1 The LORD said to Moses and Aaron:	1 ܘܡܠܠ ܡܪܝܐ ܥܡ ܡܘܫܐ ܘܥܡ ܐܗܪܘܢ ܘܐܡܪ ܠܗܘܢ.
2 "The Israelites shall camp, each in his own division, under the ensigns of their ancestral houses. They shall camp around the meeting tent, but at some distance from it.	2 ܓܒܪ ܒܛܘܠܩܗ ܒܐܬܪ̈ܘܬܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܐܒܗܝ̈ܗܘܢ. ܢܫܪܘܢ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܡܢ ܩܒܘܠ . ܘܚܕܪ ܡܫܟܢܙܒܢܐ ܢܫܪܘܢ.
3 "Encamped on the east side, toward the sunrise, shall be the divisional camp of Judah, arranged in companies. (The prince of the Judahites was Nahshon, son of Amminadab,	3 ܘܕܫ̇ܪܝܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ ܡܢ ܡܕܢܚܐ. ܛܘܠܩܐ ܕܡܫܪܝܬܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ ܠܚܝܠܗܘܢ. ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܝܗܘܕܐ. ܢܚܫܘܢ ܒܪ ܥܡܝܢܕܒ.
4 and his soldiers amounted in the census to seventy-four thousand six hundred.)	4 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ. ܫܒܥܝܢ ܘܐܪܒܥܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܫܬܡ̈ܐܐ.
5 With Judah shall camp the tribe of Issachar (Their prince was Nethanel, son of Zuar,	5 ܘܕܫ̇ܪܝܢ ܠܘܬܗ ܫܒܛܐ ܕܐܝܣܟܪ. ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܟܪ ܢܬܢܝܐܝܠ ܒܪ ܨܘܥܪ.
6 and his soldiers amounted in the census to fifty-four thousand four hundred.)	6 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ. ܚܡܫܝܢ ܘܐܪ̈ܒܥܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܐܪ̈ܒܥܡܐܐ.
7 and the tribe of Zebulun. (Their prince was Eliab, son of Helon,	7 ܘܫܒܛܐ ܕܙܒܘܠܘܢ ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܙܒܘܠܘܢ. ܐܠܝܒ ܒܪ ܚܠܘܢ.
8 and his soldiers amounted in the census to fifty-seven thousand four hundred.	8 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ. ܚܡܫܝܢ ܘܫܒܥܐ ܐ̈ܠܦܝܢ ܘܐܪܒܥܡܐܐ.
9 The total number of those registered by companies in the camp of Judah was one hundred and eighty-six thousand four hundred.) These shall be first on the march.	9 ܟܠܗ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܡܫܪܝܬܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܐ. ܡܐܐ ܘܬܡܢܐܝܢ ܘܐܫܬܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܐܪܒܥܡܐܐ ܠܚܝ̈ܠܘܬܗܘܢ . ܩܕܡܝܬ ܗܢܘܢ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܫ̇ܩܠܝܢ.
10 "On the south side shall be the divisional camp of Reuben, arranged in companies. (Their prince was Elizur, son of Shedeur,	10 ܘܛܘܠܩܐ ܕܡܫܪܝܬܐ ܕܪܘܒܝܠ. ܡܢ ܬܝܡܢܐ ܠܚܝܠܗܘܢ. ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܪܘܒܝܠ. ܐܠܝܨܘܪ ܒܪ ܫܕܐܘܪ.
11 and his soldiers amounted in the census to forty-six thousand five hundred.)	11 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ. ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܘܫܬܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܚܡܫܡܐܐ.
12 Beside them shall camp the tribe of Simeon (Their prince was Shelumiel, son of Zurishaddai,	12 ܘܕܫ̇ܪܝܢ ܠܘܬܗ ܫܒܛܐ ܕܫܡܥܘܢ. ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܫܡܥܘܢ. ܫܠܡܘܐܝܠ ܒܪ ܨܘܪܝܫܕܝ.
13 and his soldiers amounted in the census to fifty-nine thousand three hundred.)	13 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ. ܚܡܫܝܢ ܘܬܫܥܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܬܠܬܡܐܐ.
14 and next the tribe of Gad. (Their prince was Eliasaph, son of Reuel,	14 ܘܫܒܛܐ ܕܓܕ ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܓܕ ܐܠܝܐܣܦ ܒܪ ܪܥܘܐܝܠ.
15 and his soldiers amounted in the census to forty-five thousand six hundred and fifty.	15 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ. ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܘܚܡܫܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܫܬܡܐܐ ܘܚܡܫܝܢ.
16 The total number of those registered by companies in the camp of Reuben was one hundred and fifty-one thousand four hundred and fifty.) These shall be second on the march.	16 ܟܠܗ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܡܫܪܝܬܐ ܕܪܘܒܝܠ. ܡܐܐ ܘܚܡܫܝܢ ܘܚܕ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܐܪ̈ܒܥܡܐܐ ܘܚܡܫܝܢ ܠܚܝܠܗܘܢ. ܒܬܪ ܩܕܡ̈ܝܐ ܗܘܘ ܫ̇ܩܠܝܢ.
17 "Then the meeting tent and the camp of the Levites shall set out in the middle of the line. As in camp, so also on the march, every man shall be in his proper place, with his own division.	17 ܘܫ̇ܩܠܝܢ ܡܫܟܢܙܒܢܐ ܡܫܪܝܬܐ ܕܠܘܝ̈ܐ ܒܓܘ ܡܫܪܝܬܐ. ܐܝܟ ܕܫ̇ܪܝܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܗܘܘ ܫ̇ܩܠܝܢ. ܐܢܫ ܥܡ ܛܘܠܩܗ ܠܚܝ̈ܠܘܬܗܘܢ .
