravi sopra le co­lonne.
7 He also made the Hal of the Throne where he used to dispense justice, that is, the Hal of Justice; it waspanel ed in cedar from floor to beams.	7 Fece ancora il portico del trono, e lo vestì di legno di cedro dal pavimento fino alla sommità.
8 His own living quarters, in the other court and inwards from the Hal , were of the same construction. Andthere was a house similar to this Hal for Pharaoh's daughter whom he had taken in marriage.	8 E la tribuna, dove sì risedeva per render ragione, era nel mezzo del por­tico, ed era di simil lavoro. 9 Al these buildings were of special stones cut to measure, trimmed on the inner and outer sides with thesaw, from the foundations to the coping-	9 Tutte (queste fabbriche) dalle fon­damenta sino alla cima delle muraglie, e al di fuori sino all'atrio maggiore erano di pietre di molto pregio, le quali tanto dalla parte interiore, come dall'esteriore erano state segate in pari for­ma, e misura.
10 the foundations were of special stones, huge stones, of ten and eight cubits,	10 E le fondamenta eran di pietre di molto pregio, di pietre grandi di dieci, ovvero di otto cubiti.
11 and, above these, special stones, cut to measure, and cedar wood-	11 E al di sopra erano pietre di molto pregio tagliate ad egual misura, e pari­mente coperte di cedro.
12 and, on the outside, the great court had three courses of dressed stone round it and one course ofcedar beams; so also had the inner court of the Temple of Yahweh and the vestibule of the Temple.	12 E l'atrio maggiore rotondo avea tre ordini di pietre tagliate, e un ordine di cedro lavorato: e così pure era dell'atrio interiore della casa del Signore, e del portico di essa casa.
13 King Solomon sent for Hiram of Tyre;	13 E il re Salomone fece ancora ve­nir da Tiro Hiram,
14 he was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, but his father had been a Tyrian, a bronzeworker.He was a highly intel igent craftsman, skil ed in al types of bronzework. He came to King Solomon and did althis work for him.	14 Che era figliuolo di una donna vedova della tribù di Nephthali, di pa­dre della città di Tirò; ed era un lavo­ratore di bronzi pieno di saggezza, di capacità, e d'industria per fare qua­lunque opera in bronzo. Ed egli es­sendo venuto a trovare il re Salomone, fece tutto il lavoro, ch'ei volle.
15 He cast the two bronze pillars; the height of one pil ar was eighteen cubits, and a cord twelve cubitslong gave the measurement of its girth; so also was the second pil ar.	15 Ed egli fece due colonne di bronzo, ogni colonna alta diciotto cubiti: e una corda di dodici cubiti abbracciava cia­scuna colonna.
16 He made two capitals of cast bronze for the tops of the pil ars; the height of one capital was five cubits,and the height of the other five cubits.	16 Fece ancora i due capitelli di get­to in bronzo sulla cima delle colonne: un capitello avea cinque cubiti di altez­za, e l'altro capitello cinque cubiti di altezza:
17 He made two sets of filigree to cover the moulding of the two capitals surmounting the pil ars, onefiligree for one capital and one filigree for the other.	17 Ed eravi come una rete, e una catena conteste insieme tra di loro con mirabile artifizio. L'uno e l'altro ca­pitello delle colonne era di getto: sette filari di maglie erano nell'uno, e sette filari di maglie nell'altro capitello.
18 He also made pomegranates: two rows of them round each filigree,four hundred in al ,	18 E per compimento delle colonne fece due ordini di maglie, che circonda­vano, e coprivano i capitelli, le quali posavano in cima de' meligranati: fece la stessa cosa al secondo, e al primo capitello.
19 The capitals surrounding the pil ars were lily-shaped.	19 I capitelli, che erano in cima delle colonne nel portico, erano fatti a ma­niera di giglio, ed eran di quattro cu­biti.
20 applied on the raised moulding behind the filigree; there were two hundred pomegranates round onecapital and the same round the other capital.	20 E di più eranvi altri capitelli in cima alle colonne al di sopra della rete proporzionati alla misura della colon­na: e intorno al secondo (e al primo) capitello vi erano dugento meligranati posti per ordine,
21 He erected the pil ars in front of the portico of the Temple, he erected the right-hand pil ar and named itJachin; he erected the left-hand pil ar and named it Boaz.	21 E le due colonne le collocò nel portico del tempio: e quando ebbe al­zata la colonna destra, te diede il nome di Jachin, ed eretta parimente la secon­da, le pose nome Booz.
