Leviticus 24

1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
2 "Order the Israelites to bring you clear oil of crushed olives for the light, so that you may keep lamps burning regularly.	2 צו את בני ישראל ויקחו אליך שמן זית זך כתית למאור להעלת נר תמיד
3 In the meeting tent, outside the veil that hangs in front of the commandments, Aaron shall set up the lamps to burn before the LORD regularly, from evening till morning. Thus, by a perpetual statute for you and your descendants,	3 מחוץ לפרכת העדת באהל מועד יערך אתו אהרן מערב עד בקר לפני יהוה תמיד חקת עולם לדרתיכם
4 the lamps shall be set up on the pure gold lampstand, to burn regularly before the LORD.	4 על המנרה הטהרה יערך את הנרות לפני יהוה תמיד
5 "You shall take fine flour and bake it into twelve cakes, using two tenths of an ephah of flour for each cake.	5 ולקחת סלת ואפית אתה שתים עשרה חלות שני עשרנים יהיה החלה האחת
6 These you shall place in two piles, six in each pile, on the pure gold table before the LORD.	6 ושמת אותם שתים מערכות שש המערכת על השלחן הטהר לפני יהוה
7 On each pile put some pure frankincense, which shall serve as an oblation to the LORD, a token offering for the bread.	7 ונתת על המערכת לבנה זכה והיתה ללחם לאזכרה אשה ליהוה
8 Regularly on each sabbath day this bread shall be set out afresh before the LORD, offered on the part of the Israelites by an everlasting agreement.	8 ביום השבת ביום השבת יערכנו לפני יהוה תמיד מאת בני ישראל ברית עולם
9 It shall belong to Aaron and his sons, who must eat it in a sacred place, since, as something most sacred among the various oblations to the LORD, it is his by perpetual right."	9 והיתה לאהרן ולבניו ואכלהו במקום קדש כי קדש קדשים הוא לו מאשי יהוה חק עולם
10 Among the Israelites there was a man born of an Israelite mother (Shelomith, daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan) and an Egyptian father.	10 ויצא בן אשה ישראלית והוא בן איש מצרי בתוך בני ישראל וינצו במחנה בן הישראלית ואיש הישראלי
11 This man quarreled publicly with another Israelite and cursed and blasphemed the LORD'S name. So the people brought him to Moses,	11 ויקב בן האשה הישראלית את השם ויקלל ויביאו אתו אל משה ושם אמו שלמית בת דברי למטה דן
12 who kept him in custody till a decision from the LORD should settle the case for them.	12 ויניחהו במשמר לפרש להם על פי יהוה
13 The LORD then said to Moses,	13 וידבר יהוה אל משה לאמר
14 "Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and when all who heard him have laid their hands on his head, let the whole community stone him.	14 הוצא את המקלל אל מחוץ למחנה וסמכו כל השמעים את ידיהם על ראשו ורגמו אתו כל העדה
15 Tell the Israelites: Anyone who curses his God shall bear the penalty of his sin;	15 ואל בני ישראל תדבר לאמר איש איש כי יקלל אלהיו ונשא חטאו
16 whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD shall be put to death. The whole community shall stone him; alien and native alike must be put to death for blaspheming the LORD'S name.	16 ונקב שם יהוה מות יומת רגום ירגמו בו כל העדה כגר כאזרח בנקבו שם יומת
17 "Whoever takes the life of any human being shall be put to death;	17 ואיש כי יכה כל נפש אדם מות יומת
18 whoever takes the life of an animal shall make restitution of another animal. A life for a life!	18 ומכה נפש בהמה ישלמנה נפש תחת נפש
19 Anyone who inflicts an injury on his neighbor shall receive the same in return.	19 ואיש כי יתן מום בעמיתו כאשר עשה כן יעשה לו
20 Limb for limb, eye for eye, tooth for tooth! The same injury that a man gives another shall be inflicted on him in return.	20 שבר תחת שבר עין תחת עין שן תחת שן כאשר יתן מום באדם כן ינתן בו
21 Whoever slays an animal shall make restitution, but whoever slays a man shall be put to death.	21 ומכה בהמה ישלמנה ומכה אדם יומת
22 You shall have but one rule, for alien and native alike. I, the LORD, am your God."	22 משפט אחד יהיה לכם כגר כאזרח יהיה כי אני יהוה אלהיכם
23 When Moses told this to the Israelites, they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him; they carried out the command that the LORD had given Moses.	23 וידבר משה אל בני ישראל ויוציאו את המקלל אל מחוץ למחנה וירגמו אתו אבן ובני ישראל עשו כאשר צוה יהוה את משה
