1 Kings 6

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites came out of Egypt, in the fourth year ofSolomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, he began building the Temple ofYahweh.	1 Így történt, hogy Izrael fiainak Egyiptom földjéről való kivonulása után a négyszáznyolcvanadik esztendőben, Salamon Izraelen való uralkodásának negyedik esztendejében, a Zív hónapban (azaz a második hónapban) épülni kezdett a ház az Úrnak.
2 The temple which King Solomon built for Yahweh was sixty cubits long, twenty cubits wide and twenty-five high.	2 A háznak, amelyet Salamon király az Úrnak épített, hatvan könyök volt a hossza, húsz könyök a szélessége és harminc könyök a magassága.
3 The portico in front of the Hekal of the Temple was twenty cubits long across the width of the Templeand ten cubits wide along the length of the Temple.	3 A templom előtt egy előcsarnok volt, amely húsz könyöknyi hosszú volt, a templom szélességi méretével megegyezően, s tíz könyöknyi széles a templom előtt.
4 He made windows for the Temple with frames and latticework.	4 A templomra rézsútos ablakokat készíttetett,
5 He also built an annex against the Temple wal , right round the Hekal and Debir. He built lateral storeysal round;	5 körös-körül a templom falára, a ház falára pedig – a szentély körül is, meg a felelőhely körül is – emeleteket építtetett, s körös-körül melléktermeket készíttetett.
6 the lowest lateral storey was five cubits wide, the middle one six cubits, and the third seven cubits, for hehad made the outside of the Temple wal correspondingly stepped back al round, so that the annex was notattached to the Temple wal s.	6 A legalul levő emelet szélessége öt könyöknyi volt, a középső emelet szélessége pedig hat könyöknyi, amíg a harmadik emelet hét könyöknyi széles volt; a gerendákat körös-körül kívülről helyeztette a házra, hogy ne nyúljanak be a templom falába.
7 (The building of the Temple was done with quarry -- dressed stone; no sound of hammer or pick or anyiron tool was to be heard in the Temple while it was being built.)	7 Az építésnél a házat kifaragott s kész kövekből építették, úgyhogy sem kalapács, sem fejsze, sem egyéb vasszerszám zaja nem hallatszott a házban, amikor épült.
8 The entrance to the lowest storey was at the right-hand corner of the Temple; access to the middlestorey was by a spiral staircase, and so from the middle storey to the third.	8 A melléképítmény ajtaja középen, a ház jobb oldalán volt, s onnan csigalépcső vitt fel a középső emeletre, s a középsőből a harmadikra.
9 Having finished building the Temple, he roofed the Temple with a coffered ceiling of cedar wood.	9 Amikor a házat teljesen felépíttette, befedette a házat cédrusfa mennyezettel,
10 Round the outside of the Temple he then built the annex which was five cubits high and was joined tothe Temple by cedar-wood beams.	10 s felépíttette az emeleteket az egész ház körül, öt-öt könyöknyi magasságban, s befedette a házat cédrusfával.
11 And the word of Yahweh came to Solomon,	11 Ekkor az Úr szózatot intézett Salamonhoz, s ezt mondta:
12 'With regard to this temple which you are now building, if you follow my statutes and obey myordinances and faithful y follow my commandments, I shal fulfil the promise which I made about you to yourfather David.	12 »Íme, a ház, amelyet építesz. Ha parancsaim szerint jársz, s teljesíted rendeleteimet, s ügyelsz minden parancsolatomra, s azok szerint jársz, megvalósítom rajtad szavamat, amelyet Dávidnak, az apádnak mondtam,
13 And I shal make my home among the Israelites and never forsake Israel my people.'	13 s Izrael fiai között fogok lakni, s nem hagyom el népemet, Izraelt.«
14 Solomon finished building the Temple.	14 Amikor aztán teljesen felépíttette Salamon a házat,
15 He lined the inside of the Temple wal s with panels of cedar wood-panelling them on the inside fromthe floor of the Temple to the beams of the ceiling -- and laid the floor of the Temple with juniper planks.	15 bevonatta a ház falait belülről cédrusfa deszkákkal – a ház padlójától a falak tetejéig, egész a mennyezetig beboríttatta belülről cédr usfával –, és befedette a padlózatot fenyőfa deszkával.
16 The twenty cubits measured from the end of the Temple he built of cedar planks from the floor to thebeams, and this part was reserved as the Debir, the Holy of Holies.	16 Majd építtetett a templom hátsó részében, húsz könyöknyire, egy cédrusfalat a padlózattól egészen a mennyezetig, s így elkészíttette a ház belső részét felelőhelynek, szentek szentjének.
17 The Temple measured forty cubits -- the Hekal -- in front of the Debir.	17 Maga a szentély, a felelőhely ajtaja előtt, negyven könyöknyi volt.
18 There was cedar wood round the inside of the Temple, ornamentally carved with gourds and rosettes;al was cedar wood, with no stone showing.	18 Belülről az egész házat cédrusfa borította, faragványokkal, mesteri füzérekkel s domború díszítésekkel. Mindent cédrusfa deszka borított, úgyhogy egyáltalában nem látszott ki kő a falból.