22 Thus, the work on the pillars was completed.	22 E sulle cime delle colonne pose quel lavoro fatto a maniera di giglio: e fu compita l'opera delle colonne.
23 He made the Sea of cast metal, ten cubits from rim to rim, circular in shape and five cubits high; a cordthirty cubits long gave the measurement of its girth.	23 Fece anche di getto una gran conca tutta rotonda, di dieci cubiti da un orlo all'altro. Ella avea cinque cu­biti di profondità, e una corda di trenta cubiti cingeva tutto il suo giro.
24 Under its rim and completely encircling it were gourds surrounding the Sea; over a length of thirtycubits the gourds were in two rows, of one and the same casting with the rest.	24 E sotto all'orlo un lavoro di scul­tura, che giravagli attorno per dieci cubiti, e cingeva la conca: I due or­dini di sculture di getto eran di ri­lievo.
25 It rested on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, three facing east; onthese, their hindquarters al turned inwards, stood the Sea.	25 E (la conca) posava sopra dodici bovi, de' quali tre guardavano a setten­trione, e tre ad occidente, e tre a mez­zodì, e tre ad oriente, e sopra di essi stava la conca, e tutte le parti deretane di quelli restavan sotto nascose.
26 It was a hand's breadth in thickness, and its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup, lily-shaped. It couldhold two thousand measures.	26 Questo lavacro avea tre once di grossezza, e il suo orlo era come l'orlo di una coppa, e come la foglia di un giglio sbocciato: ei capiva due mila bati.
27 He made the ten bronze stands; each stand was four cubits long, four cubits wide, and three high.	27 E fece dieci basi di bronzo, ognu­na delle quali era lunga quattro cubiti, e larga quattro cubiti, e alta tre cu­biti.
28 They were designed as fol ows; they had an undercarriage and crosspieces to the undercarriage.	28 E il lavoro delle basi era di più pezzi: e dove questi si incastravano in­sieme eranvi de lavori di scultura.
29 On the crosspieces of the undercarriage were lions and bul s and winged creatures, and on top of theundercarriage was a support; under the lions and oxen there were scrolls in the style of. . .	29 E tra piccole corone, e lacci, eran­vi lioni, e bovi, e Cherubini: e pari­mente sopra le commessure: e sotto ai lioni, e ai bovi eranvi quasi delle corde di bronzo pendenti.
30 Each stand had four bronze wheels with bronze axles; its four feet had shoulderings under the basin,and the shoulderings were cast. . .	30 E ogni base avea quattro ruote co' mozzi di bronzo, e a' quattro angoli eranvi sotto il lavacro certe quasi spal­lette di getto rivolte l'una verso l'altra.
31 Its mouth measured one and a half cubits from where the shoulderings met to the top; its mouth wasround like a stand for a vessel, and on the mouth there were engravings too; the crosspieces, however, wererectangular and not round.	31 Eravi anche in cima alle base in­teriormente la cavità per ricevere il la­vatoio: e quello, che ne appariva al di fuori per un cubito, era tutto rotondo, e avea ancora un cubito, e mezzo: e agli angoli delle colonne eranvi varie sculture: e lo spazio tralle colonne era quadrato, e non rotondo.
32 The four wheels were under the crosspieces. The axles of the wheels were inside the stands; theheight of the wheels was one and a half cubits.	32 E le quattro ruote, che erano ai quattro angoli della base, si corrispon­devano l'una all'altra sotto la base: e ogni ruota avea un cubito, e mezzo di altezza.
33 The wheels were designed like chariot wheels: their axles, felloes, spokes and naves had al been cast.	33 E le ruote erano come quelle, che soglion farsi ai cocchi, co' loro assi, e raggi, e cerchi, e mozzi, il tutto di getto.
34 There were four shoulderings at the four corners of each stand: the stand and the shoulderings were alof a piece.	34 Anzi anche le quattro spallette ai quattro angoli di ciascheduna base era­no congiunte con essa, e di un sol getto colla base.
35 At the top of the stand there was a support, circular in shape and half a cubit high; and on top of thestand there were lugs. The crosspieces were of a piece with the stand.	35 E in cima alla base era un lavoro rotondo alto mezzo cubito, e fatto in guisa da potervi metter sopra il lava­toio; e avea le sue cisellature, e scul­ture varie, che si staccavan da esso.
