Leviticus 24

1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e disse:
2 "Order the Israelites to bring you clear oil of crushed olives for the light, so that you may keep lamps burning regularly.	2 «Ordina agli Israeliti che ti portino olio puro di olive schiacciate per l’illuminazione, per tenere perennemente accesa la lampada.
3 In the meeting tent, outside the veil that hangs in front of the commandments, Aaron shall set up the lamps to burn before the LORD regularly, from evening till morning. Thus, by a perpetual statute for you and your descendants,	3 Aronne la disporrà nella tenda del convegno, fuori del velo che sta davanti alla Testimonianza, perché arda dalla sera al mattino davanti al Signore, sempre. Sarà per voi una legge perenne, di generazione in generazione.
4 the lamps shall be set up on the pure gold lampstand, to burn regularly before the LORD.	4 Egli disporrà le lampade sul candelabro d’oro puro, perché ardano sempre davanti al Signore.
5 "You shall take fine flour and bake it into twelve cakes, using two tenths of an ephah of flour for each cake.	5 Prenderai anche fior di farina e ne farai cuocere dodici focacce; ogni focaccia sarà di due decimi di efa.
6 These you shall place in two piles, six in each pile, on the pure gold table before the LORD.	6 Le disporrai su due pile, sei per pila, sulla tavola d’oro puro davanti al Signore.
7 On each pile put some pure frankincense, which shall serve as an oblation to the LORD, a token offering for the bread.	7 Porrai incenso puro sopra ogni pila, perché serva da memoriale per il pane, come sacrificio consumato dal fuoco in onore del Signore.
8 Regularly on each sabbath day this bread shall be set out afresh before the LORD, offered on the part of the Israelites by an everlasting agreement.	8 Ogni giorno di sabato lo si disporrà davanti al Signore perennemente da parte degli Israeliti: è un’alleanza eterna.
9 It shall belong to Aaron and his sons, who must eat it in a sacred place, since, as something most sacred among the various oblations to the LORD, it is his by perpetual right."	9 Sarà riservato ad Aronne e ai suoi figli: essi lo mangeranno in luogo santo, perché sarà per loro cosa santissima tra i sacrifici da bruciare in onore del Signore. È una legge perenne».
10 Among the Israelites there was a man born of an Israelite mother (Shelomith, daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan) and an Egyptian father.	10 Ora il figlio di una donna israelita e di un Egiziano uscì in mezzo agli Israeliti, e nell’accampamento scoppiò una lite fra il figlio della donna e un Israelita.
11 This man quarreled publicly with another Israelite and cursed and blasphemed the LORD'S name. So the people brought him to Moses,	11 Il figlio della Israelita bestemmiò il Nome, imprecando; perciò fu condotto da Mosè. La madre di quel tale si chiamava Selomìt, figlia di Dibrì, della tribù di Dan.
12 who kept him in custody till a decision from the LORD should settle the case for them.	12 Lo misero sotto sorveglianza, finché venisse una decisione dalla bocca del Signore.
13 The LORD then said to Moses,	13 Il Signore parlò a Mosè dicendo:
14 "Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and when all who heard him have laid their hands on his head, let the whole community stone him.	14 «Conduci quel bestemmiatore fuori dell’accampamento; quanti lo hanno udito posino le mani sul suo capo e tutta la comunità lo lapiderà.
15 Tell the Israelites: Anyone who curses his God shall bear the penalty of his sin;	15 Parla agli Israeliti dicendo: “Chiunque maledirà il suo Dio, porterà il peso del suo peccato.
16 whoever blasphemes the name of the LORD shall be put to death. The whole community shall stone him; alien and native alike must be put to death for blaspheming the LORD'S name.	16 Chi bestemmia il nome del Signore dovrà essere messo a morte: tutta la comunità lo dovrà lapidare. Straniero o nativo della terra, se ha bestemmiato il Nome, sarà messo a morte.
17 "Whoever takes the life of any human being shall be put to death;	17 Chi percuote a morte qualsiasi uomo, dovrà essere messo a morte.
18 whoever takes the life of an animal shall make restitution of another animal. A life for a life!	18 Chi percuote a morte un capo di bestiame, dovrà risarcirlo: vita per vita.
19 Anyone who inflicts an injury on his neighbor shall receive the same in return.	19 Se uno farà una lesione al suo prossimo, si farà a lui come egli ha fatto all’altro:
20 Limb for limb, eye for eye, tooth for tooth! The same injury that a man gives another shall be inflicted on him in return.	20 frattura per frattura, occhio per occhio, dente per dente; gli si farà la stessa lesione che egli ha fatto all’altro.
21 Whoever slays an animal shall make restitution, but whoever slays a man shall be put to death.	21 Chi percuote a morte un capo di bestiame, dovrà risarcirlo; ma chi percuote a morte un uomo sarà messo a morte.
22 You shall have but one rule, for alien and native alike. I, the LORD, am your God."	22 Ci sarà per voi una sola legge per il forestiero e per il cittadino della terra; poiché io sono il Signore, vostro Dio”».
23 When Moses told this to the Israelites, they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him; they carried out the command that the LORD had given Moses.	23 Mosè parlò agli Israeliti ed essi condussero quel bestemmiatore fuori dell’accampamento e lo lapidarono. Così gli Israeliti fecero come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