18 "On the west side shall be the divisional camp of Ephraim, arranged in companies. (Their prince was Elishama, son of Ammihud,	18 ܘܛܘܠܩܐ ܕܡܫܪܝܬܐ ܕܐܦܪܝܡ ܠܚܝܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ ܡܥܪܒܐ. ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܦܪܝܡ. ܐܠܝܫܡܥ ܒܪ ܥܡܝܗܘܕ.
19 and his soldiers amounted in the census to forty thousand five hundred.)	19 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ. ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܚܡܫܡܐܐ.
20 Beside them shall camp the tribe of Manasseh (Their prince was Gamaliel, son of Pedahzur,	20 ܘܕܫ̇ܪܝܢ ܠܘܬܗ . ܫܒܛܐ ܕܡܢܫܐ. ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܡܢܫܐ. ܓܡܠܝܐܝܠ ܒܪ ܦܪܨܘܪ.
21 and his soldiers amounted in the census to thirty-two thousand two hundred.)	21 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ. ܬܠܬܝܢ ܘܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܡܐܬܝܢ.
22 and the tribe of Benjamin. (Their prince was Abidan, son of Gideoni,	22 ܘܫܒܛܐ ܕܒܢܝܡܝܢ. ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܒܢܝܡܝܢ. ܐܒܝܕܢ ܒܪ ܓܕܥܘܢܝ.
23 and his soldiers amounted in the census to thirty-five thousand four hundred.	23 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ ܬܠܬܝܢ ܘܚܡܫܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܐܪܒܥܡܐܐ.
24 The total number of those registered by companies in the camp of Ephraim was one hundred and eight thousand one hundred.) These shall be third on the march.	24 ܟܠܗ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܡܫܪܝܬܐ ܕܐܦܪܝܡ ܡܐܐ ܘܬܡܢܝܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܡܐܐ ܠܚܝܠܗܘܢ. ܒܬܪ ܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܢܫܩܠܘܢ.
25 "On the north side shall be the divisional camp of Dan, arranged in companies. (Their prince was Ahiezer, son of Ammishaddai,	25 ܘܛܘܠܩܐ ܕܡܫܪܝܬܐ ܕܕܢ ܡܢ ܓܪܒܝܐ ܠܚܝܠܗܘܢ. ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܕܢ. ܐܚܝܥܙܪ ܒܪ ܥܡܝܫܕܝ.
26 and his soldiers amounted in the census to sixty-two thousand seven hundred.)	26 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ. ܫܬܝܢ ܘܬܪ̈ܝܢ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܫܒܥܡܐܐ .
27 Beside them shall camp the tribe of Asher (Their prince was Pagiel, son of Ochran,	27 ܘܕܫ̇ܪܝܢ ܠܘܬܗ ܫܒܛܐ ܕܐܫܝܪ. ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܫܝܪ. ܦܓܥܐܝܠ ܒܪ ܥܟܪܢ.
28 and his soldiers amounted in the census to forty-one thousand five hundred.)	28 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ. ܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܘܚܕ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܚܡܫܡܐܐ.
29 and next the tribe of Naphtali. (Their prince was Ahira, son of Enan,	29 ܘܫܒܛܐ ܕܢܦܬܠܝ ܘܪܫܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܢܦܬܠܝ. ܐܚܝܕܥ ܒܪ ܥܝܢܢ.
30 and his soldiers amounted in the census to fifty-three thousand four hundred.	30 ܘܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܚܝܠܗ. ܚܡܫܝܢ ܘܬܠܬܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܐܪ̈ܒܥܡܐܐ.
31 The total number of those registered by companies in the camp of Dan was one hundred and fifty-seven thousand six hundred.) These shall be the last of the divisions on the march."	31 ܟܠܗ ܡܢܝܢܐ ܕܡܫܪܝܬܐ ܕܕܢ. ܡܐܐ ܘܚܡܫܝܢ ܘܫܒܥܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܫܬܡܐܐ ܒܐܚܪܝܬ ܛܘܠܩ̈ܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܫ̇ܩܠܝܢ.
32 This was the census of the Israelites taken by ancestral houses. The total number of those registered by companies in the camps was six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty.	32 ܗܠܝܢ ܡܢ̈ܝܢܐ ܕܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܒܝܬ ܐܒܗܝ̈ܗܘܢ. ܟܠܗܘܢ ܡܢ̈ܝܢܐ ܕܡܫܪ̈ܝܬܐ ܠܚܝܠܗܘܢ. ܫܬܡܐܐ ܘܬܠܬܐ ܐܠܦ̈ܝܢ ܘܚܡܫܡܐܐ ܘܚܡܫܝܢ.
33 The Levites, however, were not registered with the other Israelites, for so the LORD had commanded Moses.	33 ܘܠܘ̈ܝܐ ܘܫܒܛܐ ܕܐܒܗܝ̈ܗܘܢ . ܠܐ ܐܬܡܢܝܘ ܒܝܢܬ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ. ܐܝܟ ܕܦܩܕ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܘܫܐ.
34 The Israelites did just as the LORD had commanded Moses; both in camp and on the march they were in their own divisions, every man according to his clan and his ancestral house.	34 ܘܥܒܕܘ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܟܠ ܕܦܩܕ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܡܘܫܐ. ܗܟܢܐ ܥܒܕ ܘܗܟܢܐ ܫ̇ܩܠܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܒܛܘ̈ܠܩܝܗܘܢ. ܘܗܟܢܐ ܫ̇ܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ . ܐܢܫ ܒܡܫܪܝܬܗ ܥܠ ܒܝܬ ܐܒܘܗܝ.
