NEW AMERICAN BIBLEDOUAI-RHEIMS
A psalm of Asaph. God rises in the divine council, gives judgment in the midst of the gods.1 A psalm for Asaph. God hath stood in the congregation of gods: and being in the midst of them he judgeth gods.
"How long will you judge unjustly and favor the cause of the wicked? Selah2 How long will you judge unjustly: and accept the persons of the wicked?
Defend the lowly and fatherless; render justice to the afflicted and needy.3 Judge for the needy and fatherless: do justice to the humble and the poor.
Rescue the lowly and poor; deliver them from the hand of the wicked."4 Rescue the poor; and deliver the needy out of the hand of the sinner.
The gods neither know nor understand, wandering about in darkness, and all the world's foundations shake.5 They have not known nor understood: they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth shall be moved.
I declare: "Gods though you be, offspring of the Most High all of you,6 I have said: You are gods and all of you the sons of the most High.
Yet like any mortal you shall die; like any prince you shall fall."7 But you like men shall die: and shall fall like one of the princes.
Arise, O God, judge the earth, for yours are all the nations.8 Arise, O God, judge thou the earth: for thou shalt inherit among all the nations.