19 In the inner part of the Temple he designed a Debir, to contain the ark of the covenant of Yahweh.	19 Belül a házban, a belső részben, felelőhelyet készíttetett, hogy odahelyeztesse az Úr szövetségének ládáját –
20 The Debir was twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and twenty high, and he overlaid it on the insidewith pure gold. He made an altar of cedar wood	20 a felelőhely húsz könyöknyi hosszú, húsz könyöknyi széles és húsz könyöknyi magas volt –, és azt beboríttatta és bevonatta színarannyal, az oltárt pedig bevonatta cédrusfával.
21 in front of the Debir and overlaid it with gold.	21 Majd bevonatta a felelőhely előtt levő termet is színarannyal, aranyszegekkel szegeztetve fel a lemezeket.
22 He overlaid the whole Temple with gold, the whole Temple entirely.	22 Semmi sem volt a templomban, amit ne borított volna arany, sőt a felelőhely előtt levő oltárt is egészen bevonta arannyal.
23 In the Debir he made two great winged creatures of wild-olive wood. . .It was ten cubits high.	23 Majd két tíz könyöknyi magas kerubot készíttetett a felelőhelyre olajfából.
24 One winged creature's wing was five cubits long and the other wing five cubits: ten cubits from wing tipto wing tip.	24 Öt könyöknyi volt a kerub egyik szárnya s öt könyöknyi a kerub másik szárnya, azaz tíz könyöknyi volt az egyik szárny végétől a másik szárny végéig.
25 The other winged creature also measured ten cubits; both had the same measurements and the sameshape.	25 Tíz könyöknyi volt a másik kerub is, egyenlő méretű és egyforma művű volt mindkét kerub,
26 The height of one was the same as the other's.	26 azaz tíz könyöknyi magas volt az egyik kerub s ugyanannyi a másik kerub.
27 He placed them in the middle of the inner chamber; their wings were spread out so that the wing of onetouched one of the wal s and the wing of the other touched the other wall, while their wings met in the middle ofthe chamber wing to wing.	27 Majd elhelyeztette a kerubokat a belső templom bensejében; a kerubok kiterjesztették szárnyukat, s az egyiknek az egyik szárnya az egyik falig, a másik kerub egyik szárnya a másik falig ért, a másik két szárnyuk pedig a templom közepén összeért egymással.
28 And he overlaid them with gold.	28 Aztán beboríttatta a kerubokat arannyal.
29 Al round the Temple wal s he carved figures of winged creatures, palm trees and rosettes, both insideand outside.	29 Majd mindenféle cifraságokat és faragványokat metszetett körös-körül a templom egész falára: kerubokat, pálmákat s mindenféle, a falból kiemelkedő s kidomborodó ábrákat készíttetett rájuk.
30 He overlaid the floor of the Temple with gold, both inside and outside.	30 Majd beboríttatta a ház padlózatát is arannyal, benn és kinn egyaránt.
31 He made the door of the Debir with uprights of wild-olive wood, and door jambs with five indentedsections,	31 Aztán olajfából ajtókat készíttetett a felelőhely bejáratára, ötszögű ajtókerettel,
32 and the two leaves of wild-olive wood. He carved figures of great winged creatures, palm trees androsettes which he overlaid with gold, and he gilded winged creatures and palm trees.	32 és két, olajfából készült ajtószárnnyal – s kerubalakokat, pálmamintázatokat és erősen kidomborodó faragványokat metszetett rájuk, majd bevonatta őket arannyal, úgyhogy a kerubokat is, a pálmákat is, meg a többit is beboríttatta arannyal.
33 Similarly, he made uprights of wild-olive wood for the door of the Hekal, and door jambs with fourindented sections,	33 Aztán olajfából négyszögű ajtófélfákat készíttetett a templom bejáratára,
34 and the two leaves of juniper: one leaf had two ribs binding it, and the other had two ribs binding it.	34 fenyőfából pedig két ajtót egymással szemben – mindkét ajtószárny kétrétű volt, úgyhogy össze lehetett hajtani, ha kinyitották –,
35 He carved winged creatures, palm trees and rosettes, which he overlaid with gold laid evenly over thecarvings.	35 s kerubokat, pálmákat s erősen kidomborodó díszítéseket metszetett rájuk, s mindezt beborította szabályosan rájuk illő aranylemezekkel.
36 He built the wal of the inner court in three courses of dressed stone and one course of cedar beams.	36 Aztán három sor faragott kőből s egy sor cédrusgerendából felépítette a belső udvart.
37 In the fourth year, in the month of Ziv, the foundations of the Temple were laid;	37 A negyedik esztendőben, a Zív hónapban tették le az Úr házának alapját,
38 in the eleventh year, in the month of Bul -- that is, the eighth month -- the Temple was completedexactly as it had been planned and designed. Solomon took seven years to build it.	38 s a tizenegyedik esztendőben, a Búl hónapban (azaz a nyolcadik hónapban), készült el a ház, minden dolga s minden felszerelése: hét évig építették.
