Leviticus 24

1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Il Signore disse a Mosè:
2 "Order the Israelites to bring you clear oil of crushed olives for the light, so that you may keep lamps burning regularly.	2 "Ordina ai figli d'Israele che ti portino olio puro di olive macinate per la lampada, per farne salire una fiamma permanente.
3 In the meeting tent, outside the veil that hangs in front of the commandments, Aaron shall set up the lamps to burn before the LORD regularly, from evening till morning. Thus, by a perpetual statute for you and your descendants,	3 Aronne la disponga nella tenda del convegno, fuori del velo della testimonianza; sarà sempre davanti al Signore, dalla sera fino al mattino: legge eterna per tutte le vostre generazioni.
4 the lamps shall be set up on the pure gold lampstand, to burn regularly before the LORD.	4 Disporrà le lampade sopra il candelabro d'oro puro: siano davanti al Signore sempre.
5 "You shall take fine flour and bake it into twelve cakes, using two tenths of an ephah of flour for each cake.	5 Prenderai del fior di farina e cuocerai dodici focacce di due decimi di efa ciascuna.
6 These you shall place in two piles, six in each pile, on the pure gold table before the LORD.	6 Le metterai in due pile, sei per ogni pila, sul tavolo d'oro puro davanti al Signore.
7 On each pile put some pure frankincense, which shall serve as an oblation to the LORD, a token offering for the bread.	7 Su ciascuna pila metterai incenso puro e sarà sul pane come un memoriale, dono per il Signore.
8 Regularly on each sabbath day this bread shall be set out afresh before the LORD, offered on the part of the Israelites by an everlasting agreement.	8 Ogni giorno di sabato lo si disporrà davanti al Signore, sempre. Sarà offerto dai figli d'Israele come patto eterno.
9 It shall belong to Aaron and his sons, who must eat it in a sacred place, since, as something most sacred among the various oblations to the LORD, it is his by perpetual right."	9 Apparterrà ad Aronne e ai suoi figli, che lo mangeranno in luogo sacro, perché è cosa sacrosanta per lui fra i doni offerti al Signore. Legge eterna!".
10 Among the Israelites there was a man born of an Israelite mother (Shelomith, daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan) and an Egyptian father.	10 Il figlio di una donna israelita e di un egiziano uscì in mezzo ai figli d'Israele, e il figlio della donna israelita e un uomo israelita vennero a diverbio nell'accampamento.
11 This man quarreled publicly with another Israelite and cursed and blasphemed the LORD'S name. So the people brought him to Moses,	11 Il figlio della donna israelita bestemmiò il Nome e lo maledisse. Allora lo portarono davanti a Mosè. Il nome della madre era Selòmit, figlia di Dibri della tribù di Dan.
12 who kept him in custody till a decision from the LORD should settle the case for them.	12 Lo misero sotto custodia, per decidere secondo l'oracolo del Signore.
13 The LORD then said to Moses,	13 Il Signore ordinò a Mosè:
14 "Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and when all who heard him have laid their hands on his head, let the whole community stone him.	14 "Fa' uscire il bestemmiatore fuori del campo; coloro che lo hanno udito mettano le loro mani sulla sua testa e tutta la comunità lo lapidi.
15 Tell the Israelites: Anyone who curses his God shall bear the penalty of his sin;	15 Ai figli d'Israele dirai: "Chiunque maledice il suo Dio porterà il peso del suo peccato.
16 whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD shall be put to death. The whole community shall stone him; alien and native alike must be put to death for blaspheming the LORD'S name.	16 Chi bestemmia il nome del Signore sia messo a morte; lo lapidi tutta la comunità. Sia straniero che nativo, se maledirà il Nome, sarà messo a morte".
17 "Whoever takes the life of any human being shall be put to death;	17 Se un uomo colpisce un essere umano sia messo a morte.
18 whoever takes the life of an animal shall make restitution of another animal. A life for a life!	18 Chi colpisce un animale ne darà un risarcimento: vita per vita.
19 Anyone who inflicts an injury on his neighbor shall receive the same in return.	19 Se un uomo ha inflitto una mutilazione a un suo compatriota, come ha fatto così gli venga fatto:
20 Limb for limb, eye for eye, tooth for tooth! The same injury that a man gives another shall be inflicted on him in return.	20 frattura per frattura, occhio per occhio, dente per dente; come egli ha inflitto una mutilazione a qualcuno, così la si infligga a lui.
21 Whoever slays an animal shall make restitution, but whoever slays a man shall be put to death.	21 Chi colpisce un animale, ne darà un risarcimento, e chi colpisce un uomo sarà messo a morte.
22 You shall have but one rule, for alien and native alike. I, the LORD, am your God."	22 La sentenza sarà unica presso di voi, sia che si tratti di uno straniero o di un nativo. Io sono il Signore Dio vostro".
23 When Moses told this to the Israelites, they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him; they carried out the command that the LORD had given Moses.	23 Mosè parlò ai figli d'Israele ed essi fecero uscire il bestemmiatore fuori del campo e lo lapidarono. I figli d'Israele fecero come aveva comandato il Signore a Mosè.
