1 As regards his palace, Solomon spent thirteen years on it before the building was completed.	1 Salomón edificó su casa, y en trece años la concluyó del todo.
2 He built the House of the Forest of Lebanon, a hundred cubits long, fifty cubits wide, and thirty cubitshigh, on four rows of cedar-wood pil ars,	2 Edificó la Casa «Bosque del Líbano», de cien codos de longitud, cincuenta codos de anchura y treinta codos de altura, sobre cuatro filas de columnas de cedro; había capiteles de cedro sobre las columnas.
3 with lengths of cedar wood laid horizontal y on the pil ars. The upper part was panel ed with cedar rightdown to the tie-beams on forty-five pillars, fifteen in each row.	3 Había un artesonado de cedro sobre la parte superior de las planchas que estaban sobre las columnas.
4 There were three rows of window-frames, with the windows corresponding to one another at threelevels.	4 Había tres filas de ventanas con celosías, 45 en total, quince por cada fila, y una daba frente a la otra tres veces.
5 Al the doorways and windows were rectangular, with the windows corresponding to one another atthree levels.	5 Todas las puertas y montantes eran cuadrangulares y una daba frente a la otra tres veces.
6 He also made the Colonnade, fifty cubits long and thirty cubits broad, with a cornice in front.	6 Hizo el Pórtico de las columnas de cincuenta codos de longitud, treinta codos de anchura... con un pórtico por delante.
7 He also made the Hal of the Throne where he used to dispense justice, that is, the Hal of Justice; it waspanel ed in cedar from floor to beams.	7 Hizo el Vestíbulo del trono donde administraba justicia, que es el Vestíbulo del Juicio; estaba recubierto de cedro desde el suelo hasta las vigas.
8 His own living quarters, in the other court and inwards from the Hal , were of the same construction. Andthere was a house similar to this Hal for Pharaoh's daughter whom he had taken in marriage.	8 La casa en que vivía en el otro recinto, el opuesto al Vestíbulo, tenía la misma configuración; hizo también una casa como este Vestíbulo para la hija de Faraón que Salomón había tomado por mujer.
9 Al these buildings were of special stones cut to measure, trimmed on the inner and outer sides with thesaw, from the foundations to the coping-	9 Todo esto era de piedras selectas, talladas a medida, serradas con sierra por dentro y por fuera, desde los cimientos hasta las cornisas.
10 the foundations were of special stones, huge stones, of ten and eight cubits,	10 El cimiento era de piedras excelentes, grandes piedras, unas de diez codos y otras de ocho;
11 and, above these, special stones, cut to measure, and cedar wood-	11 en la parte superior había piedras excelentes, talladas a medida, y cedro.
12 and, on the outside, the great court had three courses of dressed stone round it and one course ofcedar beams; so also had the inner court of the Temple of Yahweh and the vestibule of the Temple.	12 Al exterior, el patio grande tenía en derredor tres filas de piedras talladas y una fila de planchas de cedro, igual que el patio interior de la Casa de Yahveh y el vestíbulo de la Casa.
13 King Solomon sent for Hiram of Tyre;	13 El rey Salomón envió a buscar a Jiram de Tiro;
14 he was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, but his father had been a Tyrian, a bronzeworker.He was a highly intel igent craftsman, skil ed in al types of bronzework. He came to King Solomon and did althis work for him.	14 era hijo de una viuda de la tribu de Neftalí; su padre era de Tiro; trabajaba en bronce y estaba lleno de ciencia, pericia y experiencia para realizar todo trabajo en bronce; fue donde el rey Salomón y ejecutó todos sus trabajos.
15 He cast the two bronze pillars; the height of one pil ar was eighteen cubits, and a cord twelve cubitslong gave the measurement of its girth; so also was the second pil ar.	15 Fundió las dos columnas de bronce; la altura de una columna era de dieciocho codos, un hilo de doce codos medía la circunferencia; y lo mismo la segunda columna.
16 He made two capitals of cast bronze for the tops of the pil ars; the height of one capital was five cubits,and the height of the other five cubits.	16 Hizo dos capiteles fundidos en bronce para colocarlos sobre la cima de las columnas, de cinco codos de altura un capitel y de cinco codos de altura el capitel segundo.
17 He made two sets of filigree to cover the moulding of the two capitals surmounting the pil ars, onefiligree for one capital and one filigree for the other.	17 Hizo dos encajes y dos trenzados a modo de cadenas para los capiteles de la cima de las columnas, un trenzado para un capitel y otro trenzado para el capitel segundo.
18 He also made pomegranates: two rows of them round each filigree,four hundred in al ,	18 Hizo granadas: dos filas alrededor de cada trenzado,

