1 Masters, treat your slaves justly and fairly, realizing that you too have a Master in heaven.	1 Domini, quod iustum est et aequum, servis praestate, scien tes quoniam etvos Dominum habetis in caelo.
2 Persevere in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving;	2 Orationi instate, vigilantes in ea in gratiarum actione,
3 at the same time, pray for us, too, that God may open a door to us for the word, to speak of the mystery of Christ, for which I am in prison,	3 orantes simul etpro nobis, ut Deus aperiat nobis ostium sermonis ad loquendum mysterium Christi,propter quod etiam vinctus sum,
4 that I may make it clear, as I must speak.	4 ut manifestem illud, ita ut oportet me loqui.
5 Conduct yourselves wisely toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.	5 In sapientia ambulate ad eos, qui foris sunt, tempus redimentes.
6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you know how you should respond to each one.	6 Sermovester semper sit in gratia, sale conditus, ut sciatis quomodo oporteat vosunicuique respondere.

17 And tell Archippus, "See that you fulfill the ministry that you received in the Lord."	17 Et dicite Archippo: “ Videministerium, quod accepisti in Domino, ut illud impleas ”.