36 On the bands he engraved winged creatures and lions and palm leaves. . . and scrol s right round.	36 E sopra quelle tavole, che eran di bronzo, e ai loro angoli scolpì dei Che­rubini, e de' lioni, e delle palme (con tal'arte), che pareano non iscolpiti, ma posti tutto ali intorno, come una figura a' uomo, che sta in piedi.
37 He made the ten stands like this: the same casting and the same measurements for all.	37 In tal guisa fece egli le dieci basi di getto, della stessa fattura, e gran­dezza, e con simili sculture.
38 He made ten bronze basins; each basin held forty measures and each basin measured four cubits, onebasin to each of the ten stands.	38 Fece ancora i dieci lavatoi di bronzo: ogni lavatoio capiva quaranta bati, ed era di quattro cubiti: e posò un vaso sopra ciascuna delle dieci basi.
39 He arranged the stands, five on the right-hand side of the Temple, five on the left-hand side of theTemple; the Sea he placed on the right-hand side of the Temple, to the south east.	39 E collocò le dieci basi, cinque dal destro lato del tempio, e cinque dal lato sinistro: e la gran conca dalla parte del tempio tra levante, e mez­zodì.
40 Hiram made the ash containers, the scoops and the sprinkling bowls. He finished all the work that hedid for King Solomon on the Temple of Yahweh:	40 Fece ancora Hiram delle pignat­te, e delle caldaie, e de' bacini, e compì tutto quello, che il re Salomone gli or­dinò pel tempio del Signore.
41 Two pil ars; the two mouldings of the capitals surrounding the pil ars; the two sets of filigree to coverthe two mouldings of the capitals surmounting the pil ars;	41 Le due colonne, e i due cordoui sopra i capitelli delle colonne: e le due reti, che coprivano i due cordoni, che erano sulle cime delle colonne.
42 the four hundred pomegranates for the two sets of filigree -- two rows of pomegranates for each set offiligree;	42 E quattrocento melegranate nelle due reti: due ordini di melegranate per ogni rete, la quale copriva i cor­doni de' capitelli, che erano alle cime delle colonne:
43 the ten stands and the ten basins on the stands;	43 E le dieci basi, e le dieci conche sopra le basi:
44 the one Sea and the twelve oxen beneath the Sea;	44 E la gran conca, e i dodici bovi sotto la conca:
45 the ash containers, the scoops, and sprinkling bowls. All these objects made by Hiram for KingSolomon for the Temple of Yahweh were of burnished bronze.	45 E le pignatte, e le caldaie, e i bacini: tutti i vasi, che Hiram fece al re Salomone per servigio della casa del Signore, erano di bronzo fino.
46 He made them by the process of sand casting, in the plain of the Jordan between Succoth andZarethan.	46 Il re li fece fondere in una pianura del Giordano, in un terreno argilloso, tra Socoth, e Sarthan.
47 There were so many of them, that the weight of the bronze was never calculated.	47 E Salomone ripose tutti questi vasi: e attesa la eccedente loro molti­tudine fu indicibil peso di bronzo.
48 Solomon made all the objects designed for the Temple of Yahweh: the golden altar and the gold tablefor the loaves of permanent offering;	48 Fece ancor Salomone tutto quello, che dovea servire alla casa del Signo­re: l'altare d'oro, e la mensa d'oro, per porvi sopra i pani della proposi­zione.
49 the lamp-stands, five on the right and five on the left in front of the Debir, of pure gold; the floral work,the lamps, the tongs, of gold;	49 E i candelabri d'oro, cinque a destra, e cinque a sinistra dinanzi all'oracolo di fino oro: e come fiori di giglio, e le lucerne d'oro sopra (i candellier, e le smoccolatoie d'oro).
50 the basins, the snuffers, the sprinkling bowls, the incense ladles and the pans, of real gold; the doorpanels -- for the inner shrine -- that is, the Holy of Holies -- and for the Hekal, of gold.	50 E le idrie, e le forchette, e le coppe, e i mortai, e i turiboli d'oro finis­simo: e i cardini delle porte della casa interiore del Santo de Santi, e delle porte del tempio erano d'oro.
51 Thus al the work done by King Solomon for the Temple of Yahweh was completed, and Solomonbrought in the gifts which his father David had consecrated; and he had the silver, the gold and the utensils putinto the treasuries of the Temple of Yahweh.	51 E Salomone compì tutti i lavori fatti da lui per la casa del Signore, e vi portò l'argento, e l'oro, e i vasi consagrati da Davidde suo padre, e li ripose nel tesoro della casa del Si­gnore.
