1 The word of the LORD which came to Micah of Moresheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah: that is, the vision he received concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.	1 - Parola del Signore comunicata a Michea Morastite ai tempi di Joatan, di Acaz e di Ezechia, re di Giuda, riguardante ciò che vide su Samaria e Gerusalemme.
2 Hear, O peoples, all of you, give heed, O earth, and all that fills you! Let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple!	2 «Ascoltate tutti, o popoli: faccia attenzione la terra, e quei che la riempiono, e il Signore Dio venga a testificare contro di voi, il Signore dal suo tempio santo.
3 For see, the LORD comes forth from his place, he descends and treads upon the heights of the earth.	3 Perchè ecco il Signore che uscirà dal suo luogo, e scenderà calcando le sommità della terra.
4 The mountains melt under him and the valleys split open, Like wax before the fire, like water poured down a slope.	4 E le montagne si scioglieranno sotto i suoi passi, e le valli si distempreranno come cera al fuoco, come acque colanti giù per i dirupi.
5 For the crime of Jacob all this comes to pass, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the crime of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what is the sin of the house of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?	5 Tutto questo per la scelleratezza di Giacobbe e pei peccati della casa d'Israele. E quale la scelleratezza di Giacobbe, se non Samaria? E quali gli alti luoghi di Giuda, se non Gerusalemme?
6 I will make Samaria a stone heap in the field, a place to plant for vineyards; I will throw down into the valley her stones, and lay bare her foundations.	6 Ma io ridurrò Samaria, come un mucchio di pietre in un campo, quando si pianta una vigna; e travolgerò a valle le sue pietre, e metterò allo scoperto le sue fondamenta.
7 All her idols shall be broken to pieces, all her wages shall be burned in the fire, and all her statues I will destroy. As the wages of a harlot they were gathered, and to the wages of a harlot shall they return.	7 E tutte le sue statue andranno infrante, e tutte le mercedi offerte saranno consumate dal fuoco, e porterò la distruzione su tutti i suoi idoli; perchè sono mercedi raccolte da meretrice e in mercede da meretrice si convertiranno.
8 For this reason I lament and wail, I go barefoot and naked; I utter lamentation like the jackals, and mourning like the ostriches.	8 Per questo io piangerò e farò lamenti, andrò spogliato e nudo, manderò urla dolenti come le fiere, e gemiti come gli struzzi.
9 There is no remedy for the blow she has been struck; rather, it has come even to Judah, It reaches to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.	9 Perchè la sua piaga è disperata, è penetrata fino in Giuda, ha toccato la porta del mio popolo fino in Gerusalemme.
