Micah 1

1 The word of the LORD which came to Micah of Moresheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah: that is, the vision he received concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.	1 Parola del Signore sopra Samaria, e Gerusalemme rivelata a Michea Morasthite a' tempi di Joatham, di Achaz e di Ezechia regi di Giuda.
2 Hear, O peoples, all of you, give heed, O earth, and all that fills you! Let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple!	2 Ascoltate popoli quanti voi siete, e ponga mente la terra, e tutto quello, che in essa contiensi, e il Signore Dio sia testimone contro di voi, il Signore dal suo tempio santo.
3 For see, the LORD comes forth from his place, he descends and treads upon the heights of the earth.	3 Perocché ecco, che il Signore uscirà dalla sua residenza, e scenderà, e calpesterà le grandezze della terra.
4 The mountains melt under him and the valleys split open, Like wax before the fire, like water poured down a slope.	4 E le montagne si squaglieranno sotto di lui, e le valli si consumeranno come cera dinanzi al fuoco; e come le acque, che scorrono per luogo declive.
5 For the crime of Jacob all this comes to pass, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the crime of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what is the sin of the house of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?	5 Tutto questo per la scelleraggine di Giacobbe, e pe' peccati della casa d'Israele. E donde la scelleraggine di Giacobbe, se non da Samaria? E donde i luoghi eccelsi di Giuda, se non da Gerusalemme?
6 I will make Samaria a stone heap in the field, a place to plant for vineyards; I will throw down into the valley her stones, and lay bare her foundations.	6 Ed io ridurrò Samaria come un mucchio di pietre in un campo, dove si pianta una vigna; e le sue pietre getterò nella valle, e scoprirò i suoi fondamenti.
7 All her idols shall be broken to pieces, all her wages shall be burned in the fire, and all her statues I will destroy. As the wages of a harlot they were gathered, and to the wages of a harlot shall they return.	7 E tutte le sue statue saranno spezzate, e tutte le sue mercedi saranno gettate alle fiamme, e sperderò tutti i suoi idoli, perchè tutti i suoi averi son messi insieme di mercedi di meretrice, e torneranno ad essere paga di meretrice.
8 For this reason I lament and wail, I go barefoot and naked; I utter lamentation like the jackals, and mourning like the ostriches.	8 Per questo io sospirerò, e urlerò, anderò spogliato, e ignudo; urlerò come i dragoni, e farò voci flebili come lo struzzolo.
9 There is no remedy for the blow she has been struck; rather, it has come even to Judah, It reaches to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.	9 Perchè la piaga di Samaria è disperata, e si è stesa fino a Giuda, ha penetrato fino alla porta del popol mio, fino a Gerusalemme.
10 Publish it not in Gath, weep not at all; In Beth-leaphrah roll in the dust.	10 Fate, che ciò non si sappia a Geth; non piangete tanto: aspergetevi di polvere nella casa di polvere.
11 Pass by, you who dwell in Shaphir! The inhabitants of Zaanan come not forth from their city. The lamentation of Beth-ezel finds in you its grounds.	11 Vattene vergognosa di tua ignominia, o abitatrice del bel paese: quel la, che abita ai confini, non è partita: la casa vicina, la quale si stette da se, avrà in voi argomento di pianto;
12 How can the inhabitants of Maroth hope for good? For evil has come down from the LORD to the gate of Jerusalem.	12 Perocché è stata impotente a far bene quella, che abita nelle amarezze, perchè il Signore ha mandata l'afflizione alle porte di Gerusalemme.
13 Harness steeds to the chariots, O inhabitants of Lachish; Lachish, the beginning of sin for daughter Zion, Because there were in you the crimes of Israel.	13 Allo strepito de' cocchi rimarrà stupido l'abitatore di Lachis: ella fu cagion primaria di peccato per la Figliuola ai Sion: perchè in lei si trovarono delle scelleraggini d'Israele.
14 Therefore you shall give parting gifts to Moresheth-gath; Beth-achzib is a deception to the kings of Israel.	14 Per questo ella spedirà emissari alla casa di Geth, casa di menzogna, da cui saranno gabbati i re d'Israele.
15 Yet must I bring to you the conqueror, O inhabitants of Mareshah; Even to Adullam shall go the glory of Israel.	15 Io menerò ancora un nuovo padrone a te, o abitatrice di Maresa: fino a Odollam arriverà la Gloria d'Israele.
16 Make yourself bald, pluck out your hair, for the children whom you cherish; Let your baldness be as the eagle's, because they are exiled from you.	16 Strappati i capelli, e tosati a motivo de' cari tuoi figliuoli: levati tutti i peli come aquila, perchè i tuoi sono peli menati in ischiavitù.