21 He erected the pil ars in front of the portico of the Temple, he erected the right-hand pil ar and named itJachin; he erected the left-hand pil ar and named it Boaz.	21 Erigió las columnas ante el Ulam del Hekal; erigió la columna de la derecha y la llamó Yakín; erigió la columna de la izquierda y la llamó Boaz.
22 Thus, the work on the pillars was completed.	22 Y quedó acabado el trabajo de las columnas.
23 He made the Sea of cast metal, ten cubits from rim to rim, circular in shape and five cubits high; a cordthirty cubits long gave the measurement of its girth.	23 Hizo el Mar de metal fundido que tenía diez codos de borde a borde; era enteramente redondo, y de cinco codos de altura; un cordón de treinta codos medía su contorno.
24 Under its rim and completely encircling it were gourds surrounding the Sea; over a length of thirtycubits the gourds were in two rows, of one and the same casting with the rest.	24 Debajo del borde había calabazas todo en derredor; daban vuelta al Mar a largo de treinta codos; había dos filas de calabazas fundidas en una sola pieza.
25 It rested on twelve oxen, three facing north, three facing west, three facing south, three facing east; onthese, their hindquarters al turned inwards, stood the Sea.	25 Se apoyaba sobre doce bueyes, tres mirando al Norte, tres mirando al Oeste, tres mirando al Sur y tres mirando al Este; el Mar estaba sobre ellos, quedando sus partes traseras hacia el interior.
26 It was a hand's breadth in thickness, and its rim was shaped like the rim of a cup, lily-shaped. It couldhold two thousand measures.	26 Su espesor era de un palmo y su borde era como el borde del cáliz de la flor de la azucena. Contenía 2.000 medidas.
27 He made the ten bronze stands; each stand was four cubits long, four cubits wide, and three high.	27 Hizo también las diez basas de bronce de cuatro codos de largo cada basa, cuatro codos su anchura y tres su altura.
28 They were designed as fol ows; they had an undercarriage and crosspieces to the undercarriage.	28 Las basas estaban hechas así: tenían paneles y los paneles estaban entre listones.

33 The wheels were designed like chariot wheels: their axles, felloes, spokes and naves had al been cast.	33 La forma de las ruedas era como la forma de la rueda de un carro, y sus ejes, sus llantas, sus radios y sus cubos, todo era de fundición.
34 There were four shoulderings at the four corners of each stand: the stand and the shoulderings were alof a piece.	34 Había cuatro asas en los cuatro ángulos de cada basa; la basa formaba un cuerpo con su asa.
35 At the top of the stand there was a support, circular in shape and half a cubit high; and on top of thestand there were lugs. The crosspieces were of a piece with the stand.	35 En la cima de la basa había un soporte de medio codo de altura completamente redondo; y en la cima de la basa, los ejes y el armazón formaban un cuerpo con ella.
36 On the bands he engraved winged creatures and lions and palm leaves. . . and scrol s right round.	36 Grabó sobre las tablas querubines, leones y palmeras... y volutas alrededor.
37 He made the ten stands like this: the same casting and the same measurements for all.	37 De esta forma hizo las diez basas: una misma fundición y un mismo tamaño para todas.
38 He made ten bronze basins; each basin held forty measures and each basin measured four cubits, onebasin to each of the ten stands.	38 Hizo diez pilas de bronce de cuarenta medidas cada una; cada pila medía cuatro codos; había una pila sobre cada una de las diez basas.
39 He arranged the stands, five on the right-hand side of the Temple, five on the left-hand side of theTemple; the Sea he placed on the right-hand side of the Temple, to the south east.	39 Colocó las basas, cinco al lado derecho de la Casa y cinco al lado izquierdo de la Casa. El Mar lo colocó del lado derecho de la Casa hacia el sureste.
40 Hiram made the ash containers, the scoops and the sprinkling bowls. He finished all the work that hedid for King Solomon on the Temple of Yahweh:	40 Jiram hizo los ceniceros, las paletas y los acetres. Jiram terminó de hacer toda la obra que el rey Salomón le encargó que hiciera para la Casa de Yahveh:
41 Two pil ars; the two mouldings of the capitals surrounding the pil ars; the two sets of filigree to coverthe two mouldings of the capitals surmounting the pil ars;	41 dos columnas, las molduras de los capiteles que estaban sobre la cima de las dos columnas, los dos trenzados para recubrir las dos molduras de los capiteles que estaban en la cima de las columnas;

48 Solomon made all the objects designed for the Temple of Yahweh: the golden altar and the gold tablefor the loaves of permanent offering;	48 Puso Salomón todos los objetos que había hecho en la Casa de Yahveh; el altar de oro y la mesa de oro sobre la que se ponían los panes de la presencia;
49 the lamp-stands, five on the right and five on the left in front of the Debir, of pure gold; the floral work,the lamps, the tongs, of gold;	49 los candelabros de oro fino, cinco a la derecha y cinco a la izquierda delante del Debir; las flores, las lámparas y las despabiladeras de oro;
50 the basins, the snuffers, the sprinkling bowls, the incense ladles and the pans, of real gold; the doorpanels -- for the inner shrine -- that is, the Holy of Holies -- and for the Hekal, of gold.	50 las cucharas, los cuchillos, los acetres, las copas y los braseros de oro fino, los goznes de oro para las puertas de la cámara interior, el Santo de los Santos, y para las puertas de la Casa y el Hekal.
51 Thus al the work done by King Solomon for the Temple of Yahweh was completed, and Solomonbrought in the gifts which his father David had consecrated; and he had the silver, the gold and the utensils putinto the treasuries of the Temple of Yahweh.	51 Así fue concluida toda la obra que hizo el rey Salomón para la Casa de Yahveh; Salomón hizo traer todo lo consagrado por David su padre, la plata, el oro y los objetos, y lo puso en los tesoros de la Casa de Yahveh.
