Isaiah 46

1 Bel bows down, Nebo stoops, their idols are upon beasts and cattle; They must be borne up on shoulders, carried as burdens by the weary.	1 Bel se desploma, Nebó se derrumba, sus ídolos van sobre animales y bestias de carga; llevados como fardos sobre un animal desfallecido.
2 They stoop and bow down together; unable to save those who bear them, they too go into captivity.	2 Se derrumbaron, se desplomaron todos, no pudieron salvar la carga; ellos mismos van cautivos.
3 Hear me, O house of Jacob, all who remain of the house of Israel, My burden since your birth, whom I have carried from your infancy.	3 Escuchadme, casa de Jacob, y todos los supervivientes de la casa de Israel, los que habéis sido transportados desde el seno, llevados desde el vientre materno.
4 Even to your old age I am the same, even when your hair is gray I will bear you; It is I who have done this, I who will continue, and I who will carry you to safety.	4 Hasta vuestra vejez, yo seré el mismo, hasta que se os vuelva el pelo blanco, yo os llevaré. Ya lo tengo hecho, yo me encargaré, yo me encargo de ello, yo os salvaré.
5 Whom would you compare me with, as an equal, or match me against, as though we were alike?	5 ¿A quién me podréis asemejar o comparar? ¿A quién me asemejaréis para que seamos parecidos?
6 There are those who pour out gold from a purse and weigh out silver on the scales; Then they hire a goldsmith to make it into a god before which they fall down in worship.	6 Sacan el oro de sus bolsas, pesan la plata en la balanza, y pagan a un orfebre para que les haga un dios, al que adoran y ante el cual se postran.
7 They lift it to their shoulders to carry; when they set it in place again, it stays, and does not move from the spot. Although they cry out to it, it cannot answer; it delivers no one from distress.	7 Se lo cargan al hombro y lo transportan, lo colocan en su sitio y allí se queda. No se mueve de su lugar. Hasta llegan a invocarle, mas no responde, no salva de la angustia.
8 Remember this and be firm, bear it well in mind, you rebels; remember the former things, those long ago:	8 Recordad esto y sed hombres, tened seso, rebeldes,
9 I am God, there is no other; I am God, there is none like me.	9 recordad lo pasado desde antiguo, pues yo soy Dios y no hay ningún otro, yo soy Dios, no hay otro como yo.
10 At the beginning I foretell the outcome; in advance, things not yet done. I say that my plan shall stand, I accomplish my every purpose.	10 Yo anuncio desde el principio lo que viene después y desde el comienzo lo que aún no ha sucedido. Yo digo: Mis planes se realizarán y todos mis deseos llevaré a cabo.
11 I call from the east a bird of prey, from a distant land, one to carry out my plan. Yes, I have spoken, I will accomplish it; I have planned it, and I will do it.	11 Yo llamo del Oriente un ave rapaz de un país lejano al hombre en quien pensé. Tal como lo he dicho, así se cumplirá; como lo he planeado, así lo haré.
12 Listen to me, you fainthearted, you who seem far from the victory of justice:	12 Escuchadme vosotros, los que habéis perdido el corazón, los que estáis alejados de lo justo.
13 I am bringing on my justice, it is not far off, my salvation shall not tarry; I will put salvation within Zion, and give to Israel my glory.	13 Yo hago acercarse mi victoria, no está lejos, mi salvación no tardará. Pondré salvación en Sión, mi prez será para Israel.
