1 The word of the LORD which came to Micah of Moresheth in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah: that is, the vision he received concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.	1 La parole de Yahvé fut adressée à Michée de Moréchèt, au temps de Yotam, d’Akaz et d’Ézékias, rois de Juda. Voici ses visions sur Samarie et Jérusalem.
2 Hear, O peoples, all of you, give heed, O earth, and all that fills you! Let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple!	2 Tous les peuples, écoutez! Sois attentive, terre entière! C’est Yahvé qui va témoigner contre vous, le Seigneur qui nous vient de son palais de sainteté.
3 For see, the LORD comes forth from his place, he descends and treads upon the heights of the earth.	3 Il est sorti de sa demeure, il est descendu, il s’avance sur les hauteurs de la terre.
4 The mountains melt under him and the valleys split open, Like wax before the fire, like water poured down a slope.	4 Les montagnes se défont à son passage, les plaines sont comme cire fondue devant le feu, comme l’eau qui se déverse sur la pente.
5 For the crime of Jacob all this comes to pass, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the crime of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what is the sin of the house of Judah? Is it not Jerusalem?	5 Mais c’est à cause du crime de Jacob, à cause des péchés de la maison d’Israël. Quel est donc le crime de Jacob? N’est-ce pas Samarie? Et quel est le péché de Juda? N’est-ce pas Jérusalem?
6 I will make Samaria a stone heap in the field, a place to plant for vineyards; I will throw down into the valley her stones, and lay bare her foundations.	6 Je ferai de Samarie un tas de décombres dans un champ, un lieu où planter la vigne; je ferai que ses pierres roulent dans les vallées, je mettrai à nu ses fondations.
7 All her idols shall be broken to pieces, all her wages shall be burned in the fire, and all her statues I will destroy. As the wages of a harlot they were gathered, and to the wages of a harlot shall they return.	7 Toutes ses statues seront brisées, ses richesses consumées par le feu; je mettrai en pièces ses pierres sacrées, fruit du salaire des prostituées: elles redeviendront salaire de prostituée.
8 For this reason I lament and wail, I go barefoot and naked; I utter lamentation like the jackals, and mourning like the ostriches.	8 À cause de cela je pousserai des cris, je hurlerai, je marcherai dépouillé et nu, je ferai entendre mon cri comme le chacal et ma plainte comme l’autruche.
9 There is no remedy for the blow she has been struck; rather, it has come even to Judah, It reaches to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.	9 Oui, le coup est irrémédiable, il atteint Juda, il frappe même Jérusalem, la porte de mon peuple.
10 Publish it not in Gath, weep not at all; In Beth-leaphrah roll in the dust.	10 Ne l’annoncez pas dans Gat, ne pleurez pas dans Acco, roulez-vous dans la poussière à Bet-Léafra.
11 Pass by, you who dwell in Shaphir! The inhabitants of Zaanan come not forth from their city. The lamentation of Beth-ezel finds in you its grounds.	11 Toi qui habites à Chafir, sonne de la trompette; toi qui demeures à Saanan, ne sors pas de la cité. Bet-Ha-Ésel est arrachée de ses fondations.
12 How can the inhabitants of Maroth hope for good? For evil has come down from the LORD to the gate of Jerusalem.	12 Que peut encore espérer Marot, quand Yahvé fait descendre le malheur aux portes de Jérusalem?
13 Harness steeds to the chariots, O inhabitants of Lachish; Lachish, the beginning of sin for daughter Zion, Because there were in you the crimes of Israel.	13 Attelle ton cheval au char, ville de Lakish, car c’est là qu’a commencé le péché pour la fille de Sion. Oui, on a trouvé chez toi les péchés d’Israël.
14 Therefore you shall give parting gifts to Moresheth-gath; Beth-achzib is a deception to the kings of Israel.	14 C’est pourquoi il te faut renoncer à Moréchèt-Gat. Bet-Akzib décevra les rois d’Israël.
15 Yet must I bring to you the conqueror, O inhabitants of Mareshah; Even to Adullam shall go the glory of Israel.	15 Le pillard reviendra encore chez toi qui habites à Marécha, et ceux qui faisaient la gloire d’Israël partiront pour toujours.
16 Make yourself bald, pluck out your hair, for the children whom you cherish; Let your baldness be as the eagle's, because they are exiled from you.	16 Arrache-toi les cheveux, rase-les à cause de tes enfants bien-aimés et deviens chauve comme le vautour, car les voici qui partent en déportation loin de toi.
