¹ Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, realizing that you too have a Master in heaven.	¹ - Voi, padroni, date agli schiavi quel che è giusto ed equo, sapendo che anche voi avete un Signore nel cielo.
² Persevere in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving;	² Perseverate nella preghiera vegliando in essa con senso di gratitudine;
³ at the same time, pray for us, too, that God may open a door to us for the word, to speak of the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison,	³ pregando insieme anche per noi affinchè Iddio ci apra la porta della parola, e ci sia dato annunziare il mistero di Cristo, per il quale anche sono ora in catene;
⁴ that I may make it clear, as I must speak.	⁴ affinchè io lo manifesti come conviene ch'io parli.
⁵ Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.	⁵ Diportatevi saviamente con gli estranei, cogliendo il tempo opportuno.
⁶ Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you know how you should respond to each one.	⁶ E il vostro parlare sia sempre grazioso, avveduto, per sapere come abbiate a rispondere a ciascuno.
⁷ Tychicus, my beloved brother, trustworthy minister, and fellow slave in the Lord, will tell you all the news of me.	⁷ Le cose mie ve le farà conoscere Tichico, fratello carissimo, e ministro fedele e conservo nel Signore,
⁸ I am sending him to you for this very purpose, so that you may know about us and that he may encourage your hearts,	⁸ cui ho mandato a voi, giusto perchè sappiate le cose nostre e perchè conforti i vostri cuori;

¹⁴ Luke the beloved physician sends greetings, as does Demas.	¹⁴ Vi saluta Luca, l'amato medico, e Demade.

¹⁷ And tell Archippus, "See that you fulfill the ministry that you received in the Lord."	¹⁷ E dite ad Archippo: «Bada al ministero che hai ricevuto nel nome del Signore, e fa' di adempirlo!».
